"கொப்பேர் மரம் சொல்லும் சத்தியம்" 

“நீ கொப்பேர் மரத்தால் உனக்கு ஒரு பேழையை உண்டாக்கு; அந்தப் பேழையிலே அறைகளை உண்டுபண்ணி, அதை உள்ளும் புறம்புமாகக் கீல்புசு” – ஆதியாகமம் 6:14 

மாலா, கவிதா என்று இரண்டு தோழிகள் ஒரே கல்லூரியில் படித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். கவிதா இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பை அறியாத குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்த ஒரு பெண். மாலா தன் சிறு வயதில் இருந்தே ஜெபம், வேதவாசிப்பு என்று இயேசுவிற்காக உற்சாகமாக செயல்படக்கூடியவள். இவள் தன்னை சுற்றியுள்ள எல்லோரிடமும் அன்பாக பழகுவாள், தன் கல்லூரி படிப்பு, விளையாட்டு என்று எல்லா துறைகளிலும் முதலிடம் பிடிப்பவள். இதற்கு நேர் எதிராக இருந்தவள் தான் அவளுடைய தோழி கவிதா. தன்னுடைய கல்லூரி காலத்தில் உலகத்தோடும், உலக சிற்றின்பங்களோடும் நேரம் செலவு செய்வதை தன்னுடைய விருப்பமாக கொண்டிருந்தாள். படிப்பிலும் இவள் சற்று மந்தமாகவே இருந்தாள்.

ஒருமுறை கவிதா மாலாவிடம் ஒரு கேள்வி கேட்டாள். “மாலா, நாம் இருவரும் சிறுவயதில் இருந்தே நெருங்கிய தோழிகள், ஆனால் நமக்குள் நிறைய வித்தியாசங்கள் உள்ளது, உன்னால் மட்டும் எப்படி எல்லாவற்றிலும் முதலிடம் பிடிக்க முடிகிறது?” என்று சற்று வருத்தத்தோடு கேட்டாள். கவிதாவிடம் நெருங்கி சென்று மாலா சொன்னாள் “நான் என்னை படைத்த தேவனுக்கு என்னுடைய அன்றாட வாழ்வின் முதல் மணிநேரத்தை செலவு செய்வேன். மனிதர்களிடம் பேசுவதற்கு முன்பாக முதல் மணிநேரத்தை அவருடைய பாதத்தில் செலவழிப்பேன், அப்பொழுது அவர் என்னிடம் பேசுவார். அவர் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டு என் நாளை நான் துவங்க, அனைத்தும் ஜெயமாக முடியும் உலக இச்சை, சிற்றின்பங்களில் சிக்காமல் அது நம்மைப் பாதுகாக்கும்” எனக் கூறினாள். உடனே கவிதாவும் தொடப்பட்டவளாக தன் வாழ்வை ஆண்டவருக்கு அர்ப்பணித்தாள்.

வேதத்தில்கூட ஆண்டவர் கொப்பேர் மரத்தைக் கொண்டு அந்த நாட்களில் நோவாவை பேழை செய்ய சொல்கிறார். ஏன் கொப்பேர் மரத்தை தேவன் தெரிந்து கொண்டார் தெரியுமா? கொப்பேர் மரமானது எவ்வளவு தண்ணீர் இருந்தாலும் அதோடு ஒட்டாது, அதில் பிசின் போன்று உள்ள வழவழப்புத்தன்மை தண்ணீரையும், தூசியையும் அந்த மரத்தின் மேல் ஒட்டவிடாமல் காத்துக்கொள்ளும். தேவனை அறிந்துகொண்ட நாமும் உலகத்தோடு வாழ்ந்தாலும், உலகத்தில் உள்ள பாவங்களோடும் சிற்றின்பங்களோடும் ஒட்டாமல் நம்மை காத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். அன்று கொப்பேர் மரத்தில் செய்யப்பட்ட பேழையில் உள்ள நோவாவின் குடும்பத்தார் போல நாமும் காப்பாற்றப்பட உலகத்தோடு கலவாமல் சாட்சியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழ நாமும் ஆண்டவர் துணையுடன் ஆயத்தமாவோமா?

"Listen for His Voice" Day-9

"Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture" (Psalm 100:3).

In the Middle East, the relationship between the shepherd and the sheep is special. Sheep know their shepherd's voice, and they follow him when he calls. If a stranger comes along, the sheep shrink back.

It is no surprise that during World War I, when a group of Turkish soldiers decided to steal a flock of sheep from a hillside near Jerusalem, they had to face the fact that the shepherd was the only one who could control the sheep. But even he knew he could not recapture his flock single-handed against all those soldiers.

He did the only thing he could; he put his hand to his mouth and gave his own particular call that he used each day to gather his sheep. When the sheep heard the familiar sound, they stopped, turned, and came back to their shepherd.

The same is true with us—the body of Christ. Those who are children of God will hear His voice through His Word. Jesus says in John 10:27-28, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand."

You know you are one of His sheep when you respond to His voice and His Word. Do you recognize the voice of Jesus? He knows you better than you know yourself.

Jesus says, "I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me" (John 10:14). Jesus is the Good Shepherd who gave His life for you. He longs for you to draw closer to Him. Can you hear His voice? Do you know His special call to you? Be still, listen, and pray, and you will be blessed by the Savior's intimate care.

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for being the Good Shepherd. Train my ear to recognize Your voice and my heart to respond to Your call. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

தடுப்பூசி

🍒 "தடுப்பூசி" 🍒

“ஆகையால் பொல்லாப்பு உனக்கு நேரிடாது, வாதை உன் கூடாரத்தை அணுகாது.” – சங்கீதம் 91:10 

ஜான் ஜீ லேக் என்கிற ஊழியக்காரர் ஒரு விதக் கொடிய வியாதி பரவிக்கொண்டிருந்த காலத்தில் மருத்துவமனைகளுக்கு சென்று வியாதியஸ்தருக்காக ஜெபித்து வந்தார். இதைக் கண்ட மருத்துவர்கள் அவரை அழைத்து, “நீங்கள் இந்த கொடிய வியாதியஸ்தர் தலையில் கைகளை வைத்து ஜெபிக்கின்றீர்கள்; அந்த வியாதிகள் உங்களை தொற்றாதா? நீங்கள் தடுப்பூசி போட்டிருக்கிறீர்களா?” என்று கேட்டார்கள். அதற்கு இந்த ஊழியக்காரர் சொன்னார், “ஆம், நான் தடுப்பூசி போட்டிருக்கிறேன்” என்றார். மருத்துவர்கள் என்ன தடுப்பூசி எப்போது போட்டீர்கள்? என்று கேட்க அவர் சொன்னார், “நான் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினாலே ஜீவனுடைய ஆவியின் பிரமாணம் என்னை பாவம், மரணம் என்பவைகளின் பிரமாணத்தினின்று விடுதலையாக்கிற்றே (ரோமர் 8:2) என்ற தடுப்பூசி போட்டிருக்கிறேன்" என்றார். இந்த ஊழியக்காரர் போட்ட தடுப்பூசி என்ன? பாவம், மரணம் என்ற பிரமாணத்தினின்று விடுதலை என்கிற தடுப்பூசியே!

நாம் வேதத்தைப் பார்ப்போமானால், இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் எகிப்தில் அடிமைகளாக இருந்தபோது அநேக வாதைகள் வந்தன. ஆனால் எதுவுமே இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களை ஒன்றும் சேதப்படுத்தவில்லை. ஏனென்றால் தேவனை அண்டிக்கொண்ட யாவருக்கும் அவரே அரணாக, கோட்டையாக, கேடகமாக, துருகமாக நிழலாக இருந்தார். இன்றைக்கும் அப்படியே இருக்கிறார். 

கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் அன்பானவர்களே! இன்று பல விசித்தரமான கொள்ளைநோய்கள் பரவினாலும் எதுவும் நம்மை மேற்கொள்ளாது. ஏனென்றால் நாம் போட்டிருக்கிற தடுப்பூசி அப்படிப்பட்டது. ஒருவன் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் இருந்தால் மாத்திரமே இந்த தடுப்பூசி வேலை செய்யும். கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு வெளியே இருப்பவர்களுக்கு எந்த உத்திரவாதமும் இல்லை. நீ இப்பொழுதே என்னிடம் வா என்று இயேசு அழைக்கிறார். உங்கள் அந்தரங்க பாவங்களை விட்டு மனந்திரும்பி வரும்படி தேவன் எதிர்பார்க்கிறார். அவருக்காக  உன்னை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பாயானால் பொல்லாப்பு உனக்கு நேரிடாது. வாதை உன் கூடாரத்தை அணுகாது. ஆமென்!

"I Am the True Vine" Day-8

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5).

There is a tree that grows in the tropics called the banyan tree. This particular tree's height, spread, and trunk thickness make it a glorious tree in terms of shade and beauty. Its branches reach out and down to the ground. Wherever the tips of the branches touch the earth, there they take root and new trees begin to grow.

Is our life spreading and multiplying itself in the lives of others—like the banyan? Are we sharing the love of God with friends, family members, and co-workers?  

God has given us the Great Commission to make Him known—to bring men, women, and children to a saving knowledge of Him. Jesus brings healing, forgiveness, and deliverance. His acceptance is unconditional.

Jesus told the disciples, "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener" (John 15:1). Without abiding in Christ, you cannot be fruitful. Jesus says, "No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me" (John 15:4).

We must abide in Christ. We become one with Christ when we seek and follow His purpose for our life—adopting His perspective as our own. Are we abiding in Christ today?

Prayer: Lord, please forgive me for the times when I have not remained in You—forging my own way rather than abiding in You and bearing fruit for You. Thank You for Your forgiveness and for Your guidance. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"உதவி"

“...நீங்கள் மற்றவர்களுக்கு அளக்கிற அளவின்படியே உங்களுக்கும் அளக்கப்படும்.” - மத்தேயு 7:2

ஒருமுறை சாதுசுந்தர்சிங் திபெத் நோக்கி சென்று கொண்டிருந்தபோது அவரோடு கூட ஒரு நபரும் பயணப்பட்டார். அவர்கள் மலையின் குளிர் தாங்க முடியாமல் நடந்து கொண்டிருந்தனர். அவர்கள் உடலில் முற்றிலுமாய் சூடு இல்லாமல் நடுங்கிக் கொண்டும் பலனற்ற நிலையிலும் இருந்தனர். அப்போது அவர்கள் சென்ற வழியில் இருந்த ஒரு பள்ளத்தாக்கில் ஒரு நபர் உயிருக்குப் போராடிக் கொண்டிருப்பதைக் கண்டார்கள். அப்போது சாது அவர்கள் அவருக்கு உதவும்படி தன்னோடிருந்த நபரை அழைத்தார். ஆனால் அவரோ நாமே பெலனில்லாமல் உள்ள நிலையில் அவருக்கு எப்படி உதவ முடியும் எனக்கூறி சென்று விட்டார். ஆனால் சாது இறங்கிச் சென்று அவரை தன் முதுகில் தூக்கிக்கொண்டு மெதுவாக நகர்ந்து சென்றார். அவருடைய உடல் உஷ்ணம் பெற ஆரம்பித்தது. அதினால் இவருடைய சரீரமும் பெலனடைந்தது. அவர்கள் நடந்து சென்று கொண்டிருக்கும்போது சற்று தொலைவில் ஒருவர் இறந்து கிடப்பதைக் கண்டனர். அவர் சாதுவுக்கு உதவி செய்ய மறுத்த நபர். அவர் உடல் உஷ்ணம் இல்லாததினால் குளிரில் இறந்துவிட்டார்.

வேதத்தில் நாம் பார்க்கிறோம், “நீங்கள் எந்த அளவின்படி அளக்கிறீர்களோ அதே அளவின்படி உங்களுக்கும் அளக்கப்படும்” என்று. அப்படியானால் நாம் மற்றவர்களுக்கு என்ன செய்கின்றோமோ அதையே தேவன் நமக்கும் திரும்பத் தருவார். நாம் மற்றவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்யாமல் இருப்போமானால் நாம் ஆபத்துக் காலத்தில் கூப்பிடும்போது தேவனும் நமக்கு செவிகொடுக்க மாட்டார், மற்றவர்களும் உதவ மாட்டார்கள்.

இதற்கு வேதத்தில் ஒரு நல்ல எடுத்துக்காட்டு இயேசு கூறிய உவமையில் வருகின்ற நல்ல சமாரியன். ஒரு மனிதன் கள்ளர்களால் காயப்படுத்தப்பட்டு இறக்கும் நிலையில் இருப்பதைக் கண்ட அவன் அவனுக்கு உதவ முன்வருகிறான். அவனுக்கு முன்பாக லேவியர், ஆசாரியர் என பலர் கடந்து சென்றனர். ஆனால் அந்த சமாரியன் மட்டுமே அவனைப் பார்த்து பரிதபிக்கிறான். எனவேதான் அவன் தேவனால் “நல்ல சமாரியன்” என சாட்சி பெறுகிறான்.

இந்த நாளில் நாம் நம்முடைய வாழ்வை ஆராய்ந்து பார்ப்போம். உதவி என்று உண்மையாய் நம்மை நம்பி வருகின்றவர்களுக்கு நாம் சொல்லும் பதில் என்ன? நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நாளில் நாம் எந்தப் பக்கம் நிற்கப் போகின்றோம்? சிறியோருக்கு உதவியவர்களாகவா? அல்லது தேவன் அறியேன் என்று சொன்ன கூட்டத்தோடா?

"I Am the Bread of Life" Day-7

"Jesus said to them, 'Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven'" (John 6:32).

Jesus offered all of us a sure way to experience peace, contentment, and complete satisfaction. In John, He tells us: "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. . . . All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away" (6:35, 37).  

Jesus embraces us with an unconditional love; one that will never cease. Just when we think there is no hope, no understanding, and no way out of our predicament, our loving Lord speaks words of affirmation and encouragement to our hearts.

In times of extreme difficulty, it is important to trust Him and not to faint with weariness. Remember that whatever He does concerning our lives will end up being for our good and for His glory. Are you fit for the battle? Are you partaking of the true Bread of Life, the one who will sustain you through times of victory and disappointment?

If you are eating from the bowl of the world's expectations and dreams, then you will be soundly disappointed. You will probably experience defeat in your spiritual and emotional life. You can spend your lifetime trying to gain wealth and prominence, but no amount of money is sufficient to purchase the gift that God offers you through the life of His Son.

If you want to be sure of your eternal salvation, then take and eat of God's beloved manna, Jesus Christ. No one nor anything else can satisfy your needs. Only Jesus can fill you, and this is exactly what He promises those who listen and accept His Word and nourishment.

