“அவர் சகலத்தையும் அதினதின் காலத்திலே நேர்த்தியாகச் செய்திருக்கிறார்;…” - பிரசங்கி 3:11

வயது முதிர்ந்த ஊழியர் ஒருவர் பகிர்ந்து கொண்ட சாட்சி இது. அவரது ஒரே மகன் தனது பன்னிரெண்டாம் வகுப்பை முடித்திருந்தார். சிறுவயதிலிருந்தே நன்றாகப் படிப்பவர். எனவே டாக்டர் சீட் கிடைக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்த்திருந்தனர். MBBS சீட் கிடைக்காததால் மகன் மிகவும் சோர்வோடு, “என் பெற்றோர் மிஷனெரிகளாக எவ்வளவு கஷ்டப்பட்டு ஊழியத்தை செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். ஆண்டவர் ஏன் இந்த மெடிக்கல் சீட் எனக்கு கிடைக்கும்படி செய்யவில்லை” என்று மிகவும் வருத்தமடைந்தான். தகப்பனாரோ ஆண்டவர் எதைச் செய்தாலும் நன்மைக்காகவே செய்வார் என்று கூறினார். ஆனால் மருந்துகள் ஆய்வு செய்யும் துறையில் அவனுக்கு சீட் கிடைத்தது. தன் படிப்பை முடித்து வேலையில் இணைந்தார். படிப்படியாய் தேர்வுகள் எழுதி தற்போது வெளிநாடுகளிலிருந்து இந்தியாவிற்கு இறக்குமதியாகும் மருந்துகளுக்கு கையெழுத்திட்டு அனுமதி வழங்கும் துறையில் பெரிய அதிகாரியாக டெல்லியில் இருக்கிறார். ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமையிலும் ஒரு வீட்டு ஆராதனைக் குழுவை நடத்தி ஊழியம் செய்து வருகிறார். தன் தந்தையிடம்,  “MBBS சீட் கிடைக்காமல் தேவன் நன்மையே செய்திருக்கிறார். கிடைத்திருந்தால் ஒரு சாதாரண டாக்டராக மட்டுமே இருந்திருப்பேன். ஆனால் இப்பொழுதோ M.D, M.S படித்த மூத்த டாக்டர்கள் என்னிடத்தில் வேலை செய்கிறார்கள். இன்டர்வியூவிற்கு வருகிறார்கள். தேவன் எப்பொழுதும் யாருடைய வாழ்விலும் தவறு செய்வதில்லை. தரமானதை மாத்திரம் செய்வார்” என்றார்.

மத்தேயு நான்காம் அதிகாரத்திலும் நீர் தேவனுடைய குமாரனேயானால் கல்லுகள் அப்பங்களாகும்படி சொல்லும், தாழக்குதியும் என்று இயேசுவை பிசாசு சோதிக்கிறான். நாமும் ஆண்டவருக்கு பிரியமாய் தானே வாழ்கிறோம், ஊழியத்தைத்தானே செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். ஆனாலும் காரியங்கள் ஏன் எதிர்பார்த்தபடி நடப்பதில்லை என்று நம்மை பிசாசு சோர்வடையச் செய்து, குறுக்கு வழிகளை ஞாபகப்படுத்துவான். அப்போது இயேசு, மனுஷன் அப்பத்தினாலே (நாம் எதிர்பார்க்கும் காரியங்கள்) மாத்திரமல்ல, தேவனுடைய வாயிலிருந்து புறப்படுகிற ஒவ்வொரு வார்த்தையினாலும் (நாம் எதிர்பார்க்காத அவருடைய காரியங்கள் மூலமாகவும்) அற்புதம் செய்ய முடியும்.

அன்பு தேவப்பிள்ளைகளே! நாம் எதிர்பார்க்கிறபடி காரியங்கள் நடக்காதபோது, எனது விருப்பமல்ல ஆண்டவரின் விருப்பமே என் வாழ்வில் நிறைவேறி வருகிறது என்பதை முழுமனதோடு விசுவாசித்து ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள். நம் வாழ்வின் எஜமானர் அவரே! நாம் நம்முடையவர்களல்ல அவருடைய சொத்து! அவர் யாருடைய வாழ்விலும் தவறு செய்வதில்லை, தாமதிப்பதில்லை ஆனால் தரமானதை தருவது முழு நிச்சயம்! எதிர்பார்ப்போடு பொறுமையாய் ஓடுவோம்! அல்லேலூயா.

"The Secret of a Blessed Marriage" Day-2

"But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery" (Matthew 5:32).

Read Matthew 5:31-32. At this point in Jewish history, there was a debate raging between Pharisees and other teachers of the law. It concerned a foundational issue from God's Law: marriage and divorce. You see, Deuteronomy 24:1 describes a certain situation in which a man divorces his wife because she becomes "displeasing to him" because "he finds something indecent about her."

One group of rabbis said that this "something indecent" was adultery and only adultery. Another group said that it could be anything that offended the husband—from burning the dinner to embarrassing him in public. In other words, this more liberal school of thought believed that a husband could divorce his wife for any reason at all. That sounds a lot like our culture today, doesn't it?

Jesus, knowing that this discussion was in their minds, spoke with absolute authority on the subject. He said, "I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery" (Matthew 5:32).

On another occasion, Jesus described God's design for marriage this way: "Haven't you read . . . that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'?" (Matthew 19:4-5). One flesh is not easily broken. Marriage was intended to last a lifetime, but our self-centeredness makes this incredibly challenging. But there is a way to affair-proof your marriage.

The most important thing is to get over your narcissism. We are all narcissists to varying degrees. But if you want to overcome this dangerous form of self-centeredness, Jesus can show you the way. Discover your spouse's real needs and seek by God's grace to meet those needs. Make no mistake, you will need His supernatural help. You need God's power, strength, mercy, and grace to meet your spouse's needs. But it will be worth it.

This is what God intended when He created marriage—that selfless love would be put on display for all the world to see. It's a picture of God's love for sinners, of Christ's love for His church (see Ephesians 5:31-32). When both husband and wife are seeking God's best for one another, when each partner is more concerned with the other person's needs above his or her own, marriage is one of the most beautiful things to behold in our world.

Prayer: Lord, I ask that You would work in my heart to humble me so that I can love and serve my spouse sacrificially. May I follow Your example. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“...நீ உன் சகோதரனைக் குற்றவாளியென்று தீர்க்கிறதென்ன?… நாமெல்லாரும் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய நியாயாசனத்திற்கு முன்பாக நிற்போமே.” – ரோமர் 14:10 

இலட்சம்பேர்களை கொன்று குவித்த சர்வாதிகாரி ஹிட்லரைக் குறித்து ஒருவர் கூறும் போது, “ஹிட்லரை நரகத்தில் போடும் முன் இன்னும் நரகத்தை பல மடங்கு சூடாக்க வேண்டும்” என்றாராம். அதாவது அவருக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட வேண்டிய தண்டனை நரகத்தை விட கொடியதாயிருக்க வேண்டுமென்பதே! ஆனால் வேதம் கூறுவது என்ன? நீ யாரையும் நியாயம் தீர்க்க வேண்டாம். ஏனென்றால் “எல்லோரும்” கிறிஸ்துவின் நியாயாசனத்திற்கு முன்பாக நிற்க வேண்டும். அதாவது நீ படுபாவியாக நினைப்பவன் மாத்திரமல்ல, நீயும் கணக்கொப்புவிக்க தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்க வேண்டும் என்பதே! ஆகவே யாரையும் நியாயம் தீர்க்கவோ, குற்றவாளியாக தீர்க்கவோ முந்திக்கொள்ளவேண்டாம். இது நம் வேலையுமல்ல.

இயேசு ஒரு நாள் எருசலேமிலே இருந்தபோது பரிசேயர்கள் விபச்சாரத்தில் கையும் மெய்யுமாக பிடித்த ஒரு பெண்ணை கொண்டு வந்து அவர் முன் நிறுத்தினார்கள். அவர்கள் அனைவரும் அவளைக் கல்லெறிந்து கொல்ல வேண்டும் என ஆயத்தமாய் நின்றபோது “உங்களில் பாவமில்லாதவன் முதலில் கல்லெறியட்டும்” என்றார் இயேசுகிறிஸ்து. அதைக் கேட்டவுடன் ஒருவர் கூட அந்த இடத்தில் இல்லை. ஆம், வெளிப்படையாக பாவம் செய்தவளை ஜனங்கள் கண்டனர் ஆனால் எல்லாருடைய அந்தரங்கங்களையும் அறிந்த ஆண்டவரோ, “அவளை குற்றவாளியாக தீர்க்கும் நீயும் பாவிதானே” என்பதை அழகாய் சுட்டிக் காட்டினார்.

இதை வாசித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் நண்பரே! நமக்கு எப்போதுமே பிறருடைய குற்றங்கள்தான் கண்முன் நிற்கும். அவர்கள் தண்டிக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்ற வேகம் நம்மிடத்தில் உண்டு. ஆனால் இன்றைய தியானம் கூறும் செய்தி என்ன? நாம் ஒவ்வொருவருமே நம்மைக் குறித்து தேவனிடம் கணக்கொப்புவிக்க வேண்டும். காரியம் இப்படி இருப்பதினால் நாம் யாரையும் குற்றவாளிகளென்று தீர்க்க வேண்டாம். நம்மை நாமே நிதானித்துப் பார்ப்போம். நீதியுள்ள நியாயாதிபதி இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவே! நாம் ஒரு போதும் அவருடைய சிம்மாசனத்தில் அமர முயற்சிக்க வேண்டாம். பவுல் ரோமாபுரியிலுள்ள சபையாருக்கு கூறும் இந்த ஆலோசனைகளுக்கு நாமும் கீழ்ப்படிவோம். தேவ சமுகத்தில் இரக்கம் பெறுவோம்.

"The Gift of Sex Within Marriage" Day-1

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart" (Matthew 5:27-28).

Read Matthew 5:27-30. Though sin is at the root of the problems in our world today, God is most concerned with the source of that sin—for He knows that true holiness means stopping sin at its source: within the heart. Take, for example, sexual sin. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, "[A]nyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart" (Matthew 5:28). As Bible-believing Christians, we are not against sex. Rather, we believe that sexuality is a gift from God. We believe that God created sex as a beautiful gift to be shared by a husband and wife within the bounds of marriage. And yet, man perverted the good gift of sex, just as he perverts all the gifts of God.

The reason our culture is so obsessed with sex is because people want God's good gifts without God Himself. But when we disregard all of the necessary boundaries God has placed around sex, there are consequences. It's a dangerous situation to find ourselves in, which is why Jesus said, "If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away" (Matthew 5:29). Now, of course, Jesus wasn't instructing His followers to practice a form of self-mutilation. Instead, He was using Hebrew hyperbole to emphasize an important point: If there is an area where temptation comes through the eye, look away. Pretend you are blind. 

Why is sexual purity so important? Because, one day, "each of us will give an account of ourselves to God" (Romans 14:12). This judgment will determine our eternal rewards. Heavenly rewards are far more important than any temporary gratification—and they last infinitely longer. It is better to accept alienation in this world, to deny immediate gratification, than to risk losing your heavenly reward.

Just as anger has to be controlled by God's power alone, so must sexual desire be controlled by the power of God at work within us. Give yourself to Him completely. Train your eye to look away from anything that will cause you to stumble. Ask for help from those in your life and from your church community. And look each day to the promises of Jesus—for He is better than anything this world has to offer.

