Live 2 Give

Live to Give

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"It is possible to give freely and become more wealthy..."
Proverbs 11:24, NLT

TODAY'S WORD:

Start giving your life away, and before you know it the blessings of God will chase you down and overtake you. You may think that there is very little, if anything, that you can give, but that's just not true. You've got plenty to give because many times giving has nothing to do with money or possessions. You can give a smile, you can give a word of encouragement, or you can give your time. Begin each day with a determination to be a blessing to as many other people as possible. That's a great goal to begin each day chasing!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

God, thank You for thinking of me first. Give me the strength and insight to see the needs of others and help fulfill them. I know when I do this I will begin experiencing Your blessing! In Jesus' name. Amen.

God Is on Your Side

God Is on Your Side

No matter what you’re going to face this next week, you’re not going to face it alone. God is with you, he is in you, and he is for you.

Philippians 2:13 says, “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him” (NLT).

“God is working in you.” The word “working” in Greek is the word energos, from which we get the word “energy.” God is the energy driver in your life. You’re not just going on willpower. You’re not just going on your own power. God says he will give you the power you need, no matter what you’re facing.

Not only is he in you, he is with you. The Bible says, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you” (John 14:18, 20 NIV). That’s quite a promise! The Bible says Christ is in you; the Bible says you’re hid with Christ in God; and the Bible says you’re sealed with the Holy Spirit. That means for the devil to get to you, he’s got to get through the Trinity! That’s a pretty good protection. That is a great fear reliever.

Not only is God with you and in you; God is also for you. Romans 8:31 says, “If God is for us, no one can defeat us” (NCV).

When a shepherd leads the sheep, there are always guard dogs at the back, nipping at the sheep to keep them moving in the right direction.

The Bible says that the guard dogs in your life are goodness and mercy. God gives you the things you don’t deserve — that is his goodness. And, he doesn’t give you the things you do deserve — that’s his mercy.

Do you ever feel the smile of God in your life? If you don’t, you don’t really know God. Some people think God is like the angry parent who’s mad at them all the time. No. God is for you!

If you want to be happy, you need to get up every morning and say, “God, thank you that you’re going to be with me today, you’re going to be in me today, and you’re going to be for me today.”

Isn’t that great news? If God is with you, and God is in you, and God is for you, what in the world are you doing being depressed?

Do You Have Room for God?

Do You Have Room for God?

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
Psalm 46:10, NIV

TODAY'S WORD:

Being fruitful means being productive and excelling in everything you do. When you're fruitful, life isn't a drain, it doesn't wear you out and you don't have to force things to happen. When you confuse fruitfulness with busyness, you can head down a path that wears you out and robs God of His glory. You can be content when you're being fruitful because you know you're living a life that is pleasing to God. A fruitful life blesses others and receives God's blessings in return. This is how God intended your life to be!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

God, I know that I am often too busy for my own good. Help me to slow down when necessary and even say "no" to some things so I can give You my best. Thank You for Your love and for designing me to be fruitful! In Jesus' name. Amen.

The Battle in the Mind

http://bible.com/111/rom.8.6-8.niv

ROM 8:6-8  The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

Prayer of Blessing

Prayer of Blessing

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"Love GOD, your God, with your whole heart: love him with all that's in you, love him with all you've got! Write these commandments that I've given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night. Tie them on your hands and foreheads as a reminder; inscribe them on the doorposts of your homes and on your city gates."
Deuteronomy 6:5-9, MSG

TODAY'S WORD:

When you need to remember an important meeting or memorize an assignment, what do you do? Most people write it down and put it in a place where they will see it constantly, like a mirror or a refrigerator. Do the same thing with God's Word, because it will help you to remember God's promises. The Bible is God's Word to His people, and should be memorized so that it stays in your mind and your heart. Read the Scripture each day and store its words in your heart, because they are all true!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

God, thank You for giving us Your Word, which promises your blessing to me. I know that if I dedicate myself to following Your Word, my life will be enriched and I will experience the blessings You have for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Dark Night of the Soul

Cry out to God during the dark night of the soul

Read Psalm 13:1-6

Dark Night of the Soul is a poem written by St John of the Cross (1542–1591). He describes the painful experiences that we sometimes endure as we seek to grow in spiritual maturity and in our relationship with God.