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for meeting my every need—for filling my spiritual hunger. You are the Bread of Life. Help me to daily feast on Your Truth, goodness, and grace. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"நாம் விசேஷித்தவர்கள்!"

"நாம் விசேஷித்தவர்கள்!"

“உலகத்திலே வந்து எந்த மனுஷனையும் பிரகாசிப்பிக்கிற ஒளியே அந்த மெய்யான ஒளி” - யோவான்.1:9

மிகப் புகழ்பெற்ற செல்வந்தன் ஒருவன் வாழ்ந்த ஊரிலே, நீதிமானும், தேவன் மீது பக்தியுமுள்ள ஒருவரும் வாழ்ந்து வந்தார். செல்வந்தனுக்கு கிடைத்த மரியாதையைப் போலவே இவருக்கும் மரியாதையையும் மதிப்பையும் தந்து வந்தனர் அந்த ஊர் மக்கள். பல இடங்களில் இருந்து அவரைக் கண்டு ஆலோசனை கேட்க அநேகர் வந்தனர். அது அந்த செல்வந்தனுக்கு கோபத்தையும், பொறாமையையும் ஏற்படுத்தியது. இது எப்படி? நான் திறமையானவன், நல்ல செல்வந்தன், அநேகருக்கு உதவுகிறேன், அவனோ எந்த திறமையும் அற்றவன், இயேசு தெய்வத்தினை நம்பியே வாழ்க்கை நடத்துபவன் அவனுக்கு ஏன் இவ்வளவு புகழ், மரியாதை என சிந்தித்தான். ஒரு நாள் நேரடியாக அவரைச் சென்று பார்த்து கேட்டே விடுவது என முடிவு செய்தான்.

ஒரு நாள் மாலை வேளையிலே அம்மனிதரைக் காணச் சென்றான். அந்த தேவ பக்தியுள்ள மனிதர் அவரை அங்கு இருக்கச் செய்து, சற்று இருட்ட ஆரம்பித்த பின் சந்தித்தார். செல்வந்தனாகிய அம்மனிதன், ‘’என்னைப் பிறர் மதிப்பதற்கும், மரியாதை செய்வதற்கும் காரணம் உள்ளது. உன்னை ஏன் எல்லாரும் என்னைப் போல் மதிக்கவேண்டும்?’’ என்று கேட்டான்.

அம்மனிதர் அவரைத் தன் வீட்டிற்குப் பின் உள்ள ரோஜா தோட்டத்திற்கு அழைத்துச் சென்றார். அங்கு நிலவு பிரகாசமாய் தெரிந்தது. அவர் செல்வந்தரை நோக்கி ‘’கடவுள் உண்டாக்கிய இந்த ரோஜா, அந்த நிலவைப் பார்த்து, நான் நிலவைப் போல் உயரத்தில் இல்லையே, ஒளிவீசவில்லையே எனக் கவலையும் பொறாமையும் கொள்வதில்லை. அந்த நிலவும் ரோஜாவைப் போல் மென்மையாகவும், சிவப்பாகவும் நான் இல்லையே! என நினைப்பதில்லை. மனிதர்களாகிய நம்மையும் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு தனித்தன்மையுடனும், தனித்தனி தாலந்துகளை தந்தும் படைத்துள்ளார். நாம் ஏன் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் பார்த்து ஒப்பிட்டு பொறாமையும், கவலையும் கொள்ள வேண்டும்?’’ எனக் கேட்டார்

காயீன், ஆபேல் மேல் பொறாமை கொண்டான். யோசேப்பின் சகோதரர்கள் யோசேப்பின் மீது பொறாமை கொண்டனர். சவுல், தாவீது மீது... இப்படி சொல்லிக் கொண்டே போகலாம். நம்மிடம் இல்லாத ஒன்று பிறரிடம் இருக்கும்போதோ, பிறர் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளப்படும்போதோ, இந்த பொறாமை உள்ளத்திற்குள் துளிர்க்கிறது. நம்மிடம் இல்லாததைக் கண்டு ஏன் பிறர் மீது பொறாமை கொள்ள வேண்டும்? நம்மிடம் தேவன் பல திறமைகளை கொடுத்து நம்மை விசேஷித்தவர்களாகவே படைத்திருக்கிறாரே! என்ற எண்ணம் இல்லாவிட்டால், நம்மை குறைவாய் மதிப்பிடுவோம். பிறரைக் கண்டு பொறாமையே கொள்ளுவோம். நண்பரே! பொறாமை எலும்புருக்கி, அது நமது மனதை கெடுத்துவிடும். ஆகவே ஜெபத்தோடு இந்த எண்ணத்தை விரட்ட பிரயாசப்படுவோம். நான் விசேஷமானவன். தேவன் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த திறமையைக் கொண்டு தேவனுக்கும் பிறருக்கும் பிரயோஜனமாய் வாழ்வேன் என்ற எண்ணமே நம்மை நிரப்பட்டும்.

"I Am the Light of the World" Day-6

"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life'" (John 8:12).

Some years ago, there were a number of scientific writings dealing with the nova experience (from the Latin word novus or "new"). The nova phenomenon occurs when a medium-sized star suddenly gets brighter and hotter for a period of about one to two weeks. Then it becomes darker and cooler. Each year, observers discover about 10 of these novae.

As scientists observed other stars "go nova" as soon as half of their hydrogen was exhausted, it became popular to believe that the same could happen to our sun.

Can the sun suddenly become a danger, ceasing to warm us and provide the perfect balance of energy we trust in and seek each day? The answer is yes! In Revelation, we read that in the final days the earth will be destroyed. There will be a new earth and a new heaven. And there will be no need for a sun because we will have the Lord Jesus Christ. He will be our source of light, which will be much brighter and warmer than the sun.

Jesus is the light of the world (see John 8:12), and we do not have to wait until the end to walk in His light. Today, He is the one who brings light to the murky areas of our lives. No darkness is powerful enough to extinguish His light. When you step into the light of His love, your pathway will be lit with heaven's hope.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Jesus, the Light of the World. I choose to step into the light of His love today. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“நல்விஷயத்தில் வைராக்கியம் பாராட்டுவது நல்லதுதான்...” - கலாத்தியர்.4:18 

அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய பவுல் அத்தேனே பட்டணத்தில் தன் உடன் ஊழியர்களுக்காக காத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது, அந்தப் பட்டணம் விக்கிரகங்களால் நிறைந்திருப்பதைக் கண்டு, தன் ஆவியில் மிகுந்த வைராக்கியம் அடைந்து, இயேசுவையும் உயிர்த்தெழுதலையும் குறித்து அந்தப் பட்டணத்து மக்களுக்கு அறிவிக்க ஆரம்பித்தார். சிலர் பவுல் சொல்லிய வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு விசுவாசிகளானார்கள் என்று வாசிக்கிறோம்.

நாமும் கூட நம்முடைய அன்றாட வாழ்க்கையில் எத்தனையோ விக்கிரகக் கோயில்களைப் பார்க்கிறோம். அவைகள் நமக்கு நன்மை செய்யும் என்று அவைகளைப் பின்பற்றி போகிற மக்களையும் கண்கூடாகப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறோம். இந்த சூழ்நிலையில் நம்முடைய உள்ளம் எத்தனை முறை ஆவியில் வைராக்கியம் கொண்டிருக்கிறது? மெய்யான தேவனை அவர்களும் அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை குறித்து எத்தனை பேருக்கு அறிவித்திருக்கிறோம்? நம்முடைய வைராக்கியம் எப்படிப்பட்டதாக இருக்கிறது? கிறிஸ்தவன் என்ற போர்வையை போர்த்திக் கொண்டு, ஒரு சபையில், ஸ்தாபனத்தில் அங்கமாயிருந்து, அதைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டு வைராக்கியம் பாராட்டுகிறவர்களாக இருக்கிறோமா? இல்லை, கிறிஸ்துவின் சரீரத்தில் ஒரு அங்கமாக இருந்து மெய்யான கிறிஸ்தவர்களாக வாழ்கிறோமா?

இன்று கிறிஸ்தவரகளாகிய நாம் இயேசுவின் பெயரிலே எத்தனை பிரிவுகளாய் பிரிந்து கிடக்கிறோம்? நல் விஷயத்தில் வைராக்கியம் பாராட்டுவது நல்லது தான். நான் இந்த ஸ்தாபனத்தைச் சார்ந்தவர், நீங்க அந்த ஸ்தாபனத்தைச் சார்ந்தவர் என்ற பிளவுகளால் கிறிஸ்தவ மக்களிடையே காணப்படும் விசுவாசம் குறைந்து கொண்டே செல்வதைக் காணமுடிகிறது. இப்படிப்பட்ட பிரிவுகளில் வைராக்கியம் பாராட்டுவதை விட்டு கிறிஸ்துவுக்காக வைராக்கியம் பாராட்டுகிறவர்களாக வாழ்வோம். ஜனங்கள் மெய்யான தேவனை அறியாமல் விக்கிரகங்களால் கட்டப்பட்டு இருக்கிறார்களே என்று பவுல் வைராக்கியம் கொண்டதுபோல, ஆண்டவரை அறியாத மக்களுக்காக வைராக்கியம் கொள்வோம். மாம்ச வைராக்கியத்தை விட்டொழிப்போம். சுவிசேஷத்தை விதைப்போம், தேவராஜ்யம் கட்டப்பட விசுவாசத்தில் ஒன்றிணைவோம். ஆமென்.

"I Am the Resurrection and the Life" Day-5

"But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:57).

Just before Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He spoke these words to Martha: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die" (John 11:25-26).  

When the stone was removed, Jesus commanded Lazarus to come out of the grave, and he did. Similarly, when you were dead in your sins, God called you by name. You were called to come out of your sins and to experience the power of the resurrection.  Jesus also faced death, but God raised Him from the dead. Jesus' resurrection was physical and spiritual. It was not like Lazarus' resurrection, for Lazarus later died again. But Jesus rose as the firstfruits of those called by the Father to eternal life.

The Bible says that Jesus died, was buried, was raised, and appeared numerous times after the resurrection. Christ's tomb was empty then; it remains empty today. He is our risen Lord and Savior. Even the Romans, with all their power, could not produce His body. The Jewish leaders, with all their hatred and bitterness toward Jesus, could not produce His body. And if the disciples stole His body, as some have asserted, can you imagine the disciples' willingness to die for a hoax they themselves had perpetrated?

Jesus appeared to Mary and told her, "Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God'" (John 20:17).

Have you experienced the power of the resurrection? Are you living in triumph or defeat? Jesus conquered the grave, and you also can conquer eternal death—but only by placing your faith in Him. He sacrificially died on the cross for your sins and rose again that you might spend eternity with Him.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your wondrous love. Thank You for the power and promise of the resurrection. You have made me new here and now, and I know Your work in me will come to completion because You are loving, faithful, and almighty. I praise You! I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"எழும்பு, எழும்பு"

“...நமக்கு நியமித்திருக்கிற ஓட்டத்தில் பொறுமையோடே ஓடக்கடவோம்;” - எபிரெயர் 12:1

தன்னுடைய வாழ்வில் ஏற்பட்ட தொடர் தோல்விகள், விழுகைகள் இவற்றை நினைத்தவாறே சோர்ந்துபோய் இருந்தார் அருள். ஆண்டவருக்காக வைராக்கியமாய் வாழவேண்டுமென்ற எண்ணம் ஒருபக்கம் இருந்தாலும், இயலாமை அவரை சோர்வடையச் செய்தது. அப்போது வீட்டின் ஒரு மூலையில் இருந்த சிலந்தி பூச்சியின் மீது அவர் கவனம் சென்றது. அது தனது வலையை பின்னுவதும் திரும்பவும் விழுவதும் மீண்டும் கட்டுவதும் என தன் வேலையை விடாமுயற்சியோடு செய்து கொண்டிருந்தது. எத்தனை முறை விழுந்தாலும் அது சோர்ந்து போகாமல் தன் வேலையை செய்கின்ற காரியம் அவரை உற்சாகப்படுத்தியது.

நம்முடைய ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வும் கீழே விழுவதும் எழும்புவதுமாக இருக்கலாம். இதனிமித்தம் கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்விலே முடிவு பரியந்தம் நிலை நிற்க முடியாதோ என அஞ்சி கொண்டிருக்கலாம், ஆனால் கலங்கத் தேவையில்லை. வேதத்திலே மோசேயின் வாழ்வை பார்த்தால், ஆரம்பத்தில் கோபத்தினால் எகிப்தியன் ஒருவனை கொன்று புதைத்து விட்டார். கொலை செய்யுமளவிற்கு கோபக்காரனான மோசேயை தேவன் வனாந்தரத்தில் 40 ஆண்டுகள் பயிற்சி கொடுத்து, பின்பு லட்சக்கணக்கான இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களை வழிநடத்திச் செல்லும் பெரிய பொறுப்பை மோசேயிடம் கொடுத்தார். அவர்கள் 40 ஆண்டு காலம் மோசேயை தினம் தினம் கோபமூட்டும்படியே நடந்தனர், பேசினர். ஆனால் மோசேயோ சாந்தகுணமாய் நடந்து கொண்டார். எந்த கோபம் அவருக்கு பெலவீனமாயிருந்ததோ, அதிலே ஜெயம் பெற்று ஆண்டவரின் பாராட்டையும் பெற்றார். பூமியிலுள்ளவர்களிலெல்லாம் சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவன் என்று ஆண்டவர் பாராட்டினாரே!

ஆம், எனக்கன்பானவர்களே! நீங்கள் அடிக்கடி விழுந்து ஆவிக்குரிய சரிவை காணும் காரியம் கோபமா? பொதுவாக நமக்கு எதினால் கோபம் வருகிறது? நான் செய்வது சொல்வது தான் சரி, இதை எல்லோரும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்கிற பெருமை நமக்குள் ஒளிந்திருப்பதுதான். நம்மில் அநேகர் சீக்கிரமாய் விழுந்து தடுமாறுவதும் இந்த கோபம் என்னும் பெலவீனத்தில்தான். என்னால் மாறவே முடியவில்லை என்று மனஸ்தாபப்படுகிறீர்களா? பதற வேண்டாம். வேதம் கூறும் ஆலோசனைப்படி தாழ்மையை தரித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். ஜெபத்துடன் பொறுமையாயிருக்க முயற்சியுங்கள். மோசேயை மாற்றின தேவன் உங்களையும் மாற்றுவார். உங்களைத் தடுமாறச் செய்யும் பெலவீனம் எதுவோ அதிலே நீங்கள் வெற்றி பெறுவீர்கள்.

"The Living Water" Day-4

"'[H]e will lead them to springs of living water.' 'And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes'" (Revelation 7:17).

We all understand the importance of water for survival. In fact, next to air, water is the most important substance for life.  