Prayer: Father, thank You that Your power is at work within me to make me holy as You are holy. May I use Your good gifts to me as You intended and thus bear witness to Your infinite worth and wisdom as I trust You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

எக்காள சத்தம்

"எக்காள சத்தம்" 

"எக்காளம் தொனிக்கும், அப்பொழுது மரித்தோர் அழிவில்லாதவர்களாய் எழுந்திருப்பார்கள்; நாமும் மறுரூபமாக்கப்படுவோம். அழிவுள்ளதாகிய இது அழியாமையையும், சாவுக்கேதுவாகிய இது சாவாமையையும் தரித்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். அழிவுள்ளதாகிய இது அழியாமையையும், சாவுக்கேதுவாகிய இது சாவாமையையும் தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்போது, மரணம் ஜெயமாக விழுங்கப்பட்டது என்று எழுதியிருக்கிற வார்த்தை நிறைவேறும்." - (1கொரிந்தியர் 15:52-54).

பஞ்சு ஆலையில் ஒருவர் வேலை செய்து கொண்டிருந்தார். அவருக்கு பகல் வேலையும், இரவு வேலையும் மாறி மாறி வரும். ஓவ்வொரு முறை வேலை ஆரம்பிக்கும்போதும் அந்த ஆலையிலுள்ள சங்கு முழங்கும். சில வேளைகளில் அவர், மனைவி பிள்ளைகளோடு அயர்ந்து தூங்கி கொண்டு இருப்பார். இரவு நேர வேலைக்காக இரவு 12 மணிக்கு சங்கு ஊதும் சத்தம் கேட்டு, எழுந்திருந்து முகத்தை கழுவிவிட்டு வேலைக்கு செல்வார். அந்த வீட்டில் தூங்கும் பலர் அந்த சத்தத்ததை பொருட்படுத்துவதில்லை. அவரும் அவருடைய மனைவியும் மட்டுமே அந்த சத்தத்தை கேட்டு எழும்புவார்கள். மனைவி வேகமாக, காப்பி போட்டு கொடுக்க அவர் தன் வேலைக்கு செல்லுவார். மற்றவர்களோ அயர்ந்து தூங்கி கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

பாருங்கள், அவருக்கு மட்டும் அந்த சங்கின் சத்தம் கேட்கிறது. காரணம் அவருடைய உள்ளத்தை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி வைத்திருந்த படியினால்தான். வேலைக்கு செல்ல வேண்டுமென்ற கடமை உணர்வு இருக்கிறபடியால் அவரால் எழுந்து விட முடிகிறது. மற்றவர்கள் அதை பொருட்படுத்தாததினால் சங்கு சத்தம் அவர்கள் காதில் விழுவதும் இல்லை, எழுந்தரிப்பதும் இல்லை.

இதோ போலதான் அநேக பரிசுத்தவான்கள் இரவிலே படுக்க போகுமுன், ‘ஆவியானவரே என்னை நான்கு மணிக்கே எழுப்பும்’ என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு படுக்கைக்கு செல்கிறார்கள். எப்போது நான்கு மணியாகும்? என் நேசருடைய முகத்தை காண்பேன், மனம் திறந்து அவரிடம் பேசி உறவு கொள்வேன் என்ற ஆவலில் சரியாக நான்கு மணிக்கே எழும்பி விடுவார்கள். மற்றவர்களோ அயர்ந்து தூங்கி கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் வருகையின் நாளில் கூட இதே காரியம்தான் சம்பவிக்க போகிறது. யாரெல்லாம் அவருடைய வருகையிலே காணப்பட வேண்டும் என்கிற ஏக்கத்தோடும் வாஞ்சையோடும் வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களோ அவர்கள் அந்த எக்காள சத்தத்தை கேட்ட உடன் அறிந்து கொள்வார்கள் இயேசுவின் வருகை வந்துவிட்டது என்று. இமைப்பொழுதில் மறுரூபமாக்கப்பட்டு ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவை சந்திப்பதற்கு மத்திய ஆகாயத்திற்கு பறந்து செல்வார்கள். மற்றவர்களுக்கு அந்த சத்தம் கேட்பதும் இல்லை, அவர்கள் எதிர்கொண்டு போவதும் இல்லை.

ஏனெனில், கர்த்தர் தாமே ஆரவாரத்தோடும், பிரதான தூதனுடைய சத்தத்தோடும், தேவ எக்காளத்தோடும் வானத்திலிருந்து இறங்கிவருவார்; அப்பொழுது கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் மரித்தவர்கள் முதலாவது எழுந்திருப்பார்கள். பின்பு உயிரோடிருக்கும் நாமும் கர்த்தருக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோக, மேகங்கள்மேல் அவர்களோடேகூட ஆகாயத்தில் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டு, இவ்விதமாய் எப்பொழுதும் கர்த்தருடனேகூட இருப்போம் என (1தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 4: 16-17) ல் பார்க்கிறோம். அப்போது அழிவுள்ள இந்த சரீரம் அழியாமையை தரித்துக் கொள்ளும்போது, மரணம் ஜெயமாக விழுங்கப்படும் அல்லேலூயா! அந்த பொன்னான நாளில் நாம் மறுரூபமாக்கப்படும்படி, இப்போதே ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தால் கழுவப்பட்டு பரிசுத்தமாய் நம்மை காத்துக்கொள்வோம். இயேசுகிறிஸ்து சீக்கிரம் வருகிறார்! ஆமென்!

பிரியமானவர்களே, நமக்கு எந்த ஒரு காரியத்தில் வாஞ்சையும் தாகமும் அதிகமாக இருக்கிறதோ, அது சம்பந்தமான விஷயங்களை கேட்க நம் இருதயம் எப்போதும் விழித்தே இருக்கும். அது போல தேவன் மேல் வாஞ்சையும் தாகமும் இருக்குமானால் அவருடைய வசனத்தை கேட்க, அவருடன் உறவு கொள்ள நம் இருதயம் ஏங்கும், எப்போது அவர் வந்தாலும் அவரை சந்திக்க ஆயத்தமாயிருக்கும். ஆயத்தமாவோமா! ஆமென் அல்லேலூயா!

ஜெபம்: எங்கள் கன்மலையும் மீட்பருமாகிய கர்த்தாவே உம்மை துதிக்கிறோம். இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் வருகை எப்போது நடந்தாலும் நாங்கள் அவருக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுவரும்படியாக எங்களை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி கொள்ள கிருபை செய்யும். எக்காள சத்தம் தொனிக்கையில் நாங்கள் மறுரூபமாகக்கப்பட்டு, கர்த்தருடனே கூட என்றென்றும் இருக்கும்படியாக, அந்த சத்தத்தை கேட்கும் காதுகளையும், விழிப்புணர்வுடன் எங்களை ஆயத்தபடுத்தவும் உதவி செய்யும். எங்கள் ஜெபத்தை கேட்டு எங்களுக்கு பதில் கொடுப்பவரே உமக்கே நன்றி. இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்தில் ஜெபிக்கிறோம் எங்கள் ஜீவனுள்ள நல்ல பிதாவே ஆமென்.

"Finishing Well" Day-10.

"He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!" (Acts 28:31).

If you visit Rome, you can see the dungeon that once housed the apostle Paul. You can stand within the same four solid walls that once formed his cell. There are no windows, no doors, no way of escape; and yet, for Paul, it was not a place of defeat or fear. It was a place of both victory and hope. Although Paul was confined physically, he was free spiritually.  

When Paul got to Rome, the first thing he did was share with his fellow Jews the Truth about Jesus. The Bible says they objected. But Paul knew that objections and objectors could not halt the work of God. He knew that what Satan employs as obstacles, God uses as instruments to sanctify His servants and fulfill His purpose.

Paul's obedience led him to three years in a Caesarean prison and two years under house arrest in Rome. But in these seemingly inconvenient situations, Paul was able to preach to kings and governors. Under house arrest in Rome, Paul wrote some of the most joyful, peaceful, and exciting epistles that we read, learn from, and rejoice in today: Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and 2 Timothy.

We know that from his Roman dungeon Paul was led to his execution. Yet, even in death, Paul did not face defeat. The moment after he drew his last earthly breath, he was embraced by the Lord. Note that Luke, the author of Acts, didn't end the book with more information about Paul's life or his execution. From God's perspective, the details of Paul's death were not important. What is important is that he finished well.

Today, the worldwide growth of the church testifies to God's foundational work through those who remained faithful to God's call even when their faith was tested. The disciples' attitude in difficult times should not only challenge us but also encourage us that we can have the same perspective in our own trials, sufferings, and even persecution.

Just days before he met Jesus face to face, Paul was able to say, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day" (2 Timothy 4:7-8). Are you ready to say the same? May the example of Paul and others inspire you in the strength of the Holy Spirit to run the race set before you so that you may finish well and get the prize.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the example of so many faithful brothers and sisters who have come before me proclaiming the Truth of the Gospel without regard for their own comfort. May I likewise trust in You for my every need and finish the race You have given me for Your glory and my good. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

நான் வருமளவும்…

"நான் வருமளவும்…"

"உங்களுக்குள்ளதை நான் வருமளவும் பற்றிக் கொண்டிருங்கள்" (வெளி.2:25).

பள்ளியில் பரீட்சை வரும்போது மாணவர்கள் ஜெபிக்கிறார்கள். “ஆண்டவரே, பரீட்சை இலகுவாகவேண்டும்”, “பதில்கள் தெரியவேண்டும்”. “எப்படியாவது பாஸ் பண்ணவேண்டும்”, இன்னொருவனோ, “திருத்துகிறவர்களைப் பொறுப்பெடும்” என்றான். ஒருவன் மாத்திரம் இப்படியாக ஜெபித்தான். “ஆண்டவரே, இவ்வளவு நாட்களும் என்னால் இயன்றளவு படித்தேன். அதற்கேற்ற பலன் தாரும்.” ஆம், பரீட்சை என்பது மெஜிக் அல்ல. அது ஒரு சாதனை. வாழ்வின் சாதனைகளும் அப்படியே!

விசுவாசிகளை தேவனைவிட்டு விலகச் செய்து, சத்தியத்தை மறைத்து இருட்டடிப்பு செய்து, கள்ள உபதேசங்களை உபதேசித்தவர்களுக்கு தியத்தீரா சபை இடமளித்தது. கிருபையின் உபதேசம் என்று சொல்லி, பாவம் செய்ய அனுசரணையாக இருக்கிற எந்த உபதேசமும் “சாத்தானின் ஆழங்கள்”தான். செய்கிறவனையும் அடுத்தவனையும் அழித்துப்போடும் விபசார பாவத்தைக் கண்டிக்காமல் இருப்பது தேவனுக்கு அருவருப்பான காரியம். இது சரீர விபசாரம். தேவனைவிட்டு விலகி, அந்நிய காரியங்களுக்கு நம்மை விற்றுப்போடுகிற எதுவும் விபச்சாரமே. இவற்றைச் சபையில் காண்பது வருந்தத்தக்க விஷயமாகும். பாவம் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டதால் நாம் எப்படியும் வாழலாம் என்று ஒருவன் சொன்னால், அவனே யேசபேலின் ஊழியன். உலகத்தை நன்றாய் அனுபவிக்கத்தக்க இப்படிப்பட்ட கள்ள உபதேசங்களினால் சோரம் போனவர்கள் இச்சபையில் அநேகர் இருந்தாலும்கூட, சோதனைகள் நிறைந்த இந்த சூழ்நிலையிலும் ஒரு சிலர் கர்த்தருக்கு உண்மையாக இருந்தார்கள் என்பதைக் கவனிக்கவேண்டும்.

கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்வென்பது ஏதோ இந்த உலகைவிட்டு பாவமே இல்லாத இடத்தில் வேறாக வாழ்வது அல்ல. பாவமும் பாரமும் நிறைந்த இந்த உலக வாழ்விலும் தேவனுக்கென்று வாழுவதே கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்வாகும். நமது குடும்பங் களில்கூட சவால்கள் வரும். இன்றைய நவீன சபையில்கூட பலத்த சவால் நம்மைச் சறுக்கச் செய்யலாம். பாவம் நமக்குச் சவாலிட நாம் இடமளித்தால் விழுந்துபோவது உறுதி. “எனக்கும் உனக்கும் என்ன” என்று நாம் பாவத்திற்குச் சவாலிடுவோம்! அப்போது நமக்கு அருளப்பட்ட இரட்சிப்பை நாம் காத்துக் கொள்வோம். இது ஒரு நாளில், அல்லது உடனடியாக நடக்கின்ற ஒன்றல்ல. நித்தமும் நாம் இதில் வளரவேண்டும். இதற்கு தைரியமும், விடாமுயற்சியும், தாகமும் வேண்டும். “முடிவுபரியந்தம் என் கிரியைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவன்” இதுவே தேவன் நம்மிடம் எதிர்பார்க்கின்ற காரியம். நாம் எப்படி?

நம்பிக்கையின் பூரண நிச்சயமுண்டாகும்படி நீங்கள் யாவரும் முடிவுபரியந்தம் அப்படியே ஜாக்கிரதையைக் காண்பிக்கவேண்டும்… (எபிரெயர் 6:12).

ஜெபம்: அன்பின் தேவனே, எனது தனி வாழ்விலும், குடும்ப வாழ்விலும், சபையிலும், சமுதாயத்தில் வருகின்ற சோதனைகளிலும், கிறிஸ்துவுக்காக நிலைநிற்க எனக்குக் கிருபை தாரும். ஆமென்.

"Crossing the Finish Line" Day- 9

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7).

Demas is mentioned three times in the New Testament. In Colossians and Philemon, Paul refers to him as a fellow worker in the Gospel. However, in 2 Timothy, we witness a heartbreaking turn of events in Demas' race of faith when Paul says, ". . . Demas, because he loved this world, has deserted me" (2 Timothy 4:10).  

Demas began right, but he ended wrong. As Paul's fellow worker in the Gospel, we can probably assume that he began his race with great spiritual fervor, diligence, and determination. However, near the end of Paul's life, Demas decided to pursue worldly success rather than serve the living Christ. He chose the world's passing pleasures over the glory of God, the seen for the unseen. Paul was anxious to exhort Timothy to avoid falling into the same trap. 

Throughout his life, Paul saw many abandon the call of Christ for lesser things. Many times, he stood alone in his devotion to God's work. Yet throughout imprisonments, beatings, and outright desertion—things we may never experience for our faith in Christ—Paul was able to say, "But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed" (2 Timothy 4:17). Although Paul stood alone, God provided for him in his moments of deepest need. Paul—an imperfect person like us—was able to finish well because he relied on God's moment-by-moment faithfulness.

The apostle Paul's final encouragement to Timothy can be summarized in this: Be strong, Timothy. Don't ever give up. Even if you stand alone, keep fighting for the Truth. Don't stop running the race. Keep fixing your eyes on Christ.

Knowing his time was drawing near, Paul was able to say with confidence, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7). As we trust in Christ and run the race until the end, let our response be the same.

Prayer: Lord, I want to serve You faithfully until the end. Help me to stand strong even if I stand alone. Help me rely on Your power when I am tempted to slow down. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"திடன்கொள்ளுங்கள்"

"உலகத்தில் உங்களுக்கு உபத்திரவம் உண்டு. ஆனாலும் திடன்கொள்ளுங்கள், நான் உலகத்தை ஜெயித்தேன் என்றார்" (யோவான் 16:33).

‘யோபு சாம்பலில் உட்கார்ந்து வேதனைப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார். அந்தச் சிக்கலான பிரச்சினையை, உலகத்தாருக்காகத் தீர்த்துவைக்க ஒரு மனிதன் எவ்வளவு செய்யக்கூடுமோ, அவ்வளவையும், அந்தச் சிக்கலான பிரச்சினைக் கூடாகத்தான் செய்துகொண்டிருந்தார் என்பதை அறிந்திருந்தால் அவர் தைரியமாயிருந்திருப்பார். எந்தவொரு மனிதனும் தனக்காகவே ஜீவிப்பதில்லை. யோபுவின் வாழ்க்கையைப்போலவே நமது வாழ்க்கை வசனமும் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. யோபு கஷ்டப்பட்டு, தன் வியாதியால் வருந்தின நாட்களே, அவருடைய வாழ்க்கையை நினைவுகூரத்தக்கதாக இருக்கின்றன. இல்லாதிருந்தால் யோபு என்று ஒருவர் வாழ்ந்ததே நமக்குத் தெரியாமல் போயிருக்கும்’ என்றார் சார்ல்ஸ் கௌமென் அம்மையார்.

“கிறிஸ்துவை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டும் பிரச்சினைகள் தீரவில்லை. இன்னும் அதிகரித்திருக்கின்றதே” என்று அங்கலாய்க்கிறவர்களில் நீங்களும் ஒருவரா? இந்த நாட்களில் சற்று அமர்ந்திருந்து மனதின் எண்ணங்களைச் சரிப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளுங்கள். இயேசு தமது கடைசி நாட்களிலே சீஷரிடம், தான் போகவேண்டும் என்றும் (யோவா.14:27-29), தேவபிள்ளைகளுக்கு பிரச்சினைகள் வரும் (யோவா.16:1-4) என்றும், ஆனாலும் எப்போதும் நம்மோடுகூட இருக்கின்ற தேவாவியானவரை அருளுவேன் (யோவா.16:16-18) என்றும் சொல்லி அவர்களை தைரியப்படுத்தினார். ஆம், தேவபிள்ளைகளுக்கு இவ்வுலகிலே கஷ்டங்கள் உபத்திரவங்கள் வரத்தான் செய்யும். அது தவிர்க்கமுடியாதது. தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியும்போது பொல்லாங்கன் சும்மா இருப்பானா? அதற்காக, ஆண்டவர் உபத்திரவங்கள் அணுகாமல் நம்மை மறைக்கமாட்டார்; அதை அனுமதிப்பார். ஆனாலும், நாம் தனித்து விடப்படுவதில்லை என்பதே சத்தியம். நமது கஷ்ட துன்பங்களில் நமக்கொருவர் நம்மோடு இருக்கிறவராகவே இருப்பார். மாத்திரமல்ல, அதுவே தேவபிள்ளைகளின் உண்மையான அனுபவமாகவும் இருக்கிறது. ஆகவே அன்று யோபு அதைரியப்பட்டதுபோல இன்று நாம் அதைரியப்படத் தேவையில்லை. நமக்கு ஜெயம் உண்டு என்ற உறுதியோடு நாம் தைரியமாக இருக்கலாம். ஏனெனில் ஆண்டவர் அந்த ஜெயத்தை சிலுவையில் பெற்றுக் கொடுத்துவிட்டார். நாம் தோற்றுப்போகவேண்டிய அவசியமே இல்லை.

பிரியமானவர்களே, எல்லா நிலையிலும் சிலுவையை நோக்கிப்பார்க்க நாம் பழகவேண்டும். ஒரு மனுஷனாய் நாம் அனுபவிக்கும் உபத்திரவங்களை பார்க்கிலும் ஒரு கிறிஸ்தவனாய் நமக்குள்ள பாடுகள் அதிகம். அந்தப் பாடுகளே நமக்கு மகிமையைக் கொண்டுவரும். ஆகவே திடன்கொண்டு முன்செல்லுவோமாக.

ஜெபம்: அன்பின் கர்த்தாவே, நீர் உலகத்தை ஜெயித்ததுபோல நானும் உம் வழிநின்று உபத்திரவங்கள் மத்தியிலும் ஜெயம் பெற நீரே என்னை நடத்தும் ஐயா. ஆமென்.

"Joy Amid Sorrow" Day-8

"Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: . . . sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything" (2 Corinthians 6:4, 10).

For the child of God, joy does not mean the absence of sadness, trials, or disappointment. In fact, many times it is just the opposite. Joy dwells right there next to sorrow. This was true of the apostle Paul's life. He faced beatings, stoning, and imprisonment, yet he had a tremendous sense of joy. 

During moments of great difficulty, we can experience the joy of the Lord in a far greater way than at any other time. For some, this may be hard to believe. Many times, when difficulty comes, we immediately look for a way out. A sudden trial leaves us feeling hopeless and wondering if we have done something wrong. But we must remember that adversity is a part of the Christian life.

When he wrote about joy, Paul was in prison. He knew how it felt to be discouraged and abandoned, but he also experienced a tremendous joy—one the Lord had given him. It is the same joy we can experience today.

Paul wrote, "I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want" (Philippians 4:12).

Contentment for Paul was reflective of the deep sense of joy he felt within his heart. He had a promise from God—and we do, too. One day, like Paul, we will see our Savior face to face. Therefore, no matter what this world tosses at us, we can experience a true sense of joy right now.

Do you feel as though you have lost your joy? Are you longing to experience it again? The joy of the Lord is one of God's greatest gifts. Take a moment to be silent before Him. Worship Him and praise Him for His faithfulness to you. When we dwell on the precious gift of the Gospel, we can't help but be lifted up in joy. The more fully we experience and grasp the grace of God, the greater will be our joy.

Prayer: Father, restore my joy to overflowing, that it may bubble up and infuse my life. May this overflowing joy testify to others of Your love. As I sit before You now in silence, speak to me. I am listening. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"அழிக்காமல் ஆக்கினான்!"

"அழிக்காமல் ஆக்கினான்!"

"முன்னே நம்மைத் துன்பப்படுத்தினவனே, தான் அழிக்கத் தேடின விசுவாசத்தை இப்பொழுது பிரசங்கிக்கிறான்" (கலா.1:23).

இன்றைக்கு, தேவையற்ற பொருட்கள் என்று நாம் வீசி எறிபவற்றிலிருந்து அழகான கைவேலைகளைச் செய்து கடைகளிலே அதிகூடிய விலைக்கு விற்பனை செய்வதைக் காணலாம். அதேவேளை நமக்கு அதிமுக்கியமான இரட்சிப்பு, ஒழுக்கம், உண்மைத்துவம் எல்லாமே தேவையற்றதாகி மதிப்பற்று வீசியெறியப்படுவதையும் காண்கிறோம். பவுலும் தனது வாழ்விலே, கிறிஸ்துவை அவரது மீட்பை அறியாதவராக, யூத மார்க்கத்தில் ஊறிப்போய், கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றுபவர்களை அழித்து, துன்புறுத்தி. எதுவெல்லாம் தனக்குச் சரியெனப்பட்டதோ அதையெல்லாம் செய்து வெற்றிவாகை சூடினவராக பெருமையோடு வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தார். அதே சிந்தையோடு தமஸ்குவுக்கு போகும்வேளையில், ஆண்டவர் இயேசு அவர் வாழ்வில் இடைப்பட்டு, “நீயோ என்னைத் துன்பப்படுத்துகிறாய். நீ துன்பப்படுத்தும் இயேசு நானே” என்று சொன்னபோது, பவுல் முதற்தடவையாக தனது வாழ்வில் தடுமாறிப்போனான்.