There are periods when it appears that God has forgotten us. It seems that he has hidden his face. For some inexplicable reason we don’t sense his presence with us. Every day seems to be a struggle – wrestling with our thoughts. Every day seems to bring sorrow. We seem to be losing the battle and the enemy seems to be triumphing over us.

In the middle of this dark night David continues to cry out to God, ‘Look on me and answer, O Lord my God. Give light to my eyes’. We see four things that we should continue to do during the ‘dark night of the soul’:

Keep praying
David pours out his heart to God. It is so important not to give up praying even when God seems far away.

Keep trusting
‘But I trust in your unfailing love’. ‘I’ve thrown myself headlong into your arms’ . It is relatively easy to have faith when things are going well, but the test of faith is when things do not appear to be going well.

Keep rejoicing
David does not rejoice in the trials, but in God’s salvation. He says, ‘my heart rejoices in your salvation’. ‘I’m celebrating your rescue’.

Keep worshipping
‘I will sing to the Lord’. David remembers all that God has done for him. As we begin to praise and worship God, it brings perspective to our problems.

Lord, I worship you today. Thank you for your goodness to me. Thank you for your salvation. Thank you for Jesus, my Saviour. Lord, I trust you for the battles ahead. I trust in your unfailing love.

Think Big

Think Big

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen."
Ephesians 3:20-21, ESV

TODAY'S WORD:

Do you ever have trouble thinking big and trusting God for something big? If you do, you're not alone, because everyone has. But in order to experience all the blessings God has in store for you, you must step out of your small box and dive into the large box of God's love. Sometimes it's difficult to have a God-sized life view and expectations, but when you learn to really trust God, you'll see Him do great things for you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

God, Your Word says that You are bigger than I could ever imagine, and I thank You for Your bigger plans for me. Give me the strength to trust You and expect You to do great things in my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Fulfil Your Potential

Fulfil Your Potential

In life, many people do not reach their full potential. We can become so caught up in the everyday that it is easy to continue in old patterns rather than change. Yet, we all have a God-given desire to live to our full potential. Perhaps you remember this celebrated biography:

‘Solomon Grundy … Born on a Monday …
Christened on Tuesday … Married on Wednesday …
Took ill on Thursday … Grew worse on Friday …
Died on Saturday … Buried on Sunday …
And that was the end of Solomon Grundy.’

In life there are many people, like Solomon Grundy, who do not reach their full potential. And yet, the potential of every human being is great. Jesus wants us to live highly productive lives. He wants us to produce ‘a crop – a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown’ (Matthew 13:8). The key to that potential lies in our relationship with Jesus – a relationship that can be as close as that of a brother or sister or mother (12:50). We can live lives of real purpose that will make a difference to the world, because of what we receive from him (13:11–12,16).

Our potential is not about being driven by ambition or success; it is about recognising who we are in God. As we seek him and live our lives according to his purposes, we will begin to bear much fruit. The more we begin to fulfil our God-given potential, the more he entrust to us. He wants us to live lives of abundance (13:12).

Friends

Friends

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense."
Proverbs 27:9, NLT

TODAY'S WORD:

Friends help make this life a little better each day. You can probably think of multiple instances where a good friend changed the day for you and made you look on the brighter side. That's exactly what God intended friendship to be. True friends know you well; they give you wise advice from the Word of God. No ministry would ever get off the ground without support from friends in the faith, and this ministry is certainly no exception. The wonderful things God has done through this outreach are a direct result of the commitment that friends like you have made to stand with us in reaching out to millions of people around the world. Everyone needs a faithful friend - so why not make a commitment today to be a friend to someone who needs you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

God, thank You for the friends that You have put in my life. May I be the encourager and strengthener that I know You want me to be. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Slow Down and Enjoy the Journey

Slow Down and Enjoy the Journey

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
(Psalm 118:24, NKJV)