The Bible teaches that Jesus is God incarnate and that He was also human. He experienced the same feelings and temptations that we encounter each day. However, He never succumbed to even one temptation.  

In John 4:4-9, we read how the Savior became tired and stopped to rest beside the well of Jacob. While His disciples were buying food in a nearby town, a Samaritan woman arrived at the well to draw water. Jesus, being thirsty, asked her for a drink of the well's water. Immediately, she protested and reminded Him that she was a Samaritan and He was a Jew.

Jews believed the Samaritans were unclean. Another fact to consider is that this woman was at the well alone at high noon. More than likely, she also was considered unclean by her own people and came to the well at a time when no one else would see her.

We know her story. She had been married many times and needed a Savior, and Jesus met her need. He told her:

        "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life." (John 4:13-14)

Christ confronted the deepest need of this woman and offered her a chance to begin life anew. Are we restless and discontent? Just as He offered living water to the woman at the well, Jesus offers it to us. When we drink of Him, we will thirst no more.

Prayer: Lord, please forgive me for the times I forsake You, the source of living water. I am thirsty and ask today for You to fill me to overflowing with Your life-giving water. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"அனலாயிருங்கள்"

“...ஆவியிலே அனலாயிருங்கள்; கர்த்தருக்கு ஊழியஞ்செய்யுங்கள்” - ரோமர் 12:11

வட இந்தியப் பகுதியில் இரயில் பிரயாணங்களில் தினமும் பார்க்க ஒரு வேடிக்கையான காரியம் உண்டு. அது காலை 7 மணிக்கே "சமோசா" ரெடி ஆகி விடும். சாப்பிடுவதற்கு சூடாக சுவையாக இருக்கும். அதை விற்கும் நபர் “கரம் சமோசா” (சூடான சமோசா) என்று கூவிக் கொண்டே விற்பார். இதில் என்ன வேடிக்கையென்றால் காலை 7 மணிக்கு செய்யப்பட்ட சமோசாவை மதியம், மாலை, இரவு என எல்லா நேரங்களிலும் “ கரம் சமோசா, கரம் சமோசா” என்று கூவி விற்பார். இன்னும் வேடிக்கை என்னவென்றால் மறுநாள் காலையிலும் மீதமுள்ள சமோசாவையும் சூடான சமோசா என்று தான் விற்பார். நமது பார்வையில் அந்த சமோசா எப்படியோ, ஆனால் அதை செய்தவர் பார்வையில் எப்போதும் “என் சமோசா நான் செய்யும் போது இருந்ததைப் போல சூடாகத் தான் இருக்கும்” என்று எண்ணுகிறார்.

அப். பவுல் ரோமாபுரியில் உள்ள சபை விசுவாசிகளுக்கு அநேகக் காரியங்களை எழுதுகிறார். அதிலும் ரோமர் 12 ம் அதிகாரத்தில், “ “ஆவியிலே அனலாயிருங்கள்“ என்று எழுதுகிறார். அதாவது ஒரு ஊழியக்காரனாக தன் சபை மக்களுக்கு எப்படிப்பட்ட வார்த்தையை எழுதுகிறார் என்று கவனித்துப் பாருங்கள். பவுலுடைய எண்ணமெல்லாம் தன் மக்கள் எப்போதும் ஆவியில் அனலாயிருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே. அவர்கள் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையில் வளர வேண்டும், துடிப்பாக இருக்க வேண்டும், ஒரே சிந்தையாயிருக்க வேண்டும், உலக ரீதியான ஆசீர்வாதத்தை விட இப்படிப்பட்ட ஆசீர்வாதத்தோடு இருந்து எப்படியாயினும் தேவனுக்கென்று வாழ வேண்டும். தேவனுடைய ஊழியத்தை செய்ய வேண்டும், தேவனுடைய நாமத்தை மகிமைப்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்பதே பவுலின் விருப்பம்.

பிரியமானவர்களே! இதை வாசிக்கின்ற உங்கள் உள்ளம் எப்படி இருக்கிறது? ஒரு சமோசா விற்பவர் தன சமோசா எப்போதும் சூடாக இருக்கும் என நினைக்கிறார் . ஒரு தேவ ஊழியர் தன் சபை மக்கள் ஆவியில் அனலாயிருக்க வேண்டும் என எதிர்பார்க்கிறார் . இன்று கிறிஸ்துவை உடைய கிறிஸ்தவர்களாகிய நாம் எப்போதும் அனலைப் போல இருக்க வேண்டும். அதாவது நாம் எப்போதும் பேசுவதில் சிந்திப்பதில் செயல்படுவதில் மற்றவர்களுக்கு முன்மாதிரியாக இருக்க வேண்டும். எந்த பிரச்சனையையும் கண்டு சோர்வடைந்து ஒரு ஓரத்தில் உட்கார்ந்து விடக்கூடாது. தேவன் உங்களைத் தெரிந்து கொண்ட நாளில் எப்படி அன்பு கூர்ந்தாரோ, அதே போல் தான் இன்றும் அன்பு கூருகிறார். ஆகவே தேவனுக்காக எப்போதும் நிற்போம்! ஓடுவோம்! ஓடிக்கொண்டே இருப்போம்! செயல்பட்டுக் கொண்டேயிருப்போம்! ஆமென்.

"I Am the Good Shepherd" Day-3

"And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away" (1 Peter 5:4).

Many Americans will never forget the newscast from Washington, D.C., after an Air Florida plane crashed into the Potomac River in 1982. Millions heard the reports of a courageous young man saving others as he lost his own life. 

Each time the helicopter sent the lifeline his way, he would pass it to someone else. No doubt he knew he could not hold on any longer as he passed the line to the last person. This man's death, as a result of rescuing others instead of saving himself, was heroic—the result of a tragic accident.

Jesus' sacrifice for others was no accident. He said, "I lay down my life for the sheep" (John 10:15). He came from heaven so He could die for His sheep—every person who calls upon His name.

It was not by chance that Jesus came to earth, took on human form, and gave His life so we might be saved. He says:

       "No one takes [my life] from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again." (John 10:18)

Give thanks today for Jesus' perfect sacrifice through which the children of God are rescued from sin and death and given eternal life.

Prayer: Father, thank You for sacrificing Your Son, Jesus Christ, so I might live eternally with You. Help me to share Your Truth with others. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

கேள்வி கேட்காத கீழ்ப்படிதல்

"கேள்வி கேட்காத கீழ்ப்படிதல்"

“... நான் என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி சகலமும் செய்தேன்.” - உபாகமம் 26:14

மிகப் பெரிய செல்வந்தர் ஒருவர் “வேலைக்கு ஆட்கள் தேவை” என்று விளம்பரம் செய்திருந்தார். இளைஞர்கள் பலரும் விளம்பரத்தைக் கண்டு உற்சாகமாய் வந்தனர். இரண்டு நாள் அவர் சொன்ன வேலையைச் செய்ததும், மீண்டும் வருவதையே நிறுத்திக் கொண்டனர். வந்த ஒருவராகிலும் வேலையில் நிலைக்கவில்லை. இறுதியில் ஒரு வாலிபன் வேலைக்கு வந்தான். அவனிடம் அந்த செல்வந்தர் அங்கு கிடந்த ஜல்லி கற்களை எடுத்து சற்று தொலைவில் போய்க் கொட்டச் சொன்னார். இப்படி ஒரு வாரம் முழுவதும் பலவிதமான வேலைகளைச் சொன்னார். எதிர்பேச்சு பேசாமல் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளுக்கு கீழ்ப்படிந்து வேலையையும் செய்து அந்த வாரத்தின் கூலியும் பெற்றான். ஞாயிறு விடுமுறை முடிந்து திங்கட்கிழமை வேலைக்கு வந்தவனைக் கண்டு அதிர்ச்சியடைந்த எஜமானன், ஏன் எதற்கு என்று எந்தக் கேள்வியுமின்றி எஜமானின் கட்டளைக்கு அப்படியே உண்மையாய் கீழ்ப்படிந்த வாலிபனுக்கு அவன் படிப்பிற்கும் திறமைக்கும் ஏற்ற உயர்ந்த வேலையைக் கொடுத்து, இரகசியம் காக்கவும் அவனை நியமித்தார். அவன் உயிருள்ளவரை அவருடைய குடும்பத்தாருக்கு மெய்க்காப்பாளனாக இருந்தான்.   

“என் வீட்டில் எங்கும் உண்மையுள்ளவன்” என்று கர்த்தரே மோசேயைக் குறித்து சாட்சி சொல்லியிருந்தால் அவனின் வாழ்க்கை எப்படிப்பட்டதாக காணப்பட்டிருக்கும். ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தை கட்டும்படியாக தேவன் தன்னுடைய திட்டங்களை, அதற்குரிய வழிமுறைகளையும் சொல்லும்போது, கவனமாய் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, அதில் தன்னுடைய சுய ஞானம் ஒன்றையும் வெளிப்படுத்தாமல், தனக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட பொறுப்புகளை தட்டிக்கழிக்காமல் தேவ சத்தத்திற்கு கீழ்ப்படிந்தவனாக உண்மையாய் செய்து முடித்தான்.

 பிரியமானவர்களே, நமது தனிப்பட்ட அந்தரங்க வாழ்வில் நாம் தேவனுக்கு கீழ்ப்படிகிறோமா? வேதத்தில் அவர் கட்டளையிட்ட காரியம் ஒவ்வொன்றையும் நிறைவேற்ற பிரயாசப்படுகிறோமா? கேள்வி கேட்காமல், அவருடைய சித்தத்தைச் செய்ய விரும்புபவர்களையே தேவன் தேடுகிறார். அப்படி கீழ்ப்படியும்போது அநேகருக்கு பிரயோஜனமுள்ள ஜீவ ஊற்றாக நம் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் அவர் நிச்சயமாகவே மாற்ற வல்லவராக இருக்கிறார். ஒருவேளை ஆலயத்தில் ஒரு சிறு வேலையைச் செய்யும்படி தேவன் உங்களை அழைத்திருக்கலாம், அதில் நீங்கள் கேள்வி எதுவும் கேட்காமல், எனக்கு இருக்கும் படிப்புக்கும், தாலந்துக்கும் ஏற்ற வேலையா? என்று கேள்வி கேட்காமல், உத்தமமாக அதைச் செய்யும் போது, உங்கள் உண்மையை காண்கின்ற தேவன் உங்களை அநேகத்திற்கு பொறுப்புள்ளவராக மாற்றுவார். சிறு காரியத்திலேயே முறுமுறுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தால், யார் உங்களை நம்பி ஒரு வேலையைக் கொடுக்க முடியும்? கீழ்ப்படியில் கால் வைத்தால்தான் மேல்படிக்குச் செல்ல முடியும். நாம் அவர் சத்தத்திற்கு செவிகொடுத்து கேள்வி கேட்காமல், அவருடைய சித்தத்தை நிறைவேற்றினால், நிச்சயமாகவே நம்மையும் உயர்த்துவார்.

"I Am the Door" Day-2

"I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture" (John 10:9).

At the turn of the twentieth century, Sir George Adam Smith, a prominent British visitor to the Syrian hills, watched with fascination one evening as shepherds drove their sheep into the sheepfold. 

He noticed that the fold was no more than a simple four-wall enclosure with only one opening—no door and no gate. He asked the shepherd: "How can you ensure the sheep will not wander off at night? And what about the wild beasts—will they not come and attack these helpless sheep?"

"No," was the shepherd's reply, "because I am the one whose body blocks the opening at night. I lie down across this opening; no sheep can get out without going over me, and no thief or wolf can get in except over my body."

In John 10, Jesus says:

        "I am the gate for the sheep. . . . whoever enters through me will be saved. . . . The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:7, 9-10)

Only Jesus can save us from sin. Nobody opens heaven's door except the one who is the door, Christ Jesus. The moment a person prays the following prayer, Jesus opens heaven's door: "Lord, You are the Son of God. In You and You alone, I find eternal security. To You and You alone, I surrender my life. I repent of my sins. Please forgive me."

There is no discrimination—no one is refused. Our loving heavenly Father will welcome us with words of love and acceptance: "Come right in. I have been waiting for you, and I am so glad you have come."

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my eternal security. Thank You for Your love, acceptance, guidance, and protection. Please forgive my sins and lead me in Your ways. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“ஒருவன் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள்ளிருந்தால் புதுச்சிருஷ்டியாயிருக்கிறான்; பழையவைகள் ஒழிந்து போயின; எல்லாம் புதிதாயின” – 2 கொரி. 5:17   

ஸ்காட்லாந்து தேசத்தில் பழமையான ஆலயம் ஒன்று இருந்தது. பார்ப்பதற்கு அழகா Super -ஆகவும் இருந்தது. ஆனால் ஒரு சிலர்தான் இந்த ஆலயத்திற்கு வருவாங்க. பெஞ்ச் மற்றும் தரையில் இருக்கும் தூசியை துடைத்து சுத்தம் செய்து prayer நடத்தி விட்டு செல்வார்கள். ஆனால் உயரத்தில் மாட்டி இருந்த படத்தை எடுத்து யாருமே சுத்தம் செய்ததில்லை. அது என்ன படம் என்று கூட தெரியாத அளவிற்கு தூசியால் மூடி இருந்ததால் அந்தப் படத்தை எடுத்து சுத்தம் பண்ணுவது கடினமான வேலை என்று நினைத்து யாருமே அதைச் செய்யவில்லை. அந்த நேரத்தில் ஒரு Team ஆலயங்களுக்கு சென்று ஒரு வாரம் தங்கியிருந்து ஆலயம் முழுவதையும் சுத்தம் செய்யத் தீர்மானித்தனர். மேலே இருந்த படத்தைப் பார்த்து இந்தப் படத்தை எல்லாம் எடுத்து கீழே போட்டு விடலாம் என்று சொன்னபோது இன்னொருவர் அது என்ன படம் என்று பார்ப்போம் என்று சொல்லி தூசியைத் தட்டி தண்ணீரால் சுத்தம் செய்து, துணியை வைத்து துடைத்து விட்டுப் பார்த்தால் அழகான படமாக காட்சியளித்தது. என்ன படம் என்று பார்க்கும் போது இயேசப்பா கடைசியாக சீஷர்களுக்கு அப்பம் மற்றும் திராட்சரசம் கொடுத்த படம். இந்தப் படத்தை யார் வரைந்தது என்று பார்த்த போது உலகப் புகழ் பெற்ற மைக்கேல் ஏஞ்சலோ வரைந்த படம் என்று அறிந்து எல்லாரும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு போனார்கள். இது எவ்வளவு விலை உயர்ந்தது. இது 50 கோடிக்குக் கூடப் போகும். இது ரொம்ப முக்கியமானது என்று அதை ஆலயத்தில் மாட்டி வைத்தார்களாம்.