“புறஜாதியருக்குச் சுவிசேஷத்தை அறிவிக்கும்படி ஆண்டவர் என்னைத் தெரிந்து கொண்டார். நான் யாரிடத்திலும் கற்றறியவில்லை, எல்லாவற்றையும் ஆண்டவரே எனக்குத் தெளிவுற விளங்கச்செய்தார். அதையே நான் சுவிசேஷமாய் அறிவிக்கிறேன்” என்று பவுல் உறுதியோடு சொன்னார். பவுல் தனது அறியாமையினாலே அழித்து வந்ததை இப்போது ஆக்குவதற்குத் தீவிரிப்பதைக் காண்கிறோம். முன்னே தான் அழிக்க தேடின விசுவாசத்தை இப்போது புறஜாதியார் முதற்கொண்டு எல்லோருக்கும் பிரசங்கிக்கத் தொடங்கினதைக் காண்கிறோம். ஆண்டவரின் தொடுகையானது ஒரு மனிதனை முற்றிலுமாக மாற்ற வல்லமையுள்ளது என்பதை நாம் பலருடைய வாழ்வின் உதாரணங்களிலிருந்து கண்டுகொள்ளலாம்.

அருமையானவர்களே, இன்றும்கூட பவுலைப்போல சில பழைய கலாச் சாரங்களில் ஊறினவர்களாக, சபைக்குள்ளே இருந்து, வருடாவருடம் அதே நிகழ்வுகளை எவ்வளவு செலவானாலும், அதிலே எந்தப் பிரயோஜனம் இல்லாவிட்டாலும், அவற்றைச் செய்தேயாகவேண்டும் என்று வாதிடுவோர் அநேகர் உண்டு. இவர்கள் தங்களைச் சபையின் தூணாகவும் நினைத்துக்கொள்வார்கள். ஒருமுறை ஒரு ஊழியர், “நீங்கள் உங்கள் சபைகளில் தூணாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று என்றைக்கும் வாஞ்சிக்காதீர்கள். ஏனெனில் தூண்கள் வளர மாட்டாது. எனவே நீங்கள் சபைக்குள்ளே கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் அன்றாடம் வளரு கிறவர்களாக இருக்கப் பிரயாசப்படுங்கள்” என்றார். இது எத்தனை உண்மை!

நான் அப்போஸ்தலர் எல்லாரிலும் சிறியவனாயிருக்கிறேன், தேவனுடைய சபையை துன்பப்படுத்தினதினாலே அப்போஸ்தலனென்று பேர்பெறுவதற்கு பாத்திரனல்ல (1கொரி. 15:9)

ஜெபம்: அன்பின் தேவனே, தேவபணியை முடக்குவதற்கு அல்ல; ஆக்குவதற்காகவே நான் தெரிந்து கொள்ளப்பட்டேன் என்பதை இன்று எனக்கு உணர்த்தினீர். ஆமென்.

"Look Up to God" Day-7

"After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia's house, where they met with the brothers and sisters and encouraged them" (Acts 16:40).

In Acts 16, Paul had "one of those days." On the way to the house of prayer, a young slave woman began following him and Silas. Her shouts were meant to draw unwanted attention to the apostle. In reality, the enemy was seeking to run Paul and his evangelistic team out of town. But Paul commanded the harassing spirit to leave this young woman (see Acts 16:18).  

Her owners, who made money through her fortune-telling, were not happy. Frustrations grew until the entire city of Philippi erupted.

      "The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods. After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison," . . . (Acts 16:22-23)

If anyone had a reason to be depressed, it was Paul and Silas. Yet, they did not allow their circumstances to cause them to question the providence of God. Instead, they turned a bad situation into one of praise to the Lord (see Acts 16:25).

God had a plan for their imprisonment. At midnight the door to their jail cell opened, and they were free men—but they did not leave because they knew it would mean death for the jailer who had been given the charge to watch over them. He was amazed by their commitment to God and accepted Christ as his Savior, but the story did not end there. The jailer's entire family was saved, and the next morning Paul and Silas were freed.

The next time you are tempted to be downcast, look up to God. Ask Him to use you as an instrument of Truth, hope, and encouragement to others. Pass His love on, and you will be set free from every thought of depression.

Prayer: Though my world seems unstable and ever-changing, I will praise You, Lord. Open my eyes to opportunities where You are calling me to be bold. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

உன்னிடத்தில் ஒரு குறையுண்டு.

"உன்னிடத்தில் ஒரு குறையுண்டு."

“அவர்கள் கர்த்தர் சொன்னபடியெல்லாம் செய்து, கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடப்போம் என்றார்கள்” (யாத். 24:7).

அவன் ஒரு வாலிபன். நித்திய ஜீவனை சுதந்தரிக்க விரும்பியவன். சிறு வயதிலிருந்து சகல கற்பனைகளையும் கைக்கொண்டு வந்தவன். அதேநேரம் ஐசுவரியவானாகவும் இருந்தான். அதில் தவறில்லை. ஆனால், “உனது ஐசுவரியத்தை விற்று தரித்திரருக்குக் கொடுத்துவிட்டு, உன் சிலுவைதனை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு என்னைப் பின்பற்றி வா” என்று இயேசு அவனிடம் சொன்னதிலிருந்தும், அவன் துக்கத்தோடே திரும்பிப்போய் விட்டதிலிருந்தும், அவன் வாழ்விலே ஐசுவரியம் முதலிடத்தில் இருந்தது தெரிகிறது.

அந்த வாலிபனைப் போலவேதான் நாமும். ஆண்டவரில் பிரியம்; நித்திய ராஜ்யமும் கட்டாயம். தேவனுக்கென்று பலகாரியங்களும் செய்வோம். சிலவற்றைத் தேவனுக்காக விட்டுக்கொடுக்கவும் செய்கிறோம். தேவனுடைய வார்த்தைகள் பலவற்றுக்கு கீழ்ப்படிந்தும் இருப்போம். ஆனால் தேவன் நம்மோடு பேசி உணர்த்துகின்ற ஒரு காரியத்தை மட்டும் செய்ய முடியாது பின்வாங்குவோம். ஏனென்றால், அது நமக்கு மிகவும் பிரியம். எல்லாவற்றையும் விட்டாலும், அதனைத் தக்கவைக்க முயலுவோம். ஆண்டவர் அரைகுறை கீழ்ப்படிவை விரும்புகிறவர் அல்ல. “இன்று உன்னிடத்தில் ஒரு குறையுண்டு” என்று தேவன் இன்று நம்மிடம் கூறுகிறார். அது எது என்று நமக்குத்தான் தெரியும். அதனைச் சரிசெய்ய நாம் ஆயத்தமா? நாம் தேவனுக்காகப் பல சேவைகள் செய்யலாம். ஆனால் அதைவிட முக்கியமானது நம்மை முற்றிலும் அவருக்குக் கொடுப்பது. அதற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிய நாம் ஆயத்தமாய் இருக்கிறோமா?

இயேசு இந்த உலகில் வாழ்ந்திருந்தபோது, சிலுவையின் மரணபரியந்தமும் அவர்பிதாவின் சித்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருந்தார். அவருக்கும் கஷ்டமான சோதனைகள் வந்தன; அவரோ கீழ்ப்படிய மறுக்கவில்லை. கெத்சமனே தோட்டத்தில் நொறுக்கப்பட்டவராய் மனமுடைந்து ஜெபித்ததை பார்க்கிறோம். “இந்தப் பாத்திரம் என்னைவிட்டு நீங்கக்கூடுமானால் நீங்கட்டும், ஆயினும் என்னுடைய சித்தப்படியல்ல, உம்முடைய சித்தப்படியே ஆகக்கடவது” என்று ஜெபித்தார். இவ்விதமானதொரு கீழ்ப்படிதலை ஆண்டவர் தமது வாழ்க்கை மூலமாகக் கற்றுக் கொடுத்திருக்க, நாம் சிறிய காரியங்களிலே அவருக்கு கீழ்ப்படிய மறுக்கலாமா? நமது வாழ்வில் தேவன் நம்மோடு பேசிய, உணர்த்திய எந்தக் காரியத்திற்கு, நாம் இன்னமும் கீழ்ப்படியாமல் இருக்கிறோம்? எதை நாம் தள்ளிவிடாதிருக்கிறோம்? நம்மிடத்தில் இருக்கின்ற அந்த ஒரு குறை என்ன? என்ன குறை இருந்தாலும், குறையுடனேயே ஆண்டவரிடம் திரும்புவோம். அவர் அவற்றைச் சரிசெய்து நம்மை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வார்.

“என்னிடத்தில் வருகிறவனை நான் புறம்பே தள்ளுவதில்லை” (யோ.6:37).

ஜெபம்: அன்பின் தேவனே, முதலில் என்னிடத்திலுள்ள குறையை நான் அடையாளம் கண்டு அதை அறிக்கையிட்டு உம்மிடம் திரும்பவும் எனக்குக் கிருபை தாரும். ஆமென்.

🍒 "Keeping Our Integrity Intact" Day-6 🍒

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

The longer we walk down the road with Christ, the more we understand what it means to put our trust in Him. Despite our best intentions, it does not take long to realize we simply cannot determine in our hearts to live righteous lives. Our best striving and efforts fall short of God's glory.  

Fortunately, there is hope. In the magnificence of creation, we see one detail that cannot escape us: God created us for relationship. Verse after verse, chapter after chapter, we read about the relationships of people bent on following God. We see their triumphs as well as their failures, and we learn some valuable lessons.

One such valuable lesson is that we need people who will hold us accountable. No matter how determined we are to make the right decision in every case, we are bound to falter at some point. And when we know that we do not have to answer to anyone in person, it becomes more comfortable to ease into what is convenient for us, even if it means we are compromising our integrity.

If we truly desire to live with integrity, honoring God in everything we say and do, we must find trusted friends who are willing to walk alongside us and hold us accountable for our actions. These people will be instrumental in our growth as believers. They will help us move to new depths in our faith with Jesus Christ, and they will love us regardless of the flaws in our lives.

Prayer: Lord, show me people in my life who can help me be accountable for my actions as I seek to honor You with all that I am. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

கர்த்தர் ஒருவரே அவனை வழிநடத்தினார்

🍒 "தேவனுடனான உறவு" 🍒

"கர்த்தர் ஒருவரே அவனை வழிநடத்தினார்" (உபா. 32:12).

தமது சாயலிலே மனிதனைச் சிருஷ்டித்த தேவன், அவனுடன் உறவாட விரும்பி, அவனைத் தேடி வந்தார். ஏதேனிலே, பகலின் குளிர்ச்சியான வேளையிலே ஆதாம் ஏவாளுடன் தேவன் உலாவினார் (ஆதி.3:8). ஆயினும், தன் இஷ்டப்படி சென்ற மனிதன் பாவத்தில் விழுந்தபோது, தேவனுடனான அன்பின் உறவில் அவனுக்கு விரிசல் ஏற்பட்டது. எனினும், தேவன் மனிதனைக் கைவிடவில்லை. தொடர்ந்தும் தேடினார். இவ்விதமாக தொலைந்துபோன மனிதனைத் தேடிய இந்த உறவானது, ஒரு மேய்ப்பனுக்கும் அவனுடைய மந்தைக்குமான உறவுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறதை நாம் காணலாம். இந்த மேலான உறவையே ’23ம் சங்கீதம்’ மிக அழகாகச் சித்தரித்துக் காட்டுகிறது.