TODAY’S WORD

Everyone wants to live joyful and victorious lives. That’s what God wants for you, too, and He knows the best way to get you there. But He also wants you to enjoy the trip! Here are two things to remember today that will help you slow down and enjoy this day God has given you. First, God is in control! He is directing your steps according to His plan. Second, God has your best interest in mind at all times. That means His plan for you is good, one that is designed to help you be the person He created you to be. So relax and enjoy the journey! Let God take you where He wants you to be in His timing, not yours. Remember, God is never late!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, thank You that You have my best in mind. Give me patience as I wait upon Your timing and make the journey one step at a time. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Recovering What Has Been Lost

Recovering What Has Been Lost

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten.”
(Joel 2:25, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD

You can break free of the hurt, the pain, and the mistakes of the past, and recover the years, the joy and the blessings that have been stolen from you. God wants to restore these things to you — not just the way they were before — but twice as much so that you are far better off than when you began. No matter where you are today, or what happened to you yesterday, God wants to give you a new future filled with joy, fulfillment and abundance, a forgotten past and a fresh future! No matter where you are today, or what happened to you yesterday, God wants to give you a new start and a future that is better than anything you could ask for or even imagine.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, give me the strength to break free from anything in my past that is holding me back. Thank you for being the God of new beginnings. In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Heavenly Holy Matrimony

Keep Looking Ahead!

Keep Looking Ahead!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you.”
(Proverbs 4:25, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD

In order to fulfill your divine destiny, you have to know your purpose. You need a plan and then you must work within that plan. You should wake up each day knowing where you’re going, which direction you will take to get there and what you want to accomplish. Once you find your purpose, stick with it! Don’t allow the distractions of life to get you off course. Ask yourself, “Is what I’m doing moving me toward my God-given destiny? Am I staying focused? Is this my purpose or am I just wasting my time being busy?” Don’t be distracted and spend your time and energy on things that may be interesting, but are not helping you fulfill your destiny. Remember, God’s plans are blessed and as you walk in His plan for your life, you will experience His abundant blessing on everything you set your hand to!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, Your Word promises that You will guide me if I seek You. Show me how to order my time and arrange my schedule to accomplish Your will. In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Jesus, I need you.

Jesus, I need you.

These days we are all so full of ourselves, without even realizing it, but what we desperately need is to be filled with Christ. It is often even difficult to discern how different our ways are from His ways because, no matter what kind of home we have been raised in, Christian or non-Christian, because of our indwelling sin and because we have grown up in a church that is within the culture, we have acquired habits, behaviors, thought patterns, and reasoning from many sources other than Jesus Christ, without even knowing it.

This was Paul’s aim: "For me to live is Christ" (Philippians 1:21). Paul did not always live to Christ. He only began to do so when Jesus confronted Him on the road to Damascus and convinced him of his sin, and when by grace he was brought to see Jesus for who He was (Acts 9:1-19). Make Jesus your prayer and cry out to Him. Ask Jesus to give you the ability to seek Him first as He commanded in Matthew 6:33,
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Shall we do this small prayer looking unto Jesus this morning ?

"Jesus, I need you. I can’t do life without you.
Jesus, you are not just an idea, a list of dos and don’ts, a doctrine, or a cause. I need you and I want you! I want to know you so well that I know you better than I know anyone—my family, my friends, my closest friend—even myself. I want you to be with me right here, right now. I long to be able to sit next to you, to spend time in your presence, and to ask you questions that flood my mind and my heart. I want to be able to run to you, lay my head on your shoulder, pour out my heart to you, and have you put your arms around me and speak truth to me—even the hard truth. I need your help, your grace, your mercy. I can’t do life alone."

Lord Jesus, grant me your grace, your mercy, and your lovingkindness to enable me to see you, know you, love you, and be one with you. Thank you that your Word tells me if we ask anything in your name and according to your will that you will do it. Amen. (John 14:13-14)

"Have a Blessed day"

Abide in His mighty hands, so that He'll lift you up in due time.

Quote for the Day:

=> The most humble statement- " I'm nothing without God".

=> The most powerful statement- " With God I can do everything".