நமக்குள்ளேயும் விலையுர்ந்த அழியாத ஆத்துமா இருக்கிறது. பொய் சொல்வது, திருடுவது, கெட்டவார்த்தை பேசுவது, பெருமை, வசனத்திற்கு கீழ்ப்படியாதது... இப்படிப்பட்ட பாவ தூசிகள் படிந்து அழகான ஆத்துமாவை மறைத்து வைத்து விடுகிறது. இதற்காகத் தான் இயேசுகிறிஸ்து இந்த பூமிக்கு வந்து, இரத்தம் சிந்தி மரித்தார். அவருடைய இரத்தம்தான் பாவ அழுக்கை கழுவி ஆத்துமாவை சுத்தமாக்கி, நம்மை புது சிருஷ்டியாய் மாற்றுகிறது. அதுமட்டுமல்ல... இயேசுவின் இரத்தத்தால் கழுவப்படும்போது விலையேறப் பெற்றவர்களாய் நாம் மாறிவிடுகிறோம்.

"Jesus Is the Way and the Truth and the Life" Day-1

"The fear of the LORD leads to life; then one rests content, untouched by trouble" (Proverbs 19:23).

Our world is filled with empty promises; anyone can claim anything. But only Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God. The disciples had left everything to follow Jesus of Nazareth, who claimed to be the anointed Son of God. They were excited and thrilled with the miracles they witnessed. They were impressed by His exercise of spiritual authority. His teaching encouraged them. And now Jesus was telling them of His death and that one of them would betray Him.  

Jesus knew the disciples were confused and discouraged. Therefore, He comforted them with these words, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me" (John 14:1).  

If you feel that the frenzy of the world is consuming you, remember that you have a Savior who loves you and who will fight for you. Don't become worried and anxious. Jesus is near to you. He has promised never to leave you, no matter how dark life seems. Don't let sorrows and suffering take joy from you. Jesus has a place for you with your name written over it. "My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?" (John 14:2).

No matter how many times you see the hand of God working in your life or experience His provision, it is easy to lose sight of God's love and faithfulness. If you only focus on your current difficulty or discouragement, you may lose sight of His blessings and promises.

Don't become discouraged. Despondency says things are hopeless and life is aimless. Jesus says there is hope beyond suffering and the grave. There is a way out of all difficulties. Jesus is the way, the Truth, and the life (see John 14:6). He will never let you down. He will not forsake you.

Prayer: Father, thank You for sending Your Son to secure a place for me in Your house. Forgive me for focusing on my difficulties rather than on my overwhelming blessings in Christ. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"மனுஷனுக்கு வாயை உண்டாக்கினவர் யார்?... கர்த்தராகிய நான் அல்லவா? ஆதலால், நீ போ; நான் உன் வாயோடே இருந்து, நீ பேசவேண்டியதை உனக்குப் போதிப்பேன் என்றார்." யாத்திராகமம் 4:11–12

நண்பர் ஒருவர் தன் அனுபவத்தை இவ்வாறு கூறினார். ரேடியோவில் நடக்கவிருந்த பேட்டிக்காக வர இருந்த தொலைபேசியின் அழைப்பிற்காக என் நரம்புகள் படபடக்கக் காத்திருந்தேன். அந்த பேட்டியின் காட்சி அமைப்பாளர், என்ன கேள்விகள் கேட்கப் போகிறாரோவென்றும், நான் அதற்கு என்ன விதமாக பதிலளிக்கப்போவது என்றும் சிந்தித்தேன். “கர்த்தாவே, எழுதுவதில் நான் திறமையுள்ளவனாக இருக்கிறேன். ஆனால் மோசேயைப் போல பேசுவதற்கு தயக்கப்படுகிறேன். பேசுவதற்கான வார்த்தைகளை நீரே தரவேண்டுமென்று நம்புகிறேன்” என்று நான் ஜெபித்தேன்.

எகிப்தின் அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து தேவனுடைய ஜனங்களை மீட்டு, வாக்குத்தத்தம் பண்ணப்பட்ட தேசத்திற்கு அழைத்துச் சென்ற மோசேயோடு நான் என்னை ஒப்பிடவில்லை. இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களை தலைமை தாங்கி நடத்திச் செல்ல மிகவும் தயக்கமடைந்த மோசேக்கு, இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் அவனுக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பார்கள் என்ற நிச்சயத்தை தேவன் உறுதிப்படுத்தத் தேவை இருந்தது. மேய்ப்பனின் கோலை பாம்பாக்கினது போல அநேக அடையாளங்களை தேவன் அவனுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினார் (யாத். 4:3). ஆயினும், அவன் திக்குவாயனும், மந்தநாவு உடையவன் என்று கூறி அந்த தலைமைப் பொறுப்பை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள மோசே தயங்கினான். ஆகவே தேவன், அவர் கர்த்தர் என்றும், அவன் பேசுவதற்கு அவர் உதவிசெய்ய வல்லவரென்றும் நினைவுபடுத்தினார். அவனது “வாயோடுகூட இருப்பேன்” என்று கூறினார்.

“The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out”  (Proverbs 20:5 NIV).

👉 "If you want your prayers to be effective, you need to learn to be a good listener. Why? Because prayer is a conversation. While you may not hear God’s voice when you pray, he has still given you the Holy Spirit and Scripture to know how he wants you to live and to encourage you. But most of us are too busy, and we talk too much to really hear and understand what God—and others—may be trying to tell us. You may think you’re already a good listener."

👉 "But there’s a big difference between hearing and listening! 👉 "Hearing is simply the vibrations that take place in your ear." 

👉 "Listening is how you decode those vibrations in your brain."

Many times I’ve heard my wife, my kids, or someone at church say something—but I didn’t listen.

👉 Listening is a skill. And if you’re going to be effective in your prayer life—and in all your relationships—you must develop it. Here are four tips to become a better listener.

👉 1. Withhold judgment and criticism from the start.

Don’t evaluate until you’ve heard and comprehended it all. I’ll admit that this isn’t natural. When someone else is talking and you hear something you disagree with, you’re tempted to say, “Time out! Stop right there! Let’s deal with this.” And you never get any further. But you need to hear the person out. Proverbs 18:13says, “To answer before listening—that is folly and shame” (NIV).

👉 2. Keep calm. Don’t become defensive. The Bible says in Proverbs 19:11, “A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense” (NIV). If you’re patient, you’re wise. You need to be patient with people who are less mature and those who misjudge. You need to remain calm.

👉 3. Be an active listener.

You become a good listener by asking creative questions. Proverbs 20:5 says, “The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out” (NIV). This verse says the real meaning of people is down inside of them. A person of understanding will be able to draw others out with questions.

👉 4. Paraphrase and summarize.

To be a good listener you must be able to tell a person what they’ve just told you before you talk about what you need to talk about. Before you share your side of the story, you need to let the other person know you understand where he or she is coming from. Paraphrase what they’ve said back to them.

"நம் பிள்ளைகளுக்காக ஜெபிப்போம்"

"நம் பிள்ளைகளுக்காக ஜெபிப்போம்" 

"இயேசு அவர்கள் முகமாய்த் திரும்பி: எருசலேமின் குமாரத்திகளே, நீங்கள் எனக்காக அழாமல், உங்களுக்காகவும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்காகவும் அழுங்கள்." - (லூக்கா 23:28).

ஒவ்வொரு குடும்பமும் தேவனுடைய அநாதி திட்டத்தின்படி உருவாக்கப்பட்ட ஒன்றாகும். குடும்பத்திலுள்ள பிள்ளைகள் கர்த்தரால் வரும் சுதந்தரமாய் இருக்கிறார்கள். பிள்ளைகளை அதிகமாய் நேசிக்கும் நம் ஆண்டவர் ஒவ்வொரு பிள்ளையின் மேலும் அதிக கரிசனை உள்ளவராக இருக்கிறார்.

இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவிடம் ஆசீர்வாதத்தை பொறும்படி தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளை கொண்ட வந்த பெற்றோரை சீஷர்கள் அதட்டினர். ஆனால் இயேசுவோ அவர்ளை தடைபண்ண வேண்டாம் என்று சொல்லி அவர்களை அணைத்து முத்தமிட்டார்.

உலகத்தார் சிறுபிள்ளைகளை அலட்சியப்படுத்தினாலும் பிள்ளைகளின் இருதயத்தை அறிந்த தேவன் பெருந்திரள் கூட்ட ஜனங்களுக்கு முன்பாக ஒரு பிள்ளையை தூக்கி நீங்கள் மனந்திரும்பி இந்தப் பிள்ளைகளைப் போலாகாவிட்டால், பரலோக ராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிக்க முடியாது என்று பிள்ளைகளை எடுத்துக் காட்டாக நிறுத்தினார்.

வேதத்திலே சிறுபிள்ளைகள் மூலம் அற்புதம், சிறு பிள்ளைகள் பெற்ற சுகம், பெற்றோருக்கு பிள்ளைகளை வளர்க்க ஆலோசனைகள் என்று அநேக சம்பவங்கள் வேதம் முழுவதும் முத்து சிதறல்களைப் போல சிதறி கிடக்கின்றன.

குறிப்பாக பிள்ளைகளுக்காக வேண்டுதல் செய்த அநேக பெற்றோரைக் குறித்து நாம் வாசிக்க முடியும். தண்ணீரின்றி தன் பிள்ளை சாவதை பார்க்க முடியாமல் கதறிய ஆகார், தன் வயிற்றிலிருந்த இரட்டைப் பிள்ளைகளைக் குறித்து தேவனிடம் விசாரித்த ரெபேக்காள், தன் பிள்ளைகளை ஆசீர்வதித்த யாக்கோபு, பிறக்கப் போகிற பிள்ளையை வளர்க்க கற்றுக் கொடுக்கும்படி ஜெபித்த மனோவா, மலடியான தனக்கு பிள்ளை வேண்டி கண்ணீர் வடித்த அன்னாள், தன் பிள்ளையின் உயிருக்காக உபவாசித்து இரா முழுவதும், தரையிலே விழுந்து கிடந்த தாவீது, தன்னுடைய பிள்ளைகளின் பாவத்திற்காக சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளை செலுத்தின யோபு, தன் மகளுக்காக இயேசுவின் பாதத்தில் விழுந்து மன்றாடின யவீரு, பிசாசினால் கொடிய வேதனைப்பட்ட தன் பிள்ளைக்காக நாய்க்குட்டியைப் போல தன்னை தாழ்த்தின கானானிய ஸ்திரீ என பிள்ளைகளுக்காக மன்றாடின இன்னும் பல பெற்றோரைக் குறித்து வேதத்தில் நாம் வாசிக்கிறோம். நாம் நம் பிள்ளைகளுக்காக ஜெபிக்கிறோமா?

தாயின் கர்ப்பதில் இருக்கும்போதே நாம் நம் பிள்ளைகளுக்காக ஜெபிக்க வேண்டியது அவசியம். பிள்ளைகளின் இரட்சிப்பிற்காக, சாட்சியான வாழ்க்கைக்காக நாம் தேவனிடம் அன்றாடம் மன்றாட வேண்டும். அவர்களுக்கு சாப்பாடு ஊட்டும்போதும், தூங்க வைக்கும்போதும், அவர்களுக்கு ஜெபிக்க கற்றுக் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். அவ்வாறு செய்யும்போது அவர்கள் வாலிபர்களாகும்போது, அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை விட்டு பின்வாங்கிப் போய் விடுவார்களோ என்று நாம் கண்ணீர் விட வேண்டிய அவசியம் இராது.

வாலிப பிள்ளைகளுக்கு ஏற்றத்துணை கிடைக்கும்படியாகவும், வாலிப நாட்களில் அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை பற்றிக் கொள்ளும்படியாகவும் நாம் ஜெபிக்க வேண்டும். சில வாலிப பிள்ளைகளுக்கு அவர்கள் வாலிப வயதை அடையும்போது சில அரிய நோய்கள் அவர்களை தாக்க வாய்ப்புள்ளது. சிறுவயதில் நல்ல சுகமாய் இருக்கும் பிள்ளைகள், வாலிப வயதில் சில வியாதிகள் தாக்கும்போது, சில வியாதிகள் குணமடையக் கூடியவை, சில வாழ்க்கை முழுவதும் கஷ்டப்பட வைக்கும் வியாதிகளாய் இருக்கக்கூடும். அதுப் போன்ற தலைமுறையாக வரும் வியாதிகள் நம் பிள்ளைகளை தாக்காதபடி கர்த்தரிடம் நாம் அவர்கள் சிறுவயதாயிருக்கும்போதே அவர்களுக்காக பாரப்பட்டு ஜெபிக்க வேண்டும்.

கர்த்தருக்கு பயப்படுதலை கற்றுக் கொண்ட பிள்ளைகள் தங்கள் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் கர்த்தருக்காக வாழ்வார்கள். அப்படிப்பட்ட பிள்ளைகளாக நம் பிள்ளைகள் வாழும்படியாக ஜெபிக்க வேண்டியது பெற்றோராகிய நம் ஒவ்வொருவரின் கடமையாகும்.

ஜெபிப்போம், ஜெயத்தை பெறுவோம். ஆமென்.

"I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me."

👉 When we are offended by another person, we have four options: 

we can pout, pity ourselves, take it out on someone else or pray.

👉 When we pout, we pollute ourselves with the poison of displeasure. It’s like pouring a teaspoonful of black dye into a glass of pure water and watching the darkness take over. It ruins the beauty that light brings to life. Pouting brings distress into our lives - not deliverance.

👉 When we pity ourselves, we are simply poisoning ourselves. Self-pity distorts our thinking, disrupts our work, disturbs our body and even disfigures our face with wrinkles. It depresses our friends, demoralizes our life and above all, dishonors our Lord.

👉 When we take our hurt out on others, it not only pains them, but will come right back to pain us as well - and eventually punish us. Revenge is like a boomerang: Although it flies into the path of the other person, it will eventually come back to attack us in the process. It can hit the one who threw it with the heaviest blow.

👉 When we pray, we protect ourselves and place the responsibility for “settling the score” up to God. We are God’s children and what offends us offends Him; what hurts us will hurt Him; and what affects us has already affected Him. He understands our pain and our sorrow.

The Psalmist expresses this in a beautiful way: “I cried unto the Lord, and He heard me.” God will always take care of us, remove the sadness from our hearts and bring His healing. When we pray He makes things right!