இன்றைய வாசிப்புப் பகுதியிலே, தேவன் தமது பிள்ளைகளில் கொண்டுள்ள கரிசனை, ஒரு கழுகு தன் குஞ்சுகளில் வைத்திருக்கும் கரிசனைக்கு ஒப்பிடப்பட்டிருப்பதைக் காணலாம். “கழுகு தன் கூட்டைக் குழப்பி, தன் குஞ்சுகளுக்கு மேலாக வட்டமிட்டு, தன் செட்டைகளை விரித்து, அவைகளைத் தன் சிறகுகளில் ஏந்திக்கொண்டு சுமந்து செல்லுவதுபோல், அவர் அவர்களைப் பராமரித்தார்” என ஒரு தமிழ் மொழிபெயர்ப்பு இப்பகுதியை விவரிக்கிறது. நமது வாழ்விலே தேவன் எவ்வளவு அக்கறையாக இருக்கின்றார் என்பதை இவ்வசனம் தெளிவாக விளக்குகிறது.

இவை யாவும் மேலாக, தேவனுக்கும் மனிதனுக்குமான உறவு பாவத்தினால் விரிசலடைந்தபோதும், அந்த விரிசலை நீக்கி, பாவத்தின் கோரத்தைப் போக்கி மனுக்குலத்தை மீட்பதற்காக கிறிஸ்துதாமே மனுஷனாக இப்புவி வந்தாரே! அவர் பாடுபட்டு, மரித்து, உயிர்த்தெழுந்து பிரிவினை என்ற நடுச்சுவரைத் தகர்த்தெறிந்து பிதாவோடு நம்மை ஒப்புரவாக்கினார். இன்றும், பாவத்தில் உழலும் நம் ஒவ்வொரு வரையும் உணர்த்தி, நல்வழிப்படுத்த விரும்புகிறார். தேவன் அருளிய, மன்னிப்பைப் பெற்றிருக்கின்ற நாம், தேவனோடுள்ள உறவை சரியாகப் பேணாமல், வழிதவறிச் செல்லும் ஆடுகளைப்போல இன்னமும் ஜீவிப்பதுதான் பரிதாபத்திற்குரிய விஷயமல்லவா!

👉 அன்பானவர்களே, தேவன் நம்மை இடைவிடாமல் கவனித்துப் பாதுகாத்து வருகின்றார். ஆனால் நாம் அவருக்குள் அடங்கி வாழுகிறோமா? அவருடனான உறவில் வளருகிறோமா? அல்லது, நமது இஷ்டப்படி வாழ எல்லைகளைத் தாண்டுகிற ஆட்டைப்போல இருக்கிறோமா?

சிதறுண்ட ஆடுகளைப் போலிருந்தீர்கள். இப்பொழுதோ, உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களுக்கு மேய்ப்பரும் கண்காணியுமானவரிடத்தில் திருப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள் (1பேதுரு 2:25).

ஜெபம்: எங்களைத் தேடிவந்து சேர்த்துக்கொண்ட நல்ல மேய்ப்பரே, எங்களது இஷ்டப்படி இனி நாங்கள் வாழாமல் உம்முடைய சத்தத்திற்கே அனுதினமும் கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடப்பதற்கு உமதருள் தாரும். ஆமென்.

"Kings take pleasure in honest lips; they value the one who speaks what is right" (Proverbs 16:13).

👉 Finding people with integrity in this day and age is a daunting task. While many people may desire to live with integrity, they fall short when they are put to the test. They may reason away certain actions, justifying them with a twisted worldview. But what is our integrity worth? Is our integrity worth an hour's pay if we lie on our timecard? Is our integrity worth the office supplies we slip into our pockets on the way home? Is our integrity worth the damage of spreading a bit of juicy gossip?

👉 Possessing godly integrity is rare in today's world because people are determined to live for themselves. They compromise their integrity because they are looking out for themselves instead of living for someone other than themselves. This outlook on life infiltrates behavior, which results in dishonest action.  

👉 As we look at the life of Paul, one thing is crystal clear: He lived for no one but God. Everything Paul did was for the glory of God. Paul was scorned by men. In fact, there was a period shortly after his conversion during which he was eyed cynically by everyone. The Christians did not trust him, and the Pharisees wanted to put him in prison. Yet over time, Paul proved he was not after fame and certainly not fortune.

👉 Paul's aim in life was to live for the glory of God. When that becomes our primary purpose in life, integrity will be a natural by-product. If we are living for and thinking about God first and foremost before we act, then what follows will be activity that intentionally honors Him. Integrity will not be contrived but overflowing.

Prayer: Lord, give me the right perspective on my life because living for You is far better than living for myself. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"பாவமும் பயமும்"

‘மகனே, திடன்கொள், உன் பாவங்கள் உனக்கு மன்னிக்கப்பட்டது. …நீ எழுந்து, உன் படுக்கையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, உன் வீட்டுக்குப் போ என்றார்.” (மத். 9:2,6).

ஒரு மருத்துவர் எந்த நோயாளி வந்தாலும் ஒரு கலவை மருந்தைத்தான் எல்லோருக்கும் கொடுப்பாராம். “ஏன் அப்படிச் செய்கிறீர்கள்?” என்று கேட்டதற்கு, “இங்கே வருகிறவர்கள் பொதுவாக வயிற்றுவலி, தலைவலி, காய்ச்சல் என்றுதான் வருகிறார்கள். எனவே அதற்கான எல்லா மருந்துகளையும் ஒன்றாகக் கலந்து வைத்திருக்கிறேன். ஆக, யார் வந்தாலும் அவருக்கு இது ஏற்றதாயிருக்கும்” என்றாராம்.

நாமும் இப்படித்தான். வியாதிப்பட்டவருக்கென்று ஜெபிக்க சில ஜெபங்கள் நம்மிடம் உண்டு. வியாதி வந்தாலே சுகம் வேண்டும் என்று தான் கேட்போம். ஆனால் சிலருக்கு வியாதிக்கும் அப்பாலும் தேவைகள் இருக்கும் என்பதைச் சிந்திப்பது அரிது.

படுக்கையிலிருக்கின்ற திமிர்வாதக்காரனுக்கு என்ன வேண்டும்? சுகம்தானே! ஆனால் இயேசுவோ, “மகனே, திடன்கொள், உன் பாவங்கள் உனக்கு மன்னிக்கப்பட்டது” என்கிறார். அங்கே நின்ற வேதபாரகருக்கு இது விசித்திரமாகத் தெரிந்ததுமன்றி, பாவத்தைக் குறித்துப் பேச இவன் யார் என்ற எண்ணம் அவர்களைத் துளைத்தது. ஆனால் இயேசுவோ, அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு விளக்கம் கொடுக்கிறார். அதன் பின்னர் மீண்டும் அந்த மனிதனைப் பார்த்து, “நீ எழுந்து, உன் படுக்கையை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு, உன் வீட்டிற்குப் போ” என்றார். அந்த நோயாளிக்கு சுகத்திற்கு முன்னர், அவனுடைய உள் வாழ்விலே அவனுக்கு இருந்த பிரதான தேவை இன்னதென்பதை இயேசு அறிந்திருந்தார். முதலில் அவனைத் தைரியப்படுத்தியவர், அவனது பாவங்களிலிருந்து விடுதலை கொடுத்து, பின்னர் சரீர சுகத்தைக் கொடுத்தார். உடனே அவன் எழுந்து வீட்டுக்குப் போனான்.

நம்மைக் காண்கிறவர்கள் நமது தேவைகளை மேலோட்டமாக அறிந்திருந்தாலும், நமது ஆண்டவர் நம்முடைய உண்மையான தேவையை அறிந்து நம்மோடு இடைப்படுகிறவர். எனவே, நமது பாவம் உணர்த்தப்படும்போது, அதை அறிக்கையிட்டு மன்னிப்புப் பெற்று அவரோடு ஒப்புரவாகும்போது, சகல பயமும் நீங்குகிறது. அவர் நம்மை மன்னிப்பது மாத்திரமல்ல, நம்மைப் பயத்தினின்றும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பினின்றும் விடுவிப்பார். வியாதியில் சுகம் என்பது வெளித்தெரிகின்ற தேவை. நமது உண்மையான தேவையைக் கர்த்தரிடம் மறைக்காது அறிக்கை செய்வோம். அவர் யாவும் அறிவார்.

“அப்பொழுது விசுவாசமுள்ள ஜெபம் பிணியாளியை இரட்சிக்கும். கர்த்தர் அவனை எழுப்புவார்; அவன் பாவஞ்செய்தவனானால் அது அவனுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும்”(யாக்.5:15).

ஜெபம்: என் வாழ்வின் உண்மையான தேவையை அறிந்திருக்கின்ற ஆண்டவரே, என் பாவங்களை அறிக்கையிடுகிறேன். என்னை மன்னித்து என் நோய்களை குணமாக்கும். ஆமென்.

"Praise from the Prison of Affliction" Day-4

"Be exalted in your strength, LORD; we will sing and praise your might" (Psalm 21:13).

Regardless of how many times we have experienced the fulfillment of God's promises, we seem to have short memories. 

Life suddenly veers down an unexpected path, and we begin wondering if we are going to make it. We try to find a way out of our misery and realize the situation is impossible apart from God. Instead of praising the Lord and trusting Him for a way of escape, we resort to worrying and grumbling.

If there was one man who had a right to grumble and complain in the New Testament, it was Paul. After his conversion, his life seemed to be composed of one life-threatening conflict after another. He was imprisoned, shipwrecked, tortured, and threatened. Paul's suffering was so great that many of his letters were written from prison.

Yet, when we find Paul in his darkest hour, he was not griping about his circumstances—he was praising God. For Paul, praising God had become a habit, a way of life. Paul wrote to the church in Ephesus:

    [B]e filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 5:18-20)

As believers determined to honor Christ with every portion of our lives, our lips should come into harmony with our actions as we praise God at every opportunity. This is how we live with a heavenly perspective—one that is set on the one who can transform our darkest situation into one of hope and light.

Prayer: Lord, remind me of Your goodness and greatness today when I get discouraged, and teach me how to praise You at all times. Let me not forget Your faithfulness. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

கர்த்தர் என் பெலனும் என் கீதமுமானவர்

🍒 "என் பெலன்!" 🍒

“கர்த்தர் என் பெலனும் என் கீதமுமானவர்” (யாத்திராகமம் 15:2).

ஜெபம், வேதவசனம், சாட்சியின் பாடல் இவை மூன்றும் விசுவாசியின் வாழ்விலே அன்றாடம் காணப்படவேண்டும். தேவன் ஒருவரே உயர்த்தப்படத் தக்கவர் என்று உணர்ந்துகொள்ளும் ஒவ்வொரு விசுவாசியின் ஆத்துமாவும், அவனது நாவும் துதிகீதங்களைப் பாடி மகிழும் என்பதில் சந்தேகமேயில்லை. மீட்கப்பட்ட இஸ்ரவேலர், கர்த்தர்தாமே தமது பெலனாயிருந்து கிரியை செய்தார் என்பதை உணர்ந்து துதித்துப் பாடினார்கள். கர்த்தரைத் துதிக்கும் துதியிலேயே நமது பெலன் தங்கியுள்ளது. நம் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு அது தேவ பெலனாக இருக்கிறது. மனுஷ பெலன் பிரயோஜனமற்றது. அந்த சுயபெலத் தினால் ஒருவனும் எதையும் மேற்கொள்வதில்லை (1சாமு.2:9). தேவன் ஒருவரே நமக்குப் பெலனாயிருந்து சகலத்திலும் வெற்றி சிறக்கப்பண்ணுகிறவராய் இருக்கிறார். ‘எந்த ராஜாவும் தன் சேனையின் மிகுதியால் இரட்சிக்கப்படான்; சவுரியவானும் தன் பலத்தின் மிகுதியால் தப்பான்’ (சங்.33:16).