Turning a Corner

Turning a Corner

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.”
(Psalm 16:7–8, NLT)

TODAY’S WORD

At one point or another, your life will change. You will turn corners and come upon new blessings and challenges in your lifetime. This can be a positive experience, because it means that God is ready to change you and bring you into a new season of blessing. God never made you with the intention of staying the same. Instead, He made you so that you would change and grow and move forward. God is not in the business of becoming stagnant and never changing. God has promised you that He will never leave you or be too far away. Even though you may turn a corner without knowing what is on the other side, God knows. He will not allow you to trip or stumble when you’re following Him completely. So go ahead and turn those corners in confidence with God at your side!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, thank You for Your promised companionship. Give me strength to turn the corners of my life and to honor You in doing so. In  Jesus’ Name. Amen.

What Are Your Goals?

What Are Your Goals?

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward-to Jesus.I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back."
Philippians 3:13-14, MSG

TODAY'S WORD:

The reason it is so important for you to set and achieve goals is that you have a unique purpose that only you can fulfill. It's kind of like building your own house-something you had better not attempt without a clear vision of your goals and a good set of blueprints, or you may wind up with some extra doors or windows and no place to put them!God is the architect of your life. His Word is a blueprint of His hopes and plans for your life.Trust Him to help you set your goals. If you have a problem being focused and setting goals for your life, one of the best things you can do is to start writing them down, both short-term and long-term ones. It's amazing how your life can begin to take shape when you can see on paper where you want to go.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

God, thank You that You are the architect of my life.Give me the wisdom to follow Your blueprint and set goals that reflect Your desires for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

How To Have A Happy n prosperous 2015

How To Have A Happy n prosperous 2015

1. Wake Up
Decide to have a good day.
"Today is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice & be glad in it" - Psalm 118:24.

2. Dress Up
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

"A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed" prov 15:13

3. Shut Up
Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking.

"He who guards his lips guard his soul." - Proverbs 13:3.

"Gossip betrays confidence avoid men who talk too much" - Proverbs 20:19.

4. Stand Up
For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.

"Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good ..." - Galatians 6:9-10.

5. Look Up
To the Lord.
"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength" - Philippians 4:13.

6. Reach Up
For something higher.
" . . . press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:14

7. Lift Up
Your Prayers.
"Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING" - Philippians 4:6

God's choicest blessings always!

Just do it!

Just do it!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"Be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, for the Lord God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished."
I Chronicles 28:20, ESV

TODAY'S WORD:

Fear not. That is the message David had for his son, Solomon. For many years, David wanted to build a temple for the Lord. But God told Him that specific job belonged to his son, Solomon. Solomon was young and inexperienced, and even though he knew he had a mandate from God, he was intimidated by the prospect of building a great house of worship, one that would be a dwelling place for the Most High. You can probably understand his apprehension.

But his father David had some good advice for him. He told his son, "Forget your fear. God is bigger than your problems. He is bigger than the temple you are going to build. He is bigger than any adversity that you might face. So just get busy and do your part and God will do the rest."

Perhaps as this new year approaches, you have some changes that need to be made. Maybe you need a renovation in your marriage, finances, health, or emotions. Whatever your individual needs may be, notice the words of David, "Be strong and courageous, and do it. Fear not, be not dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you."

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

God, I'm excited to see what You have planned for me this year. Whatever I face, I will not be intimidated. I will begin this year by seeing myself as You do—happy, healthy, and prosperous. Thank you for the gift of another year. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Something New for You!

Something New for You!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
Isaiah 43:19, NLT

TODAY'S WORD:

It’s a new year, and God has something new in store for you! His plan for your life is not for you to reach one level and get stuck and stay there for 30 or 40 years. His plan is to increase you, open new doors before you, and take you places that you’ve never imagined. He has something big in your future, and He has something big in store for this year! He’s already planned out big breaks, big opportunities, and big ideas for you. You may have seen God’s goodness in the past, but you have not touched the surface of what God has for you in 2015 ! He is doing a new thing!

I believe this new thing is going to be far greater than you’ve ever seen before. It’s going to be bigger than you imagined. It’s going to be more rewarding than you thought possible. Receive it by faith and declare, “Yes, God, this is for me today. I’m not going to get stuck where I am. I know You’re a big God, and You have something new coming my way!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for a new day and a new year to glorify You. Thank You for choosing me and using me for Your purposes. I set my love on You today knowing that You have something new in store for me this year in Jesus’ name. Amen.