Prayer: Father, when we have been injured by the ways and words of others, may we look to You for Your healing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

"திடநம்பிக்கை"

"கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிறவனுக்குத் திடநம்பிக்கை உண்டு; அவன் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் அடைக்கலம் கிடைக்கும்" (நீதிமொழிகள் 14:26)

கர்த்தருக்கு பயப்படும் பயம் ஒருவருக்கு இருக்கும்போது, அவர் எதை குறித்தும் கவலைப்படாமல் ஆபத்தைக்கண்டு பயப்படாமல் அமைதியாக இருக்க முடியும். ஏனென்றால் கர்த்தர் எல்லா சூழ்நிலையிலும் தங்களை காத்துக் கொள்வார் என்கிற நம்பிக்கை இருப்பதால்!.

ஒரு மனிதனுக்கு கர்த்தருக்கு பயப்படும் பயம் இல்லாமல் போகுமானால் அவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்கு ஒருவேளை அடைக்கலம் இல்லாமற் போகலாம். கர்த்தருக்கு பயப்படுவது நம்முடைய சந்ததிக்கே பயனளிக்குமென்றால் நாம் எததனையாய் கர்த்தருக்கு பயப்பட வேண்டும்? ஆனால் கர்த்தருக்கு பயப்படும் பயம் பெற்றோராகிய நம்மில் எத்தனை பேருக்கு இருக்கிறது? இருக்குமென்றால் குடும்பங்களில் எத்தனை சந்தோஷம் இருக்கும்?.

நோவாவை கர்த்தர் பேழையை கட்டச் சொல்லி, அவர் அதை முடித்தப்பிறகு, கர்த்தருக்கு பயந்த நோவாவை மாத்திரம் அல்ல, அவருடைய மூன்று பிள்ளைகள், அவர்களது மனைவிமார்களையும் கர்த்தர் பேழைக்குள் வரச்செய்து காப்பாற்றினார். சோதோம் கொமாரா தேசங்களை கர்த்தர் அழிக்க நினைத்தபோது, கர்த்தருக்கு பயந்த லோத்துவையும், மனைவியயையும், அவருடைய பிள்ளைகளையும் தேசத்துக்கு வெளியே கொண்டு வந்து காப்பாற்றினார். லோத்துவின் மனைவி பின்னிட்டு பார்த்து உப்புத்தூணாய் மாறினாள்.

கர்த்தருக்கு பயப்படுபவனுக்கு திடநம்பிக்கை உண்டு. என் தேவன் எல்லாவற்றையும் பார்த்துக்கொள்வார் என்று. அந்த திட நம்பிக்கை என் பிள்ளைகளையும் கர்த்தர் விடமாட்டார், அவர்களையும் காத்துக்கொள்வார். அவர்களையும் பொறுப்பெடுத்துக் கொள்வார் என்ற நம்பிக்கை இருக்கும்.

நாம் கர்த்தருக்கு பயப்படுகிறவர்களானால், ஒன்றை நாம் அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும், நாம் கர்த்தரோடு, பாவத்திற்கு விலகி ஜீவக்கும்போது, நம் பிள்ளைகளை கர்த்தர் ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறார், அவர்களுக்கும் அடைக்கலம் கிடைக்கும். இது எத்தனை பெரிய ஆசீர்வாதம்! ஆபிரகாமின் சந்ததியை என்றென்றும் ஆசீர்வதித்து, இந்த நாள் வரை அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் நாம் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுகிறோமே! இதுதான் கர்த்தரை தேடுகிறவர்களுக்கும், பயப்படுகிறவர்களுக்கும் கிடைக்கும் பாக்கியம்! ஆமென் அல்லேலூயா!.

ஜெபம்: எங்கள் அன்பின் பரலோக தகப்பனே, நாங்கள் எங்கள் பிள்ளைகளை குறித்து அதிக கவலைப்பட்டாலும், நாங்கள் உமக்கு பயப்படுகிறவர்களாயிருந்தால் எங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் அடைக்கலம் கிடைக்கும் என்று உம்முடைய வார்த்தைகள் சொல்லுகிறபடியால், உமக்கு பயப்படும் பயத்தை எங்களுக்கு போதித்து வழிநடத்தும். எங்கள் பிள்ளைகளை ஆசீர்வதித்தருளும். இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் ஜீவனுள்ள நாமத்தில் ஜெபிக்கிறோம் நல்ல தகப்பனே ஆமென்.

How happy are those who fear the Lord—all who follow his ways! You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How happy you will be! How rich your life!(Psalms 128:1-2 (NLT))

Where does our happiness come from?

I can honestly say that I never thought about my happiness coming from fear. I bet you probably didn’t either. If you stop to think about this, it makes perfect sense.

Let’s look at it from a few different perspectives, shall we?

Think about your one worldly fear that bothers you the most. For some, it may be heights. For others, it may be water. You do whatever you have to in order to avoid the thing that you are fearful of. You are happy as long as you avoid what you fear. You respect the thing that brings fear to you and you desire to avoid what brings you fear. You have established ways to avoid this and these ways make you happy.

Now, think about your relationship to your earthly father. I know that not all earthly fathers are good examples of what a father should be. I hope that yours was. You love your father and you know that your father loves you. You still know that if you do something terrible, your father would punish you. Hopefully, you realized this as a fear and lived within godly ways with you family. Your fear of punishment hopefully kept you in a place where you were happy. Hopefully, you were not one who rebelled and lived in anger and rage.

In both of these examples, boundaries were set. If you stayed within the boundaries, you enjoyed the fruit of your labor. You enjoyed the happiness within the safety of those boundaries. You felt the happiness and the richness that life can bring.

Think about your relationship with the Lord. Hopefully you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God loves you. Hopefully, you can say with no hesitation that you love God. His ways are true. His ways are good. His ways are righteous. When you follow His ways, you are inside boundaries that God has defined. These boundaries keep you safe. True happiness and peace can be found inside these boundaries. These boundaries, like the other boundaries that I referred to, are not there to keep you from having fun. They are there to keep you safe. They are there to define the safe areas where you can go. Anything outside of those safe areas can result in consequences that would be extremely bad. Just like a father who would punish you for taking the car when you didn’t have permission to, God will allow the physical consequences of your actions to apply to your lives.

என்னுடைய உத்தியோகத்தின் ஆரம்ப நாட்களில் நான் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த வேலையை ஒரு சேவையாகவே கருதினேன். அப்பொழுது சம்பள உயர்வுடன் கூடிய ஒரு வேலையை வேறு ஒரு நிறுவணம் எனக்கு வழங்கியது. அந்த வேலையின் மூலம் நிச்சயமாக என்னுடைய பொருளாதார ரீதியிலே நான் பயன் பெறலாம். ஆனால் ஒரு பிரச்சனை. நான் வேறு வேலை தேடவில்லை, ஏனெனில் நான் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த வேலையை நான் மிகவும் நேசித்தேன். அதையும் தாண்டி அது என் அழைப்பாக உருவாகிக் கொண்டிருந்தது.

ஆனால் பணம்…  

எழுபது வயதை கடந்த என் தகப்பனாரை தொலைப்பேசியில் அழைத்து நிலைமையை விவரித்தேன். பலவீனமான நேரத்தில் கூர்மையாக இருந்த மூளையின் வேகம் இன்று குறைந்திருந்தாலும், சட்டென்று தெளிவான ஒரு பதில் அவரிடமிருந்து வந்தது. அதாவது, “பணத்தை பற்றி எண்ணாதே. அப்பொழுது நீ என்ன முடிவெடுப்பாய்?”

ஒரு நொடியிலே, என் மனம் ஒரு முடிவுக்கு வந்தது. எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்தமான வேலையை விடுவதற்கு பணம் மட்டுமே காரணமாக இருந்திருக்கும்! நன்றி அப்பா!

மலைப் பிரசங்கத்தின் பெரும்பாலான பகுதியை இயேசு பணத்தையும், அதன் மேல் உள்ள நம்முடைய வாஞ்சையை குறித்தும் பிரசங்கித்தார். ஐஸ்வரியத்தை திரட்டுவதைக் குறித்து ஜெபிக்க கற்றுக்கொடுக்காமல், “வேண்டிய ஆகாரத்தை இன்று எங்களுக்குத் தாரும்” (மத். 6:11), என்று ஜெபிக்கக் கற்றுக் கொடுத்தார். பூமியிலே பொக்கிஷங்கள் சேர்த்து வைப்­­பதைக் குறித்து அவர் எச்சரித்தார். அவருடைய படைப்பின் மேல் அவர் எவ்வளவு அக்கறை உள்ளவராய் இருக்கிறார் என்பதை பறவைகள் மற்றும் பூக்கள் மூலம் விவரித்தார் (வச. 19-31). “முதலாவது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தையும் அவருடைய நீதியையும் தேடுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது இவைகளெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குக்கூடக் கொடுக்கப்படும்” (வச. 33) என்று இயேசு கூறினார்.

பணம் முக்கியமானது தான். ஆனால் நம்முடைய முடிவுகளைப் பணம் தீர்மானம் செய்யக் கூடாது. கடினமான நேரங்களும், பெரிய தீர்மானங்களும் நம்முடைய விசுவாசத்திலே நாம் வளருவதற்கான சந்தர்பங்களாகும். நம்முடைய பரம பிதா நம்மை விசாரிக்கிறவராய் இருக்கிறார்.

Two years later, the artist invited the church trustees to his studio where he unveiled his work. To their astonishment, he had re-created the stained-glass window—and the restored window looked even more beautiful than the original."

"Most of us have experienced a blessing in the midst of a blasting storm. If you have been in this situation—or if you are there now—then you may not yet have experienced God’s restoration work. எபேசியர் 4:3

மூன்று பெரிய மாமிசம் உண்ணும் கொடிய விலங்குகள் ஒன்றையொன்று கட்டித் தழுவி விளையாடுவதைக் காண்பது அரிதான ஒன்று. ஆனால் சரியாகச் சொல்ல வேண்டுமானால், ஜார்ஜியாவில் (Georgia) உள்ள ஒரு விலங்குகள் சரணாலயத்தில் இது தான் தினமும் நடக்கிறது. கொடுமைப்படுத்தப்பட்டு சரியான கவனிப்பின்றி இருந்த ஒரு சிங்கம், ஒரு வங்காள புலி (Bengal Tiger) மற்றும் கருங்கரடி ஆகியவை நோவாவின் பேழை விலங்குகள் சரணாலயத்தால் 2001ஆம் ஆண்டு மீட்கப்பட்டது. “நாங்கள் அவைகளை பிரித்திருக்கலாம், ஆனால் அவை ஒரு குடும்பம் போல காணப்பட்டதால் அவைகளை பிரிக்காமல் ஒன்றாக வைத்திருக்க முடிவு செய்தோம்” என்று அச்சரணாலயத்தின் துணை இயக்குனர் கூறினார். தாங்கள் கொடுமை படுத்தபட்ட நாட்களில் அம்மூன்று விலங்குகளும் ஒருவரில் ஒருவர் ஆறுதலடைந்ததால், அவர்களுக்குள்ள வேறுபாடுகளைக் கடந்து, அவை சமாதானத்தோடு ஒற்றுமையாக வாழ்கின்றன.

ஒற்றுமை என்பது அழகான ஒன்று. ஆனால் ஏபேசு பட்டணத்து விசுவாசிகளுக்கு எழுதிய கடிதத்தில் பவுல் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ள ஒற்றுமை விசேஷமானது. கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய சரீரத்தின் அவையவங்களாக அழைக்கப்பட்ட அழைப்பிற்கேற்ப வாழும் படியாக எபேசு விசுவாசிகளை அவர் உற்சாகப்படுத்துகிறார் (எபே. 4:4-5). மனத்தாழ்மை, சாந்தம் மற்றும் பொறுமையிலே அவர்கள் வளரும் பொழுது, பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் வல்லமையினாலே அவர்கள் ஒற்றுமையாய் வாழ்வார்கள். இந்த சுபாவங்கள், நம் அனைவருக்கும் பொதுவான இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் “அன்பினால் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் தாங்கி” வாழ வழி செய்கிறது. வேறுபாடுகள் இருப்பினும், நம்முடைய இரட்சகரின் மரணத்தின் மூலம் நாம் தேவனோடு ஒப்புரவாக்கப்பட்டு, நம் வாழ்வில் நிறைவேறிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் கிரியைகள் மூலம் ஒருவரோடு ஒருவர் ஒப்புரவாக்கப்பட்டு தேவனின் குடும்பத்தில் அவையவங்களாக இணைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம்.

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom” (James 3:13 NIV).

👉 "Have you noticed how common sense isn’t so common? A lot of smart people are not too wise. They may be educated, but they don’t have wisdom. They may have all kinds of degrees, but they’re a washout with relationships."

👉 "James 3:13 says that wisdom is a lifestyle: “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom” (NIV).

👉 "Wisdom has nothing to do with our intelligence. It has everything to do with our relationships and our character. It’s not a matter of what we say with our lips but what we live with our life—not a matter of our words but of our works and not so much our diplomas but our disposition."

👉 "How can you know if you’re wise in the ways you relate to people? The Bible lists the characteristics of wise people in James 3:17:  “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere” (NIV).

👉 “Pure” means uncorrupted and authentic. In 1 John 3:3 this word is used to refer to Christ’s character. It means we have integrity. If we’re wise, we’re not going to lie to others, cheat them, manipulate them, or be deceitful."

👉 "All relationships are built on trust and respect. If we’re not honest, who’s going to trust us? Who’s going to respect us? We must have integrity in our life."

👉 “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely” (Proverbs 10:9 NIV).They’re not afraid of being found out because they don’t say one thing to one group and another thing to another group. Someone said, “No one has a good enough memory to be a habitual liar.” Eventually that person is going to slip up. But if we’ve got integrity, we can walk securely and confidently in our relationships because we know we’re not putting people on."

👉 "Wise people do not compromise their integrity, because they know that having integrity is the only way to maintain healthy relationships."

“நீங்கள் எனக்குத் தீமைசெய்ய நினைத்தீர்கள்; தேவனோ,… வெகு ஜனங்களை உயிரோடே காக்கும்படிக்கு, அதை நன்மையாக முடியப்பண்ணினார்.” - ஆதியாகமம் 50:20

தேவன் நமக்கென வைத்திருக்கும் திட்டத்தை ஒரு மனிதராலும் குலைத்திட முடியாது! அதற்கு மாறாக யார் என்ன தீமை செய்தாலும் அவை யாவற்றையும் நம்முடைய நன்மைக்காகவே தேவன் நடத்தி முடிப்பார் என்பதை விசுவாசிக்கிறீர்களா? இதற்கு யோசேப்பின் வாழ்வு ஒரு சவால்!