சிறு பையனான தாவீது, இஸ்ரவேலின் சேனைகளுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் நாமத்திலே பெலனடைந்து கோலியாத்தை வீழ்த்தினான். கர்த்தருடைய ஆவியானவரிலே பெலன்கொண்டு கிதியோன் இஸ்ரவேலரை இரட்சித்து வழிநடத்தினான். இப்படியாக, கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகின்ற எத்தனையோ தேவதாசர்களைப் பெலப்படுத்தி, பயன்படுத்தியுள்ளார். ஆனால் பவுலின் அறிக்கையோ சற்று வித்தியாசமானது. நான் பலவீனனாயிருக்கும் போதே பலமுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறேன். ஏனெனில் “உன் பலவீனத்திலே என் பலம் பூரணமாய் விளங்கும்” என்று கர்த்தர் சொன்னார் என்கிறார் பவுல்.

பலவித சூழ்நிலைகளால் சோர்ந்துபோயிருக்கும் தேவபிள்ளையே, பலன் கொண்டு திடமனதாயிரு. கிதியோனுக்கும் தாவீதுக்கும் மாத்திரமல்ல, நாற்பது நாட்கள் இரவும் பகலும் நடந்துசென்ற எலியாவிற்கும்கூடக் கிடைக்காத மிகப்பெரிய பெலன் நமக்குண்டு. அதுதான் சிலுவையினடியில் நாம் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும் தெய்வீக பெலன். அழைக்கப்பட்ட யாவருக்கும் கிறிஸ்துதாமே தேவ பெலனும் தேவஞானமுமாயிருக்கிறார். “உம்மிலே பெலன்கொள்ளுகிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்”(சங்.84:5) என்பது என்றென்றைக்கும் உன் வாயின் அறிக்கையாக இருக்கட்டும்.

சரீரத்தில் சோர்வடைந்திருக்கும் தேவபிள்ளையே, கர்த்தரைத் துதிக்கும் துதியினால் நீ புதிய பெலனை இன்று அடைகிறாய் என்ற நல்ல செய்தி உனக்குத்தான். ஆத்துமாவில் சோர்வடைந்திருக்கிறாயா? நமது பெலன் கிறிஸ்துவினிடத்தில் இருக்கின்றது. இப்போதே அந்தச் சிலுவையண்டைக்கு வந்து விடு. கர்த்தர் உன்னைத் தம் பெலத்தால் இடைக்கட்டுவார்.

ஜெபம்: “என் பெலனானவரே, எந்தச் சூழ்நிலையிலும் நான் சோர்வடைந்து விடாதபடி உம்மிலே நான் என்றென்றும் களிகூருவேன். ஆமென்.”

"Forgive and Forget" Day-3

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Some people understand God's redemptive plan for their lives, and yet they fail to see how He can use them for His Kingdom work. They feel as though their lives have been stained too deeply by sin, disqualifying them from service. This is not true.

God's plan for our lives is one of hope. He never looks back and reminds us of our past transgressions. He never says, "If only you had not done this or that, then I could use you." These are words the enemy uses to discourage us and keep us from being all that we can be for the Lord.

God's purpose in saving us was not just to save us from eternal death and torment. His purpose was to save us so that we could learn to love Him the way that He loves us. Once He forgives our sins, He forgets them. What a glorious reminder of God's unconditional love.

However, just like Paul, we were not saved merely to enjoy God's love. We were saved with a purpose in mind: to tell others about His saving grace. This is what Paul did. Once Christ saved him, once Christ returned his earthly sight, and once Christ prepared him, Paul began to do some serious Kingdom work. And you can, too.

Maybe you have struggled with an emotional problem and have received God's deliverance. Won't you be available for God to use you in someone else's life? You may think, "No one could possibly struggle with the sin that I have fought." Many have—and many need to know there is a way through the darkness through Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Lord, it is hard to understand how You could possibly use me for Your glory, but I know this is exactly what You want to do. I give my life to You and ask that You would use me so that others will experience Your wondrous grace. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"He Will Set You Free" Day-2

"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6).

More than likely, when Paul was a young man, he had a dream to know God fully. His quest for knowledge led him to study under one of the greatest rabbis of his day.

 

As he grew in knowledge, he became a Pharisee and then was elected to the Sanhedrin. Only the most noted of Jewish scholars held these positions. Paul was one of them. His heart, though charged with the wrong motivation, longed to worship God. Then one day, God revealed Himself to Paul through the life of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is only one way to interpret what happened to Paul on the road to Damascus, and that is to say it was life-changing (see Acts 9:1-9). Christ did not just appear to Paul; He embraced him. Only the Lord knows what rested deep in Paul's heart, but like Moses, once Paul turned aside to study the things of God, it was enough to move God into action.

Maybe you are feeling the weight of your circumstances closing in on you. You have longed to be free, but you have remained shackled to this world in ways that only God knows and understands. If you seek Him, He will set you free from the sin of worry, doubt, fear, hopelessness, lustful feelings, and more. When you pray with a sincere heart, the Lord will reveal Himself to you. Then your witness and testimony will become a way to glorify God and lead others into His throne room of mercy and grace.

Prayer: Lord, I confess that I need Your purifying touch on my life. There are things I have done and said that do not honor You. Forgive me as I mention each one to You and receive Your forgiveness and eternal love. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

தடையில்லாத பயணம்!

🍒 "தடையில்லாத பயணம்!" 🍒

“…நீர் மீட்ட ஜனங்களே கடந்துபோகும்வரையும், அவர்கள் உம்முடைய புயத்தின் மகத்துவத்தினால் கல்லைப்போல அசைவற்றிருப்பார்கள்” (யாத்.15:16).

பலத்த கரத்தினால் தாம் மீட்டெடுத்த ஜனங்களை தேவன் கிருபையாய் அழைத்து வந்தார். அழைத்து என்று கூறும்போது, ஒரு குழந்தையைக் கரம் பிடித்து நடத்துதல் அல்லது குருடனொருவனின் தடியைப் பிடித்து மெதுவாக அவனை வழிநடத்துதல்; மேலும் ஒரு மணவாளன் தன் மணவாட்டியை, ஒரு மேய்ப்பன் தன் ஆடுகளை நடத்துதல் போன்ற அனுபவங்களை நமக்கு உணர்த்தி நிற்கிறது. இப்படியாக நடத்துவேன் என்று வாக்குப்பண்ணிய கர்த்தர், இஸ்ரவேலரை அழைத்து, கானான் வரைக்கும் கொண்டுவந்து விட்டார்.

தேவபிள்ளைகளே! உங்களைக் கிரயம் கொடுத்து மீட்டெடுத்த கர்த்தர், பெயர்சொல்லி அழைத்தவர், தமது பரிசுத்த வாசஸ்தலம் வரைக்கும் வழிநடத்துவது எவ்வளவு நிச்சயமானது. கர்த்தர் உங்களை நடத்தும்போது இரகசியமாக, புறஜாதிகளின் கண்களுக்கு மறைவாக நடத்தமாட்டார். உங்களை வேறுபடுத்தி அழைத்தவர் பிறிதொரு உலகத்தில் மறைத்து வைக்கமாட்டார். பாடுள்ள இதே உலகத்தினூடாகவே நீங்கள் நடந்து செல்லவேண்டும். ஜாதிகள் உங்களைக் காணும்படி, உங்களில் அவர் நடத்திய இரட்சிப்பின் கிரியையைத் தேசங்கள் உணர்ந்துகொள்ளும்படி, சுற்றுவழிப் பாதையினூடாகவே உங்களை நடத்துவார்.

அந்த ஜீவனுள்ள தேவன் உங்களை நடத்தும் போது அவிசுவாசிக்குத் திகில் பிடிக்கும். பராக்கிரமசாலியாய்க் காணப்பட்ட சத்துருவுக்கு நடுக்கம் பிடிக்கும். பிசாசானவன் அசைவற்றிருப்பான். நீங்களோ தலை நிமிர்ந்து நடப்பீர்கள்.

தடைகளைக் கடந்து இஸ்ரவேலர் கானான் தேசத்திற்குச் சென்றடைந்த வழிப் பிரயாணத்தை நீங்கள் அறிவீர்கள். ஆம், நித்திய வாசஸ்தலமாகிய சீயோனை நோக்கிய உங்கள் பிரயாணமும் தேவன் வழிநடத்தும்போது தடைபண்ணப் படவே முடியாது. இடறல்கள் நேரிட்டாலும் ஜெயம் உங்களுடையதே. உங்கள் தேவன் உங்களில் மகிமைப்படுவதை ஜாதிகள் காண்பார்கள். நீங்கள் கடந்து போகும்வரை அவர்கள் கல்லைப்போல் அசைவற்றிருப்பார்கள். கிறிஸ்துவின் நாளில் அவிசுவாசியும் அசைவற்றிருப்பான்.

நீங்களோ, ஆனந்த முழக்கமிட்டு கெம்பீரித்து மகிழுவீர்கள். ஏனெனில் உலகத்திலிருக்கிறவனிலும் உங்களில் இருக்கிறவர் பெரியவராய் இருக்கிறாரே. வருடங்கள் சீக்கிரத்தில் ஓடி முடிந்துவிடும். காலங்களும் கடந்து போய்விடும். ஆனால் துளையுண்ட இயேசுவின் கரம் உங்களைப் பற்றிப்பிடித்து நடத்திச்செல்லும்போது உங்கள் பயணம் ஒருபோதும் தடைபடாது. தேவனே உங்களை என்றும் வழிநடத்துவார்.

"Priorities" Day-1

_"[L]et us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God"_ (Hebrews 12:1-2).

👉 When was the last time you evaluated your priorities? Have you recently looked at your commitments, goals, and checkbook to list your assets and liabilities?

👉 When we do not discipline ourselves to stay focused on our eternal priorities, we can easily become bogged down by earthly concerns that are unimportant.

When the apostle Paul was in prison, he took the time to evaluate his own life. Before Paul became a Christian, he was a Pharisee with prestige, power, and wealth. After he began his ministry for Christ, Paul endured frequent attacks, imprisonments, and hunger as he traveled from town to town.

👉 Yet because Paul kept his focus on Christ, he found a joy that gave him a heavenly perspective on life and priorities:

      _"But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith."_ (Philippians 3:7-9)

As Paul discovered, the things we consider assets in this life often turn out to be our liabilities because they keep us from depending on God. What is the object of your confidence? Is it your intelligence, your financial security, your social network?

None of these things will bring us indescribable joy—only dependence on Christ's strength can bring us joy. We must value our relationship with Christ and treasure our gift of joy in order to experience joy at its fullest.

Prayer: God, as I evaluate my life, I realize that my priorities are not always where they should be. Help me to value my relationship with You above all else and to stay focused on You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

*இன்றைக்குப் பொதுவாக தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையைக் குறித்த வாஞ்சையும் விருப்பமும் அற்ற ஒரு கிறிஸ்தவ சமூதாயம் உருவாகி வருகிறதை நாம் பார்க்கிறோம். அநேக மக்கள் ஆண்டவருடைய வார்த்தையைப் பற்றிக் கொண்டு வாழுகிற ஒரு வாழ்க்கை முறையைக் கொண்டிருப்பதில்லை.*

*ஆனால் இந்த இடத்தில் மோசே, தேவன் கொடுக்கிற ஆசீர்வாதங்களைச் சுதந்தரித்துக் கொள்ளவும், பிழைத்திருக்கவும் தேவனுடைய கட்டளைகளையும் நியாயங்களையும் கேளுங்கள் என்று சொல்லுகிறதை நாம் பார்க்கிறோம். நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையில் அநேகப் பிரச்சனைகளுக்குக் காரணம் நாம் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையைச் சார்ந்து வாழாமல் இருப்பதின் நிமித்தமாகவே. தங்களுடைய வாழ்க்கையில் தேவ வார்த்தை நடைமுறைப் படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும் என்று அக்கறையைக் கொண்டிருப்பதில்லை. இதுவே நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையின் வீழ்ச்சிக்குக் காரணமாக இருக்கிறது.*

*தேவன் தம்முடைய வார்த்தையை நமக்கு எழுதிக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். இந்த வார்த்தையை நாம் பற்றிக்கொண்டு வாழும்பொழுது மாத்திரமே, நம்முடைய ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையில் நம்மைச் சரியாய் வழிநடத்தக்கூடிய வேத வசனத்தின் ஆளுகைக்கு உட்பட்டவர்களாய் நாம் வாழுவோம்.*

*அதே சமயத்தில் கர்த்தர் கொடுத்திருக்கின்ற ஆசீர்வாதங்களைச் சுதந்தரித்துக் கொள்ளுகிறவர்களாகவும் நாம் காணப்படுவோம்.*

*ஆகவே தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையைக் குறித்த முக்கியத்துவத்தை மோசே தேவனுடைய ஜனங்களுக்கு உணர்த்துகிறதை நாம் பார்க்கிறோம். அவைகள் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தைகள் என்ற உணர்வோடும், இதன் மூலமாய் அவர் என்னோடு பேசுகிறார் என்ற எண்ணத்தோடும் நாம் அவருடைய வார்த்தைக்குச் செவி கொடுப்போமாக.*

*கர்த்தருடைய வசனம் நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையில் நம்மை எப்பொழுதும் வழிநடத்தும்படியாக நம்முடைய மனதில் காத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட வேண்டியது அவசியம். அப்பொழுது நாம் வழிதப்பிப் போக மாட்டோம். நாம் செம்மையாய் நடக்கக் கர்த்தர் உதவி செய்வார்.*

*_"I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word"_* (Psalm 119:16).

*Yesterday we looked at two types of soil that Satan targets. Today we will look at the third.*

*The third type of soil that Satan targets is the spoiled soil. "The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful" (Matthew 13:22).*

*Here the problem isn't so much the soil, but the competing seeds that Satan has tossed into the mix. How can God's seeds grow and flourish when the choking plants of busyness, material ambition, and anxiety overwhelm the crop?*

*Jesus encourages us: "But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown" (Matthew 13:23). This fertile soil belongs to those who vigilantly protect the seeds of God's Word from hardened hearts, shallow faith, and thorns of distraction.*

*What type of soil are we? Has our heart been hardened and untilled for so long that the seeds of God's Word just bounce away? Is our soil rocky and shallow because we have never made the disciplined effort to fully develop our spiritual life? Do we allow busyness to distract us from studying God's Word?*

Prayer: *Father, forgive me for the things in my life that have hindered Your Word from fully developing in me. I pray that You would nurture Your seeds of Truth in my life. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.*

*_“அவர் சிறியவனைப் புழுதியிலிருந்து தூக்கிவிடுகிறார்; எளியவனைக் குப்பையிலிருந்து உயர்த்துகிறார்"_* (சங்கீதம் 113:7).

*உங்களுடைய வாழ்க்கையில் மற்றவர்களால் மிகவும் அற்பமாக எண்ணக்கூடிய நிலையில் கடந்து போய்க்கொண்டிருப்பீர்களானால், சோர்ந்து போகாதீர்கள். கர்த்தர் உங்களைத் தூக்கிவிடுகிறவராக, குப்பையில் இருந்து உங்களை  உயர்த்துகிறவராக இருக்கிறார். ‘இப்போதும் நீ என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதை நோக்கி: சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், நீ இஸ்ரவேல் என்கிற என் ஜனங்களுக்கு அதிபதியாயிருக்கும்படி, ஆடுகளின் பின்னே நடந்த உன்னை நான் ஆட்டுமந்தையை விட்டுஎடுத்து, நீ போன எவ்விடத்திலும் உன்னோடே இருந்து, உன் சத்துருக்களையெல்லாம் உனக்கு முன்பாக நிர்மூலமாக்கி, பூமியிலிருக்கிற பெரியோர்களின் நாமத்திற்கு ஒத்த பெரிய நாமத்தை உனக்கு உண்டாக்கினேன்’ (2 சாமு 7:8-9) என்று வேதம் சொல்லுகிறது.*

*கர்த்தர் தாவீதைப் புழுதியிலிருந்து தூக்கியெடுத்தார். உங்களையும் கூட அவ்விதமாகவே உயர்த்துவார் என்பதை நினைவில் கொள்ளுங்கள். இந்த உலகத்தில் அற்பமான காரியத்தைச் சார்ந்து வாழுகிற உயர்வை எண்ணிப்பார்த்து நீங்கள் வாழக்கூடாது. கிறிஸ்துவின் மூலமாகக் கர்த்தர் ஆவிக்குரிய மிக உன்னதமான உயர்வை நமக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். இன்னுமாக அவரோடுகூட நாம் இருக்கும்படியாகவும் தேவன் செய்திருக்கிறார். ஆவிக்குரிய மேலான கிருபைகளை நமக்குத் தந்தருளின கர்த்தர், பாவங்களினால் உழன்று கொண்டிருந்த நம்மை, தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாக உயர்த்தியிருப்பது எவ்வளவு மேலான சிலாக்கியம் என்பதை அதிகமாக நாம் எண்ணிப்பார்க்க வேண்டும்.*

 

*இந்த உலகத்தின் உயர்வை விட ஆவிக்குரிய உயர்வு மிக உன்னதமானது, மகிமைகரமானது. தேவ ஆவியானவர், இவ்விதமான சுதந்திரத்திற்கு நாம் பங்காளிகளாக வாழுகிறோம் என்ற நிச்சயத்தை நமக்கு கொடுப்பாரானால் அது எவ்வளவு நலமாக இருக்கும்! புழுதியிலிருந்து நம்மைத் தூக்கி எடுக்கிறவர், குப்பையிலிருந்து உயர்த்துகிற தேவன் அவர். அவரை நாம் பற்றிக் கொண்டு, அவருக்காக நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையை  அர்ப்பணிக்கும் பொழுது, நிச்சயமாக தாழ்வு என்பது இல்லை. உன்னதமான சிலாக்கியங்களுக்கு பங்காளிகளாவோம்.*

*நம் நிலை என்ன? உலகத்தின் காரியங்களா? ஆவிக்குரிய சிலாக்கியங்களா?*

*_"Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it"_* (Luke 11:28).

*Satan targets both the spiritually strong and the spiritually weak. Whatever the level of our spiritual maturity, the enemy has a plan to make us spiritually stagnant. Jesus warned against this in His parable of the sower (see Matthew 13).* 

*In this analogy, the sower is God and the seeds are God's Word. The devil knows he has no power over the sower or the seed. This is why he focuses on corrupting the soil where the seeds land so that maybe he can prevent God's Word from taking root in our hearts.*

  

*Jesus warns against three types of soil where seeds suffer. Today we will look at the first two.*

*In Matthew 13:19, there is the soil by the wayside: "When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path." When our hearts become hardened due to unconfessed sin or bitterness, we lose our sensitivity to God's voice and our understanding of His Word.*

*The next type of soil is the shallow soil full of stones: "The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time" (Matthew 13:20-21). Fresh converts who are full of joy and wonder over their new faith can quickly fall into old habits when their friends ridicule them. Even longtime believers could be shallow soil if they have failed to mature beyond spiritual infancy.*

Prayer: *Father, show me if I am one of these types of soil where the seeds of Your Word are not able to take root. And by Your Spirit, make my heart fertile ground for Your Truth that brings joy and freedom. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.*

*நினைவுகளையும் அறியும் தேவன்*

*நினைவுகளையும் அறியும் தேவன்*

*_“நான் அவர்கள் கிரியைகளையும், அவர்கள் நினைவுகளையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன். நான் சகல ஜாதியாரையும் பாஷைக்காரரையுங் கூட்டிச்சேர்க்குங்காலம் வரும்; அவர்கள் வந்து என் மகிமையைக் காண்பார்கள்”_* (ஏசாயா 66:18).

*இந்த தேவன் எவ்வளவு உன்னதமானவர், மகிமையுள்ளவர், வல்லமையுள்ளவர், எல்லாவற்றையும் அறிந்த சர்வ ஞானமுள்ளவர் என்பதை நாம் அநேக வேளைகளில் மறந்துவிடுகிறோம். நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையில் நம் கிரியைகள் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக அறியப்படாமல் இருக்கின்றதோ என்று எண்ணலாம். இல்லை, தேவனுக்காக நாம் படுகிற பிரயாசமும் அவருக்காக வாழுகிற காரியங்களையும் தேவன் அறிந்திருக்கிறவராய் இருக்கிறார். கர்த்தருக்குள் படுகிற பிரயாசம் விருதாவாய்ப் போகாது என்பதை நாம் அறிந்து கொள்வோம்.* 

*மேலும் தேவன் நம்முடைய நினைவுகளையும் அவர் அறிந்திருக்கிறார். நீதியின் மேல் பசி தாகம் உள்ளவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள், அவர்கள் திருப்தியடைவார்கள் என்று வேதம் சொல்லுகிறது. நம்முடைய நினைவுகளை அவர் கனப்படுத்துகிறார். இந்த தேவன் நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையின் எல்லாவற்றையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறார் என்பதை உணர்ந்து அவரை முற்றிலும் சார்ந்துகொள்வது முக்கியம். நம்முடைய நினைவுகள் சரியாய் இருக்கும்பொழுது அவைகளின் மூலமாய் கர்த்தர் மகிமைப்படுவார். ஆகவே நாம் நம்முடைய நினைவுகளையும் காத்துக்கொள்ள அதிக ஜாக்கிரதையுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்க வேண்டும். எதிர்மறையான எண்ணங்களை நாம் நீக்குவோம். கர்த்தருக்குள் சரியான நினைவுகளைக் கொண்டவர்களாக நாம் வாழுவதில் ஜாக்கிரதையுள்ளவர்களாக இருப்போம். அநேக வேளைகளில் நம்முடைய நினைவுகள் நம்மை அடிமைப்படுத்தி பயத்துக்குள்ளாக வழிநடத்த வாய்ப்புண்டு.*

*ஆகவே நம்முடைய நினைவுகளைக் கர்த்தருக்குள்ளாகக் காத்துக்கொள்ள அவர் நமக்கு கிருபை செய்வாராக.*

*_"And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin'"_* (Luke 15:9).