“யோசேப்பு” என்ற தேவனுக்குப் பயந்த வாலிபனை எகிப்தின் இரண்டாம் அதிபதியாக நியமிப்பதே தேவனுடைய திட்டம். ஆனால் அவன் மீது அவனுடைய 10 மூத்த சகோதரர்களும் பொறாமை கொண்டு, பகைத்து அவனை அடிமையாக விற்றுப்போட்டார்கள். யோசேப்பு எங்கு கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டான் தெரியுமா? எகிப்திற்கேதான்! இப்போது தேவத்திட்டம் நிறைவேறப்போவதின் துரிதத்தை நாம் காணமுடிகிறதல்லவா? இதுபோலத்தான் உங்கள் மீது யாராவது பொறாமை கொண்டு தூக்கி எறிந்தால்... நீங்கள் எங்கே வரவேண்டுமென்று தேவன் விரும்பினாரோ அந்த இடத்திற்கே வந்து சேர்வீர்கள் என்பதை நன்றாய் மனதில் வைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். ஆகவே அவர்கள் யோசேப்பை தூக்கி எறிந்த சம்பவம் தேவனுடைய திட்டம் நிறைவேறுவதற்கே வழிவகுக்கிறது. யோசேப்பைப் போலவே நாமும் தூக்கி எறிந்த சகோதரர்களை ஒருபோதும் குறை சொல்லக்கூடாது. வேண்டுமானால் தேவதிட்டம் நிறைவேறுவதற்கு அவர்கள் உதவுகின்றபடியால் அவர்களிடம் மிக்க நன்றி என்றே கூறலாம்.

யோசேப்பை தன் இச்சை வலைக்குள் இழுப்பதில் தோல்வியடைந்த போத்திபாரின் மனைவியோ மிகுந்த கோபம் கொண்டாள். அவள் தன் கணவனிடம் யோசேப்பைக் குறித்து வீண்பழி சுமத்தி சிறையில் அடைக்கச் செய்தாள். இவையெல்லாவற்றையும் கவனமாய் கவனித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த தேவன், யோசேப்பு சிறைக்குள் செல்லும் அதே நேரத்தில், பார்வோனின் பானபாத்திரக்காரனையும் சிறைக்குள் வரும்படி செய்தார்! ஆம், இது ஆச்சரியம்! இருவரும் அறிமுகமானார்கள். இதுவே யோசேப்பு பார்வோனின் அரண்மனைக்கு செல்வதற்கு ஒரு நல்ல ஆரம்பமாக அமைந்தது. இதற்கு மாறாக, யோசேப்பு போத்திபாரின் மாளிகையில் பாவத்தை அனுபவித்திருந்தால் பானபாத்திரக்காரனை சந்திப்பது கூடாமல் போயிருக்கும். ஆம், நாமும் இதுபோலவே பிறரால் பொய்யாய் குற்றம் சாட்டப்பட்டு சிறைக்கு சென்றாலும் அங்கேயும் தேவன் நமக்காக ஒரு திட்டத்தை வைத்திருப்பார் என்பதை மறவாதீர்கள். ஆம்! தேவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூருபவர்களின் வாழ்வில் நடக்கும் அனைத்தும் நன்மையே!

“In this way they will know God’s secret, which is Christ himself. He is the key that opens all the hidden treasures of God’s wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:2-3 GNT).

👉 "How do you get wisdom? Do you just decide one day that you’re going to muster up the wisdom you need? Do you make a New Year’s resolution to be wise? No!"

👉 This is the difference between knowledge and wisdom: 

☆ Knowledge comes from education.

☆ Wisdom comes from God.

☆ To get knowledge, you look around.

☆ To get wisdom, you look up.

☆ Knowledge comes from reason.

☆ Wisdom comes from revelation. 

☆ Knowledge is something you learn.              

☆ Wisdom is a gift.

👉 "James 1:5 says,  “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God” (NIV). 

"Wisdom is a gift from God. And he is a generous God. He loves to give gifts to his children. All you have to do is ask!"

"It’s all wrapped up in a person, Jesus Christ. If you want God’s wisdom, you need to get Jesus in your life. You need to invite him into your life and say," 

👉 “Jesus, help people through my hands. Love people with my heart. And put your wisdom in my mind.”

👉 "The first step is to accept salvation through Jesus Christ and invite him into your life. Then, day by day, you continually ask him for wisdom, you make reading God’s Word a priority, and you stay in fellowship with other Christians. Why? Because as iron sharpens iron, a wise friend sharpens another friend. People are wise by the company they keep."

“என்னிடத்தில் நற்கிரியையைச் செய்திருக்கிறாள்” (மத்தேயு 26:10).

"மூத்தவர் கட்டிட கலைஞன், இரண்டாமவர் கணக்காளன், மகள் டாக்டர் என்று தனது பிள்ளைகளைக் குறித்து பெருமையாக பேசிக்கொண்டிருந்தார் ஒருவர். இதைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்த மற்றவர், “உங்கள் இளைய மகன்?” என்று வினாவினார். “ஓ… அவனா… அவன் அவ்வளவாகப் படிக்கமாட்டான். அதனால் அவனைப் போதகருக்குப் படிக்க அனுப்பலாம் என்று யோசிக்கிறேன்” என்றார். இதுதானா மனுஷ நீதி?"

"அன்று மரியாள் குப்பியை உடைத்து பரிமள தைலத்தை ஆண்டவர் பாதத்தில் ஊற்றியபோதும் எதிர் பேச்சுக்கள் எழும்பின. “இந்த விலையேறப் பெற்ற தைலத்தையா இவள் வீணடித்துவிட்டாள்? இதை ஏராளமான பணத்திற்கு விற்று தரித்திரருக்கு கொடுத்திருக்கலாமே” அங்கிருந்த சிலரது கண்ணோட்டம் இது. ஆனால் மரியாளோ, அந்த விலையேறப்பெற்ற தைலத்தை ஆண்டவருக்கே கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்ற ஆவலோடு முழுமனதுடனேயே ஊற்றினாள். தன்னிடமுள்ள திறமையானதை, பெறுமதிப்பு மிக்கதை, ஆண்டவருக்கு அவள் கொடுத்தாள். அவளைக்குறித்து, ‘இந்த சுவிசேஷம் எங்கெல்லாம் பிரசங்கிக்கப்படுகிறதோ, அங்கெல்லாம் இந்தப் பெண் செய்ததும் நினைவுகூரப்படும்’ என்றார் இயேசு. அப்படியே அன்று மரியாள் செய்த இந்த நற்கிரியையை நாம் இன்றும் நினைவு கூருகிறோம் அல்லவா?"

"தாலந்தோ, பணமோ, எதுவோ யார் நமக்குத் தருகிறார். தருகிறவருக்கு முதன்மையானதைக் கொடுக்கவில்லையென்றால் நாம் யார்? முதன்மையானதை முதன்மையானவருக்குக் கொடுக்க நாம் ஆயத்தமா? அது பணமாக, தாலந்துகளாக, எதுவாக இருந்தாலும் சரி, அவற்றில் முதன்மையானதை நாம் தேவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப் பழகிக்கொள்ளுவோம். ஆனால் நாமோ, கிழிந்துவிட்ட தாள் காசுகள் தற்செயலாகக் கிடைத்துவிட்டால், அதை ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை ஆலயத்தில் போடுவதற்காக பத்திரப்படுத்துவதும், காணிக்கை பை வருவதைக் கண்டதும், சில்லறைகளை எடுப்பதற்காக எழுந்து நின்று பணப்பையில் கையை விட்டுத் தேடுவதும் தகுமா? வேண்டாம் பிரியமானவர்களே, தேவன் தந்த பிள்ளைகளானாலும், அவர்களில் திறமைசாலிகளைத் தேவ ஊழியத்துக்கு அர்ப்பணிப்போமாக. கடையானதைக் கொடுப்பதனால்தான் இன்று ஊழியங்கள் கூடக் கேள்விக்குறியாகிவிட்டன. பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் சிறுவயதிலிருந்தே பயிற்று விப்போம். அவர்கள் பெரியவர்களானாலும் அந்த நற்பழக்கத்தை விடமாட்டார்கள். இந்த நற்கிரியை சந்ததியாகத் தொடரட்டும்."

“நான் பிதாவானால் என் கனம் எங்கே? நான் எஜமானானால் எனக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம் எங்கே?…” (மல்கியா 1:6).

ஜெபம்: பரிசுத்த இரத்தத்தை எனக்காகச் சிந்தி, என்னை மீட்டவரே, உமக்கு கொடுக்க வேண்டிய கனத்தையும் முதன்மையானதையும் உமக்கு கொடுக்கிறவர்களாக நாங்களும் எங்கள் சந்ததிகளும் காணப்பட உதவிச்செய்யும். ஆமென்.

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" (Matthew 5:8).

👉 ‘The heart knows what it wants,” culture says, excusing the flighty, selfish choices people so often make. But when Jesus speaks of the heart, He identifies it not as the uncontrollable dreamer, but as the master control switch of your emotions, your intellect, and your will. So to be pure in heart is to be single-minded, to have undivided commitment and spiritual integrity. It is the opposite of duplicity and doubletalk, which are symptoms of a divided and fickle heart."

👉 "A divided heart creates a divided life so that we wear a religious mask on Sunday and a party mask for the rest of the weekend. We wear a business mask at work and a private mask at home. But this is not purity of heart. This is not integrity. Integrity is when your expressed beliefs inform the way you live your life—your beliefs, your choices, your actions are fully integrated."

"If you have received the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you have a pure heart by nature of God’s gracious gift. However, there is another type of purity, one which also comes from God but requires our cooperation. This daily purity is what Jesus says is the key to seeing God. For when we live with an integrity of purpose and a single-mindedness of motives, we more clearly see God at work in all circumstances for our blessing and the wonders of His love for us."

Prayer: Father, forgive me for not allowing Your Word and Your Spirit to infiltrate every aspect of my life. Work in my heart so that I exhibit a life transformed by Your grace and love. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen."

"பதினைந்து வயது வாலிபன் ஒருவன், சிறுபிள்ளைப் பழக்கம் ஒன்றை இன்னமும் விடாதிருந்தான். பார்ப்பதற்கு நல்லதல்ல, இதை விட்டுவிடு என்று சொன்னபோது, அவன், சொன்னது: “என்னால் இதை விடமுடியவில்லை.” இது தீங்கற்ற சிறு பிள்ளைத்தனம். ஆனால் நம்மில் எத்தனைபேர் நம்மில் ஒட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் சில தீதான காரியங்களிலிருந்து நம்மை விடுவிக்க முடியாமல் உள்ளான மனதில் தவித்து நிற்கிறோம்!"

"பவுல், அழகான, ஆழமான, ஆசீர்வாத வாக்குறுதி ஒன்றை நமக்குத் தந்திருக்கிறார். இப்படி யாராவது நம்மை ஆசீர்வதித்திருக்கிறார்களா? அல்லது வாக்குறுதி கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்களா? “நீங்கள் சரீர இச்சைகளின்படி பாவத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியத்தக்கதாக உங்கள் சரீரத்தில் பாவம் ஆளாதிருப்பதாக.” நமது பாவசரீரத்தின் ஆட்சி மாறிவிட்டது; அதாவது நம்மிலிருந்த பாவ சுபாவமே மாறிவிட்டது. இதுவரை அந்த பாவ சுபாவம் நமக்குக் கட்டளை கொடுத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தது. இப்போது நமக்குள் வந்து விட்ட ஆண்டவர் நம்மைப் பொறுப்பெடுத்துள்ளார். இந்த ஒரே விசுவாசம் போதாதா நமது சத்துருவாகிய சாத்தானை ஜெயித்தெழ! ஆனால் இது முடியக்கூடிய காரியமா? விசுவாசித்தாலும் அடிக்கடி நாம் விழுந்துபோகிறோமே! அப்போது வார்த்தை பொய் சொல்லுமா? இல்லை!"

"அப்படியென்றால் பாவ இச்சைகளை எதிர்த்துநின்று இந்த ஆசியை நமதாக்குவது எப்படி? முதலில், நமக்குள் இருக்கின்ற தனிப்பட்ட பெலவீனங்களை நாம் அடையாளங் காணவேண்டும். அடுத்தது, எவ்வளவுதான் கர்த்தருக்குள் புதிய வாழ்வு வாழ எத்தனித்தாலும், நம்மை அடிக்கடி தடுமாற வைக்கின்ற சோதனை எதுவென்பதை நாம் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். அடுத்தது, நாம் எதை விட்டுவிட நினைக்கிறோமோ அதுவே நம்மைத் தொடர்ந்துவரும் என்பதை நன்குணர்ந்து, நம்மை சோதனைக்குள்ளாக்கும் சூழ்நிலை உருவாகும்போது, அவ்விடத்தை, அல்லது அந்தக் காட்சியைத் தவிர்த்துவிடவேண்டும். மேலும், நல்ல நினைவுகளால் நம்மை நிரப்பி, நல்ல பழக்கங்களிலும் நல்ல சேவையிலும் நம்மை ஈடுபடுத்தி ஜெபத்திலும் வேதத்திலும் உறுதியாய் நிற்கவேண்டும். இவை எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் மேலாக, தேவனுடைய பெலத்திலும் கிருபையிலும் நாம் சார்ந்திருப்பதே மேலானது. அதுவே சரியான பாதுகாப்பு!"

"நாம் பாவத்தைக் கண்டு பயப்படவேண்டிய அவசியம் இல்லை. நமது பெலத்தினால் அதை மேற்கொள்ளவே முடியாதுதான். ஆகவே, சோதனை வரும்போது, ‘என் எஜமானர் இயேசுவே; அவர் சத்தத்திற்கே என் செவிகள் திறக்கும்” என்று சொல்லுவோம்."

“…கிருபைக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்கிறபடியால், பாவம் உங்களை மேற்கொள்ளமாட்டாது” (ரோமர் 6:14).

"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful" (Colossians 4:2).

"Have you ever known anyone who went to the airport to catch a flight and decided to live in the plane permanently? Sound crazy? Unfortunately, this is the attitude many Christians have regarding heaven. Without much thought given to our eternal destination, how many of us spend most of our time, energy, and money planning our future for this life on earth?"

"Many who recite the words of the Lord’s Prayer, "Our Father who art in heaven," never stop and think about heaven. In Psalm 19, heaven is used to describe the unending realm of the constellations. In 2 Corinthians 5 and Revelation 21, heaven is referred to as a definite place, a new Jerusalem, and a home prepared for God’s children."

"Our heavenly Father is very much in heaven, but we can experience a little bit of heaven on earth right now because our Lord walks and talks with us. Nothing escapes His watchful eye. He is especially interested in us and dwells in the hearts of those who trust and believe in His Son."

"When you are expecting friends that you love and enjoy, you anticipate the moment when they will arrive. As children of God, we will be in heaven with our Lord, who is longing for our coming."