*The parable of the lost coin found in Luke 15:8-10 portrays a woman's urgency to find one of her most treasured possessions.*

*As is common when something of value is lost, she spares no effort to find her lost coin. You can feel her heart racing in panic as she lights a lamp and sweeps the dirt floor carefully and methodically until she finds what was lost. When she finds it, she is ecstatic, and she includes her friends and neighbors in her joy.*

*An interesting element of the parable is that the woman lost the coin in her own home. She was not traveling or in unfamiliar territory. She lost her treasure in her day-to-day routine.*

👉 *The same is true of many Christians. They haven't wandered away from the Father or set off for a distant country to revel in sin. Rather, they have lost the treasure of their relationship with the Lord in their day-to-day routine. At first, the lost treasure may be overlooked. However, the loss will eventually be apparent. Have you lost the treasure of a personal relationship with the Lord who loves you?*

Prayer: *Lord, I'm afraid that in the midst of my daily routine, I have lost the treasure of time spent with You. Father, forgive me and help me to find it again. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.*

*_“உன்னிடத்தில் ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட அந்த நற்பொருளை நமக்குள்ளே வாசம்பண்ணுகிற பரிசுத்த ஆவியினாலே காத்துக்கொள்”_* (2தீமோத்தேயு 1:14).

*நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையில் ஜெபம் என்பது மிக முக்கியம் என்பதை அறிந்திருக்கிறோம். நம்முடைய ஜெப வாழ்க்கைக்கு பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் துணையாக இருக்கிறார் என்பதை நாம் விளங்கிக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். ஜெபம் என்பது தேவனோடு நாம் கொள்ளும் தொடர்பு. ஒரு அர்த்தமுள்ள ஜெப வாழ்க்கைக்கு தேவ ஆவியானவரின் துணை மிக அவசியம். ஒரு விசுவாசிக்குள் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் அவனுக்குள் வாசம் பண்ணுகிறவராய் இருக்கிறார். கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆவி இல்லாதவன் அவருடையவன் அல்ல என்று வேதம் சொல்லுகிறது. இன்றைக்கும் சிலர் இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டு உலகத்திலும் உலகத்திலுள்ளவைகளிலும் அன்புகூருகிறார்கள். ஆனால் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் நம்மில் வாசம் பண்ணுகிறபடியால் நம்முடைய எண்ணங்களை அவர் ஆளுகை செய்கிறார். நம்முடைய பேச்சிலும் சிந்தையிலும் அவர் ஆளுகை செய்கிறார். பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் நம்மில் வாசம் பண்ணும்போது நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையில் விசுவாசத்திற்குரிய சிந்தனைகள் எண்ணங்கள் நம்மில் காணப்படும்.*

*பவுல் இங்கு நற்பொருள் என்று சொல்லுவது என்னவென்றால், “நீ கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவைப்பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தோடும் அன்போடும் என்னிடத்தில் கேட்டிருக்கிற ஆரோக்கியமான வசனங்களின் சட்டத்தைக் கைக்கொண்டி.ரு” (1தீமோத்தேயு 1:13) தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு அதின் அடிப்படையில் வாழுகின்ற வாழ்க்கை முறையே அந்த நற்பொருளாக பவுல் சொல்லுகிறார்.*

*பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் நம்மில் வாசம் பண்ணும்போது இரண்டு அருமையான காரியங்களை நமக்குக் கொடுக்கிறார், ஒன்று தேவனோடு கொண்டிருக்கிற தொடர்பை அவர் நிலைப்படுத்துகிறார். மற்றொன்று அவருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கைக்கொண்டு வாழ நமக்கு உதவி செய்கிறார்.*

*இதை ஒரு இயற்கை மனிதனால் பின்பற்ற முடியாது. அவர்கள் ஜெபித்தாலும் வேதம் வாசித்தாலும் அதைத் தங்கள் வாழ்க்கையில் நடைமுறைப் படுத்துவதில் தோல்வியாக வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருப்பார்கள். பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் நம்மில் வாசம் பண்ணும்பொழுது மாத்திரமே நம்முடைய ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையில் வெற்றியுள்ளவர்களாகவும், தேவனுடைய நாமத்தை மகிமைப் படுத்துகிறவர்களாகவும் வாழுவோம். நம்முடைய ஆவிக்குரிய, வாழ்க்கையில் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் இருக்கும்பொழுது நிச்சயமாக சமாதானத்தோடும் சந்தோஷத்தோடும் நிறைவோடும் வாழுகிற வாழ்க்கையை வேதம் போதிக்கின்றது.*

*_"But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment"_* (Matthew 5:22).

Read Matthew 5:21-26.  

*Though it may not seem like it at first, the Torah or Law, which is comprised of the first five books of the Bible, was a precious gift to the people of Israel. God's law teaches us how to live in a manner pleasing to God—a manner that is also for our good. It also points us to our need for a Savior since none of us can keep His commands perfectly. But the law also reveals something else: the very heart of God.*

*In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus brought the Truth home, clarifying the heart of God. Beginning with the commandment not to murder, Jesus shocked His listeners by declaring that the sin of selfish anger is tantamount to murder. How can that be? Because that's where murder starts—in a person's heart.*

*Murder starts with a selfish, prideful motive. And so, Jesus was saying to the self-righteous Pharisees in the crowd, "Righteousness is not only a matter of external things. Righteousness does not exist only on the surface. Righteousness is not true righteousness if it only comes out when other people are watching." That is why He could say, "Anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment" (Matthew 5:22).*

*I think most of us know that anger takes many forms, ranging from slight irritation to full-blown, uncontrollable rage, but all unrighteous anger stems from pride and self-righteousness. It creeps up when we don't get our way, when someone criticizes us, or when we're overlooked.*

*Smoldering anger, if left unchecked, will destroy a person from the inside out. It will also destroy a person's relationship with God, for no one can know Jesus as Savior and Lord and still nurse hatred toward another (see 1 John 4:20). That is why Jesus' message to us is this: Repair whatever breach you may have with a brother or sister in Christ so that you can truly settle the breach between yourself and God.*

*Brothers and sisters, if there's a conflict in your life, deal with it as soon as you can. Resolve here and now to dig up these roots of bitterness. When you forgive others and make peace with those you've hurt, you will be amazed at what the Holy Spirit will do—and you'll also bear witness to the transforming power of God to redeem and renew His children.*

Prayer: *Lord, forgive me for being quick to anger. Help me to humble myself as You have humbled Yourself, that I might live in peace with all as far as it depends on me (Romans 12:18). I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.*

 *_“பூரணரட்சிப்பும் ஞானமும் அறிவும் உன் காலங்களுடைய உறுதியாயிருக்கும்; கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதலே அதின் பொக்கிஷம்”_* (ஏசாயா 33:6).

👉 *"நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையில் கர்த்தரில் உறுதியாக நிற்கவில்லை என்றால், நம் வாழ்க்கையில் நாம் நிலை தவறினவர்களாகவும், தடுமாறித் திரிகிறவர்களாகவும் காணப்படுவோம். இந்த அதிகாரத்தில் ஏசாயா மூன்று காரியங்களை முக்கியத்துவப் படுத்துகிறார்.*

👉 *"முதலாவது, பூரண இரட்சிப்பு."* நம் வாழ்க்கையில் நாம் இரட்சிக்கப்படவில்லை என்றால், நம் வாழ்க்கை அதிபயங்கரத்தில் இருக்கிறது என்பதை மறந்துவிடக்கூடாது. இரட்சிக்கப்படும் பொழுது நம் வாழ்க்கையில் எல்லாவற்றையும் தேவன் பொறுப்பெடுத்து செயல்படுகிறவராக இருக்கிறார். இரட்சிக்கப்பட்ட மனிதனின் வாழ்க்கையானது கர்த்தருக்குள் பாதுகாப்பானதாகும். இரட்சிக்கப்படாத மனிதனின் வாழ்க்கையானது பாதுகாப்பற்ற, நம்பிக்கையற்ற, ஏமாற்றம் நிறைந்த ஒன்றாகும்.

      👉 *இரண்டவாதாக, தேவன் கொடுக்கிற ஞானம்.* தேவ ஞானம் என்பது தேவன் நமக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தியிருக்கிற ஆவிக்குரிய காரியங்கள் ஆகும். அது உன்னதமான சில்லாக்கியங்கள் கொண்டவை. தேவனுடைய காரியங்களை ஒரு மனிதன் தாமாக அறிந்துக்கொள்ள முடியாது. அதற்கு தேவனுடைய ஞானம் அவசியம்.

👉 *" மூன்றாவதாக, அறிவு."*  இது தேவனைக் குறித்து நாம் அறிந்திருக்கிற காரியமாகும். தேவனுக்கேற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழுவதாகும். இந்த மூன்று காரியங்களும் எல்லாக் காலத்திற்கும் பொருந்தக்கூடிய ஒன்றாகும். இந்த மூன்று காரியங்களும் இல்லாதவர்களின் வாழ்க்கை நிலையற்றதே.

      👉 *அதுமாத்திரமல்ல, நம் வாழ்க்கையில் பெற்றிருக்கிற அல்லது பெறவேண்டிய பொக்கிஷம் என்னவென்றால் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம். தேவனுக்குப் பயந்து வாழுகிற வாழ்க்கை. ஆகவேதான் வேதம்: “கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதல் ஜீவஊற்று; அதினால் மரணக்கண்ணிகளுக்குத் தப்பலாம்”(நீதி 14:27) என்று சொல்லுகிறது. கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதல் என்பது நாம் அடிமைத்தனத்தில் வாழுவதல்ல. மாறாக நாம் நீதியின் பாதையில் செல்லுவதற்கு கர்த்தர்க்குப் பயப்படும் பயம் அவசியம். நாம் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பொழுது மாத்திரமே மேலே கூறிய மூன்று காரியங்களையும்  பெற்றுக் கொள்ளமுடியும்.* ஆகவே கர்த்தர்க்குப் பயப்படும் பயம் நம்மிடம் காணப்படுகிறதா என்பதை யோசித்துப் பார்ப்போம்.

*_"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them"_* (Matthew 5:17).

Read Matthew 5:17-20.  

*Many people today want to believe that morality can be democratized, that if enough people believe some perverse action is acceptable that it will no longer be immoral. But that is not how the universe works. In the end, there is only one opinion that matters. There is only one Judge. His name is the Lord God Almighty. And He requires nothing short of perfect obedience to His laws and commandments.*

*Friends, this is why Jesus came. He came to authenticate, to fulfill, and to complete the Commandments (see Matthew 5:17). Jesus is the only man who was able to keep all of the Ten Commandments all of the time. He came to show us that the Law actually points to Him. In fact, the entire Old Testament directs our gaze to Him. From Genesis all the way to the book of Malachi, everything that has been written points us to Jesus.*

*You may be thinking, But if Jesus came to fulfill the law, then why do we still need it? You wouldn't be alone. There are many people today who would like to do away with the Ten Commandments. They want to focus, instead, on the love of God.*

*That sort of thinking breaks my heart. It is an incomplete picture of the Gospel. You see, all of God's law is a mirror that tells us we are sinners whose eternal destiny is separation from God in hell. It tells us we are in desperate need of the only true Savior, who obeyed God the Father perfectly and who, because of His great love, died a horrifying, gruesome, lonely, and shameful death on the cross to atone for our sins. He is the only way we can make it to heaven—by His blood shed for our forgiveness.*

*Jesus said, "Unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven" (v. 20). At first, this is a terrifying statement, for we all know the Pharisees were meticulous about the commandments of God—so exacting that they even tithed from their spice rack (see Matthew 23:23). Thankfully, righteousness before God is not a matter of legalism. Instead, it's a gift flowing from the grace of God. It's a righteousness that can only be imparted to us by God's perfect Son, Jesus Christ.*

Prayer: *Jesus, thank You for fulfilling the law for me—for giving me Your righteousness. I know it is only by pleading Your blood over me that I am made new and can enter the eternal presence of God in hope and joy. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.*