"When the apostle Paul thought of heaven, he longed to be there. He said, "I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body"(Philippians 1:23-24).

"Can you honestly say today that you share Paul’s sentiment? Are you longing for the time when you will be face to face with the Savior? If you find this question difficult to answer, stop and reflect on the goodness of God. Imagine being in His glorious presence apart from all sorrow, pain, and strife. Now, lift your praises to Him for His unending love and incomparable faithfulness."

"சோதோமின் ராஜாவும் சாலேமின் ராஜாவும்"

"சோதோமின் ராஜாவும் சாலேமின் ராஜாவும்"

"முதலாவது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தையும் அவருடைய நீதியையும் தேடுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது இவைகளெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குக் கூடக் கொடுக்கப்படும்." (மத்தேயு 6.33). 

எபிரெயர்கள் என்ற சொல் ஆரம்ப காலத்தில் நாடோடிகளாய் இடம் விட்டு இடம், நாடு விட்டு நாடு சென்று வாழ்ந்த மக்களை குறித்தது. ஆபிரகாம் நாடோடி என்று சாதாரணமாக நினைத்து விடக் கூடாது. ஆபிரகாம் ஒரு இனத்துக்கு தலைவன். லோத்து சிறைப் பட்டு போனதைக் கேள்விப் பட்டவுடன் ஆபிரகாம் சிறிதும் தாமதிக்காமல் தன்னிடம் பயிற்சி பெற்ற 318 பராக்கிரம சாலிகளை தெரிந்து கொண்டு உடனடியாக மீட்கச் சென்றான். 318 பராக்கிரம சாலிகள் இருக்க வேண்டுமென்றால் அவனிடம் குறைந்தது 1000 பேர் இருந்திருப்பார்கள். ஆபிரகாம் யுத்தம் செய்யவும் எதிரிகளை முறியடிக்கவும் வல்லமை உடையவராகவும் தைரியம் நிறைந்தவராகவும் இருந்தார். தன் சகோதரனாகிய லோத்தையும், அவனுடைய பொருள்களையும், ஸ்திரீகளையும், ஜனங்களையும் திருப்பிக்கொண்டுவந்தார். நாமும் அப்படித்தான் பிரச்சினை, இக்கட்டுகள் வரும்போது தளர்ந்து விடாமல் அதை எதிர் கொள்ளுகிறவர்களாய் இருக்கிறவர்களாயும், எப்போதும் ஆயத்தமுள்ளவர்களாயும் இருக்க வேண்டும்.

"நம்முடைய தேவன் எப்போதும் நம்முடனே இருக்கிறார். ஆபிரகாமை இரண்டு ராஜாக்கள் ஒரேநேரத்தில் சந்திக்க வருகிறார்கள். சோதோமின் ராஜா புறப்பட்டு, ராஜாவின் பள்ளத்தாக்கு என்னும் சாவே பள்ளத்தாக்குமட்டும் அவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோனான். அதே நேரம்“உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய ஆசாரியனாயிருந்த சாலேமின் ராஜாவாகிய மெல்கிசேதேக்கு ஆபிராகமை சந்தித்து அப்பமும் திராட்சரசமும் கொண்டுவந்து, அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்து: வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் உடையவராகிய உன்னதமான தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் உண்டாவதாக என்று ஆசீர்வதித்தார்” (ஆதி 14.17-20). சோதோமின் ராஜா உலகத்திற்கு அடையாளமாகவும், சாலேமின் ராஜா தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு அடையாளமாகவும் நாம் தியானிக்கலாம்."

"உலகத்தின் ராஜாவின் உத்தேசம் உன்னுடைய ஆட்களும் நீயும் அவனுக்கு வேண்டும். பதிலாக உனக்கு இன்னும் அநேக நன்மைகளையும் பொருட்களையும் தருவான். அவனை சார்ந்து இருந்தால் அவனுடைய ஆள் என்கிற பெயர் இருக்கும். அதிகமான மரியாதை மக்களிடம் இருக்கும். ஆனால் சாலேமின் ராஜாவிடம் உன்னதத்தின் ஆசீர்வாதம் கிடைக்கும். ஆபிரகாம் உலகத்து ராஜாவை சந்திக்காமல் சாலேமின் ராஜாவை சந்தித்தார். உலகத்தின் ராஜா ஒரு வேளை என்னை முதலில் பார்க்காமல் மற்றவனை பார்த்து விட்டானே என்று நினைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம். ஆனால் உன்னதமானவரின் ஆசீர்வாதம் என்ன என்பதை ஆபிரகாம் அறிந்து வைத்திருந்தார். முதலாவது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தையும் அவருடைய நீதியையும் தேடுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது இவைகளெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குக் கூடக் கொடுக்கப்படும்" (மத்தேயு 6.33). 

"உலகத்தின் ஆசீர்வாதங்கள் உன்னை சூழ நிற்கும் போது நீங்கள் அவைகளை நீங்கள் பெருட்படுத்தாமல் தேவனிடம் சார்ந்து இருக்க வேண்டும். தேவனுடைய சரீரமாகிய சபையில் நீங்கள் அங்கத்தினராக இருக்க வேண்டும்.தேவனுக்கு முதலிடம் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். இந்த உலகத்தில் நீங்கள் நேடுகிறது எதுவானாலும் இந்த உலகத்தோடு அழிந்து விடும்.உங்கள் படிப்பு,அந்தஸ்து,வேலை, சம்பாத்தியம், மனைவி, பிள்ளைகள், குடும்பம், நண்பர்கள், உறவினர்கள் மட்டுமல்ல உங்கள் அத்தனையும் உங்கள் மரணத்தோடு முடிந்து விடும், மறக்கப் பட்டு விடும். தனியாக உலகத்தில் வந்த நீங்கள் தனியாகத்தான் போக வேண்டும். ஒன்றும் உங்களோடு வராது. நீங்கள் அழியாத ராஜ்யத்தை சுதந்தரித்து கொள்ளவேண்டுமென்றால் நீங்கள் தெரிந்தெடுக்க வேண்டியது சாலேமின் ராஜாவைத்தான் என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். ஆமென். அல்லேலுயா."

"How to Be a Fruitful Witness"

"Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel" (Ephesians 6:19).

A recent study revealed that 73 percent of born again Christians believe they have a personal responsibility to share their faith. However, only half reported sharing the Gospel at least once in the last year to an unsaved person. Why is there so much reluctance among Christians to witness to others?

Many Christians believe they must take a stand for Christ in their own strength -- and so they become discouraged. Others are crippled by their fear of rejection. As followers of Christ, we must overcome these hindrances, trusting that Christ within us will give us the words to say.

What's the key to being a fruitful witness? Obedience. When we obey God's leading, our work will bear fruit -- even if we don't see it -- because we are doing His work.

In Haggai 1:1-14, because of opposition and discouragement, the Israelites had halted their mission to rebuild God's temple for 16 years. Through the prophet Haggai, God revealed something that was holding them back. "This people says, 'The time has not come, the time that the Lord's house should be built'" (Haggai 1:2).

How many of us have used the same age-old excuse? "It's not the right time." God's convicting response to the Israelites' excuse in Haggai 1:4 would probably sound like this to us today: "You have time for entertainment and you have time for your career, but do you have time for My service?"

In Haggai 1:12-14, after God revealed the state of their hearts, the Israelites did not want to remain apathetic any longer. By God's mercy and grace, they returned to the Lord. God can always redirect us when we have forgotten our purpose.

Prayer: Lord, forgive me for forgetting the urgency and beauty of the call to share Your Gospel. Redirect my heart to be centered on You and to do the work You have called me to. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"உயர்ந்த அனுபவம்"

"அவர்கள் ஜனங்களிடத்தில் வந்த போது, ஒரு மனுஷன் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து, அவர் முன்பாக முழங்கால்படியிட்டு: ஆண்டவரே, என் மகனுக்கு இரங்கும், அவன் சந்திரரோகியாய்க் கொடிய வேதனைப்படுகிறான்; அடிக்கடி தீயிலும், அடிக்கடி ஜலத்திலும் விழுகிறான்’. – (மத்தேயு 17:14-15).17.7.1

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும் அவருடன் பேதுரு, யாக்கோபு, யோவான் ஆகிய மூன்று சீஷர்களும் மறுரூப மலையிலிருந்து அப்போதுதான் இறங்கி வந்திருந்தார்கள். அந்த அனுபவம் இன்னும் அவர்கள் இருதயத்திலிருந்து அகலாதிருந்தது. மோசேயும், எலியாவும் அங்கு இயேசுவுடன் பேசி கொண்டிருந்ததை நேரில் அந்த சீஷர்கள் கண்டிருந்தனர். இயேசுவின் முகம் சூரியனை போல பிரகாசித்திருப்பதை நேரில் கண்டிருந்தனர். ‘ஆஹா! என்ன ஒரு உன்னத அனுபவம் அது! அதிலேயே அப்படியே இருந்து விட்டால் எத்தனை நலமாயிருக்கும்’ என்று யோசித்தபடியே, அவர்கள் அந்த நினைப்புடனே கீழே இறங்கி வந்து கொண்டிருந்தனர்.

அவர்கள் அப்படி இறங்கி ஜனங்களிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, நிஜ வாழ்க்கையின் பிரச்சனைகளை சந்திக்க நேர்ந்தது. ஒவ்வொரு மலை அனுபவத்திற்கு பிறகும் நிச்சயமாக ஒரு பள்ளத்தாக்கின் அனுபவம் இருக்கத்தான் செய்கிறது.

ஒரு வேளை ஒரு அருமையான நற்செய்தி கூட்டத்திற்கு சென்று, அங்கு பிரசங்கியாரின் பிரசங்கத்தையும், தேனிலும் இனிதான பாடல்களையும் கேட்டு விட்டு, வீடு வந்து சேரும்போது, ஒருவேளை நாம் நிஜ வாழ்க்கையின் நிஜங்களை உணரும்போது, அட, இதுதான் உண்மையான வாழ்க்கை! என்று நினைக்க தோன்றும். அப்படியே அந்த கூட்டங்களிலேயே இருந்தால் எத்தனை சந்தோஷம்! எத்தனை சமாதானம்! ஆனால், நாம் வாழ போவது, யதார்த்தமாய் இருக்க போவது நாம் வாழ போகிற வாழ்க்கைதான். நாம் சந்திக்க இருக்கிற பிரச்சனைகளைதான்.

‘இயேசு ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்று, ஜலத்திலிருந்து கரையேறினவுடனே, இதோ, வானம் அவருக்குத் திறக்கப்பட்டது; தேவ ஆவி புறாவைப்போல இறங்கி, தம்மேல் வருகிறதைக் கண்டார். அன்றியும், வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு சத்தம் உண்டாகி: இவர் என்னுடைய நேசகுமாரன், இவரில் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறேன் என்று உரைத்தது’ – (மத்தேயு 3:16-17). இயேசுகிறிஸ்து நினைத்திருக்கலாம், பிதாவுடனும், பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவருடனும் இருக்கும் இந்த அனுபவமல்லவா, ஐக்கியமல்லவா நான் பரலோகில் கொண்டிருந்தேன் என்று. ஆனால் அந்த உன்னத அனுபவத்திற்கு பின், உடனே அவர் சாத்தானுடன் சோதனையை சந்திக்க வேண்டியிருந்தது. உயர உன்னதமான அனுபவத்திற்கு பிறகு, பள்ளத்தாக்கை போன்ற நம்மை திணற வைக்கும் சோதனைகள் நமக்காக காத்திருக்கலாம்! கிறிஸ்து சாத்தானை வேத வார்த்தைகளால் ஜெயித்தார். மறுரூப மலையிலிருந்து கீழே இறங்கி வந்தபோது, சீஷர்களுக்கு சந்திர ரோகியாய் தவிக்கும் அந்த மகனுக்கு என்ன செய்வது என்று தெரியவில்லை. ஆனால் இயேசுகிறிஸ்து அவனை கொண்டு வரசெய்து, அவனிலிருந்த பிசாசை அதட்டினார். அது உடனே அவனை விட்டு அகன்றது. இயேசுகிறிஸ்து உன்னத அனுபவத்திற்கு பின் வரும் பள்ளத்தாக்கை போன்ற சோதனைகளையும், பிரச்சனைகளையும் எளிதாய் சந்தித்தார். பிரச்சனைகளை தீர்த்து வைத்தார்.

நாமும் எப்போதும் உயர உன்னதமான அனுபவங்களிலேயே இருந்து விட முடியாது. கீழே பள்ளத்தாக்கை போன்ற சோதனைகளையும் பிரச்சனைகளையும் சந்திக்கத்தான் வேண்டும். அதில்தான் நாம் கர்த்தருக்கு கீழ்ப்படிதலையும், அவர் மேல் சார்ந்து ஜீவிக்கிற ஜீவியத்தையும் பெற்று கொள்கிறோம். அவரில் அதிகமாய் அன்பு கூர்ந்து வாழ கற்று கொள்கிறோம். நாம் கண்டு அல்ல, காணாமல் அவரை விசுவாசிக்கிறவர்கள். நாம் தான் அதிக பாக்கியவான்கள்.

நம்மை ஊக்குவிக்க தேவன் அவ்வப்போது அருமையான வெளிப்பாடுகளையும், தரிசனங்களையும், அனுபவங்களையும் தருகிறார். ஆனால் அதிலேயே நாம் நின்று விடக்கூடாது. நின்று விட முடியாது. பள்ளத்தாக்கின் அனுபவத்தினூடே செல்லும்போது, தேவன் நம்மோடு கூட இருப்பதை உணர்ந்து, அவரில் களிகூர்ந்து, ஜெயம் பெற்று வாழும் வாழ்க்கையே உன்னத வாழ்க்கையாகும். அப்படிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கை வாழவே நாம் அழைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம்.

‘நீ தண்ணீர்களைக் கடக்கும்போது நான் உன்னோடு இருப்பேன்; நீ ஆறுகளைக் கடக்கும்போது அவைகள் உன்மேல் புரளுவதில்லை; நீ அக்கினியில் நடக்கும்போது வேகாதிருப்பாய்; அக்கினிஜுவாலை உன்பேரில் பற்றாது’ – (ஏசாயா 43:2) என்று வாக்களித்த தேவன் நம் ஆறுகளை போன்ற பிரச்சனைகளிலும், அக்கினி போன்ற அனுபவங்களிலும் நம்மோடு இருக்கும்போது, நாம் பள்ளத்தாக்கின் அனுபவத்திலும் களிப்போடு கடந்து வர அவர் உதவி செய்வார். ஏனெனில் ஆறுகளை கடக்கும்போது, அவர் படகாய் வந்திடுவார். அக்கினியில் இருக்கும்போது நான்காவது ஆளாக அவர் வந்து, அக்கினியின் வாசம் கூட நம்மீது வீசாதபடி வெளியே பத்திரமாய் கொண்டு வருவார். அல்லேலூயா!

ஒரு நாள் இயேசுகிறிஸ்து வருவார். அவர் நம்முடைய கண்ணீரை துடைப்பார். ‘பள்ளத்தாக்கில் வாழ்ந்த வாழ்க்கை போதும்’ என்று அன்போடு நம்மை உயர்ந்த பரலோக வாழ்க்கைக்கு கொண்டு செல்வார். அங்கு சோதனையோ, பிரச்சனைகளோ, துன்பங்களோ, பள்ளத்தாக்கின் எந்த அனுபவங்களும் இல்லை. நாம் திரும்ப பள்ளத்தாக்கின் வாழ்க்கைக்கு வரவே மாட்டோம். உயர்ந்த உன்னத மலை போன்ற அனுபவத்திலேயே என்றென்றும் வாழுவோம். ஆமென் அல்லேலூயா!

🍒 "He Makes Faithfulness Fruitful" 🍒

"Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward" (Mark 9:41)."

👉 In the 1800s, there was an ordinary Christian man teaching a small Sunday school class of boys in Chicago. This man had a conversation after the meeting with one of the teenagers who then prayed and received Christ. That young man was D.L. Moody.

👉 On one of Moody's trips to England, he befriended F.B. Meyer and invited him to come to the United States to speak to a large group of young men. In that service, J. Wilbur Chapman made a commitment to Christ, and he became a great evangelist, leading tens of thousands of people to Christ. One of these people, Billy Sunday, became his traveling companion.

👉 Billy Sunday preached in many places and after preaching in Charlotte, North Carolina, a group of farmers began to cry out to the Lord, "God, do something great for the world, beginning in Charlotte!" And they invited an evangelist by the name of Mordecai Hamm to preach in Charlotte.

👉 During one of Hamm's services, some teenagers came forward: Billy Graham, Grady Wilson, and T. W. Wilson. The Wilson brothers became administrators of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

👉 And so that Sunday school teacher, Edward Kimball, impacted countless generations for Christ through his faithful witness of the Gospel. Does that small act of faithfulness inspire you? Kimball simply obeyed, and God honored him with fruit beyond measure.

👉 Are you ready to be faithful to God's Great Commission? All that is required is humble obedience. If you stand in Christ and not in your own strength, He will give you the words at the right time and make your smallest act of faithfulness fruitful. He will help you overcome the fear of failure and instead count it all joy to share the hope you've been given in Christ -- even at the risk of rejection. Whatever the cost to your time and comfort, He is worth it.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the example of this small act of faithfulness to Your call bearing immeasurable fruit. Help me to remember that You have blessed me to be a blessing as I bear Your Word to others. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

கடந்த 2020-ம் ஆண்டில் கொரோனா ஏற்படுத்திய நிதி நெருக்கடி சொல்லி முடியாதது. நமது நாட்டில் மிகப்பெரிய பணத்தேவை ஏற்பட்டது. ஒவ்வொரு தரப்பினரும் தங்களால் முடிந்த பண உதவியை அரசாங்கத்திடம் அளித்தனர். நாட்டின் இந்த தேவையை மத்தியப்பிரதேசத்தை சேர்ந்த இரண்டு சிறுவர்கள் உணர்ந்தனர். மிகவும் பின்தங்கிய, வசதியற்ற கிராமத்தைச் சேர்ந்த இரண்டு பேரும் தங்களின் உண்டியலில் சேர்த்து வைத்திருந்த பணத்தை எண்ணிப்பார்க்காமல் கூட தங்கள் மாவட்ட காவல் அதிகாரியிடம் கொடுத்தனர். அந்த பணத்தை பத்திரமாக மத்திய அரசிடம் அந்த அதிகாரி ஒப்படைத்தார். மாவட்ட நிர்வாகம், காவல்துறை அதிகாரிகள், பொதுமக்கள் என அனைவருமே அந்த சிறுவர்களைப் பாராட்டினர்.

ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள தேவன், ஆனால் ஜனங்கள் சாப்பிட அப்பம் எங்கே கொள்ளலாம் என்று கேட்கிறார். யோவான் 6ம் அதிகாரத்தில் இதை நாம் வாசிக்கிறோம். இதுதான் தேவனின் உள்ளம், தேவனின் தேவை. இதைக் கவனித்த பெயர் சொல்லப்படாத சிறுவன் ஒருவன் தன் கையிலிருந்த 5 வாற்கோதுமை அப்பங்களையும், 2 மீன்களையும் சற்றும் யோசிக்காமல் எடுத்துக் கொடுத்தான். இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அந்த அப்பங்களையும், மீன்களையும் கொண்டு ஏறக்குறைய ஐயாயிரம் பேருக்குக் கொடுத்தார். மேலும் மீதியான துணிக்கைகளை சேர்த்து வையுங்கள் என்று கூறினார். ஒன்றும் சேதமடையக் கூடாது என்று அந்த சிறுவனை கனப்படுத்தும்படி கூறினார். மீதியான துணிக்கைகளை பன்னிரண்டு கூடை நிறைய எடுத்தார்கள்.

இதை வாசிக்கின்ற நண்பர்களே! இந்த நாட்களில் தேவனின் தேவை ஒன்றும் இல்லை என்று நினைத்துவிடாதீர்கள். ஆண்டவர் இயேசு வலது கைக்கும் இடது கைக்கும் வித்தியாசம் தெரியாத ஜனங்களின் இரட்சிப்பிற்காக பரிதபித்துக் கொண்டே இருக்கிறார். என்னால் படைக்கப்பட்ட என் ஜனங்கள் என்னை அறியாமல் எங்கோ அலைந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களே என்று கண்ணீர் வடிக்கிறார். இந்த உலக மக்கள் மீட்பை பெற வேண்டும், பரலோக ராஜ்ஜியத்திற்கு தகுதியுள்ளவர்களாய் வாழ வேண்டும். இவைகள்தான் தேவனின் தேவை! இதை சந்திப்பதற்கு நாம் சிறுபிள்ளையைப் போல நம்மிடம் உள்ள திறமை, தாலந்து, கல்வி, அறிவு, பணம் ஏன் நம்மையே கொடுப்போமா? தேவன் நம்மைக் கொண்டுதான் இந்த தேசத்தை, உலகை ஆசீர்வதிக்க விரும்புகிறார். இதைப் புரிந்து கொண்டவர்களாய் கள்ளம் கபடம் இல்லாத குழந்தையைப் போல நம்மையே ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போம். தேவனின் தேவையை சந்திப்போம்.

“Today if you will hear His voice…” – Psalms 95:8

Alexander the great, waged war on many countries of the world and conquered them. Once when the war was over, he was resting in his war tent. His horse went out without his knowledge. He just ate what came his way and lay down infront of a shop. The horse was blocking the way. So, no one could go to that shop. As the horse belonged to the king, no one made an attempt to drive him away. At last, the shop-keeper took a bell and he rang the bell near his ears, but it could not be awakened. Just then the soldiers came searching for the horse. On seeing the shop-keeper ringing the bell in his ears, they burst into laughter and they said that the horse would not be scared of the clanging sound of the swords and weapons in the battle field and the sound of the bell mattered nothing to him. They woke the horse up and rode away.

Whenever the Israelites and their kings who reigned them committed sin, the Lord sent His servants and the prophets again and again. But neither did they listen nor incline the ear to hear their words. They did not turn from their evil way and deeds. They stiffened their necks in order not to listen or to take correction. Thus, God’s wrath was revealed to them.

In the olden days, we listened to the messages and sermons only in churches and in special meetings. But nowadays they are available in plenty in You tube and face book. We have been listening to different messages from various servants of God. Listening to their preaching is good. But there is a drawback in it. The word of God is interpreted in different ways. Thus, we assume that we have a good knowledge and understanding of God. But our hearts remain the same without any such understanding of God. Are we listening to the sermons without any change of heart? Do we turn a deaf ear to the Voice of God like Alexander’s horse? Let us ponder. Let us test ourselves to find if our hearts are stiffened and without feelings and tendency to obey. It is not important how much God’s message we hear but how much we pay heeds to His words and correct our way. Let us listen carefully to God’s word and take correction and inherit blessings.

அதிகாலையில் ஆண்டவரோடு

"அதிகாலையில் ஆண்டவரோடு"  

“கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்களோ புதுப்பெலன் அடைந்து, கழுகுகளைப்போலச் செட்டைகளை அடித்து எழும்புவார்கள்;…” - ஏசாயா 40:31

“நான் காலைதோறும் இரண்டு மணி நேரமாவது தேவசமூகத்தில் தரித்திராவிட்டால், அன்றைக்கு சாத்தானுடைய கை ஓங்கும். ஜெபம் கூடும்போது ஜெயமும் கூடும். தேவ பிரசன்னமே எம் மகிழ்ச்சி! தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையே எனது ஆகாரம்!” என்று கூறியுள்ளார் புராட்டஸ்டண்டு சபைகளின் முன்னோடி மார்டின் லூத்தர்.

 ஆயிரக்கணக்கான சிறு பிள்ளைகளைத் தன்னுடைய விசுவாசமுள்ள ஜெபத்தினால் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் போஷித்து வந்த ஜார்ஜ் முல்லர், “65 வருடங்களாக என் படுக்கையினருகில் ஒரு பாத்திரத்தில் குளிர்ந்த தண்ணீரை வைத்துக்கொண்டு அதிகாலையில் குறித்த நேரத்தில் எழுந்து முகத்தைக் கழுவி தேவனோடு ஜெபிக்கும் வழக்கத்தைக் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்” என்றார். வல்லமையாய் ஊழியம் செய்த ஆஸ்வால்டு ஸ்மித் கூறும்போது “என்னுடைய கிறிஸ்தவ ஜீவியத்தின் ஆரம்ப நாட்களிலிருந்தே நான் அதிகாலையில் தேவ சமூகத்தில் காத்திருக்கும் பழக்கத்தை ஆரம்பித்தேன். ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் தேவனோடு நேரம் செலவழிப்பதை 40 ஆண்டுகளாக கைக்கொண்டு வருகிறேன்” என்றார். இப்படி தேவ மனிதர்கள் தங்கள் ஜெப வாழ்வை குறித்து சாட்சி பகர்கிறார்கள். 

வேதத்தில் ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசி இந்தக் காரியத்தை அழகாக விளக்குகிறார். கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்களோ புதுப்பெலன் அடைந்து கழுகுகளைப் போலச் செட்டைகளை அடித்து எழும்புவார்கள். அவர்கள் ஓடினாலும் இளைப்படையார்கள், நடந்தாலும் சோர்ந்து போகார்கள் என்று! இந்த வசனத்தை தெரியாத கிறிஸ்தவர்களே இருக்க முடியாது. ஆம், கிறிஸ்தவர்களாகிய நாம் சந்திக்கும் ஆபத்துகளில் ஒன்று, அடிக்கடி சில வசனங்களைக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டேயிருப்பதால் அதன் கருத்தையும் முக்கியத்துவத்தையும் அறியாமல் விட்டு விடுவது! ஆனால் கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கும்படி வேதம் நமக்கு கற்றுக்கொடுக்கிறது. வசனம் தெரிந்த நம்மில் எத்தனை பேர் கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறோம். அதிகாலை ஜெபத்தின் அருமைகளை அறிந்தவர்களாகிய நம்மில் எத்தனை பேர் வசனத்திற்கு கீழ்ப்படிந்து ஜெபிக்கிறோம்? வசனம் தெரிந்த பக்தகோடிகளையல்ல, வசனத்திற்கு கீழ்ப்படியும் பரிசுத்தர் கூட்டங்களையே தேவன் ஆசீர்வதிக்க விரும்புகிறார். நம்மைக் குறித்து என்ன?

இப்பொழுதெல்லாம் சீக்கிரமாய் எழுந்து பள்ளிக்கு சமைக்க வேண்டியதில்லை என்பதால், காலையில் எழும்பும் பழக்கமே அநேக குடும்பங்களில் இல்லாமல் போய்விட்டது. அதிகாலை ஜெபமே மறந்துபோய் விட்டது. அப்புறம், அப்புறம் என்று நாளும் முடிந்துவிடுகிறது. தேவஜனமே! தேவன் நமக்கு கொடுத்திருக்கும் இக்கிருபையின் காலத்தை பயன்படுத்தி ஜெபத்தில் வளருவோம். புதுபெலன் அடைவோம், அப்போது சூழ்நிலை எதுவானாலும் நாம் சோர்ந்து போகவுமாட்டோம், இளைப்படையவும் மாட்டோம். அல்லேலூயா!

"The Plank in Your Eye" Day-4.

"Why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" (Matthew 7:3).

Read Matthew 7:1-21. Many today point to the words of Jesus to defend an "anything goes" way of living. They remind us that Jesus said, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged" (Matthew 7:1). But is Jesus really saying that we should turn a blind eye toward sin?

Our Lord is not telling us to accept perversion—shrugging our shoulders and saying, "Who am I to judge?" As we've seen throughout this study, the entire Sermon on the Mount presents a contrast between the righteousness we receive from Christ and self-righteousness; between internal faith and external rituals; between God's way and man's way.

My friend, when Jesus says, "Do not judge," He means that we should avoid judging the unseen motives of other people. Only God can see the heart; only He knows what is happening inside a person's mind. As human beings, our judgments tend to be merciless. But God, who sees all things and knows all things, is perfect in judgment and mercy.

Judging motives can distort our view of other people because we judge what we cannot see. Judging in this way also distorts our view of God because we presume that He judges by the same standard we do. Moreover, this type of judging distorts the view we have of ourselves. That's why Jesus rightly says, "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" (Matthew 7:3).

In this specific passage, Jesus is talking particularly about our relationships with other believers. He's not saying we should turn a blind eye on our brother's sin. Not at all. Rather, we'd better do some self-examination, confession, and repentance to deal with our own sin before we try to help somebody else with theirs.

Once you're able to mourn over your sin—once you're able to repent of your sin—then you'll be better prepared to help your brother or sister. Any confrontation of sin in another person's life must be done in meekness. It must be done in humility, not in pride, for we have nothing to brag about except the blood of Jesus Christ.

The way of Jesus, described perfectly in the Sermon on the Mount, is not something we can hope to master on our own. The only righteousness we have comes from Him. If we can keep this at the forefront of our minds, we will experience the abundant life Jesus promised.

Prayer: Father, help me to see my own sin and to confess it readily in repentance. I pray that, as I do, I would be an encouragement to my brothers and sisters in Christ, showing them that Your grace is sufficient always. May we together seek to follow You all our days. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
